  1. I liked your mod so much that I have included it within my modpack: Hawaiian Paradise. Hope you don't mind.;) Thanx!
  2. You only have to mod you install file. Uninstall works without modding. The thing is that you make groups in the install file. In my case: </roles> <groups customRequired="Hawaiian Paradise"> <dependancy group="Plants" requiredGroup="" defaultChecked="True"> </dependancy> I have split it in 2 sections (to see it better here). Your new code has to be under the </roles>. The 1st yellow code says wich mod must be installed for the pack. You can switch te line Hawaiian Paradise with watever you want (Illusion Island Paradise);). This first code is alway's checked in the install menu and can't be unchecked. In reallity this part doesn't do anthing, just a visual thing in the install menu. It installs nothing! Its must be used however to make the install file work. The second yellow code makes an optional groep. You give this group a preferd name (in my case Plants). The part witch say defaultChecked="True"> say's if it its default checked in the menu. True is Yes and False is no (I think). Now you have made a group. The next step is to "put" you install code in the group: </groups> </properties> <instructions> <instruction type="installPackedFile" failOnError="True" enabled="True" comment="" group="Required"> <parameter name="bnkFile" value="#bnkFrontEndHiResPath#\LOG_IN.bnk" /> <parameter name="patchDirectory" value="\patchs\" /> <parameter name="newFile" value="fla_0013.2db" /> </instruction> The above yellow part is the start of the install code without the specific group. The pink tekst says wether or not to put it into a group. You can simply use required to say that this part must alway's be installed. The user cannot choose this item in the menu, it always installs. Than you get your acually choosable group: <instruction type="installPackedFile" failOnError="True" enabled="True" comment="" group="Plants"> <parameter name="bnkFile" value="#bnkLevelHawaiPath#\CommonWorld.bnk" /> <parameter name="patchDirectory" value="\patchs\" /> <parameter name="newFile" value="v_banp.2db" /> </instruction> The name Plants is the group name, witch must be excactly the same as the name used to make a group (light blue word). Hopefully you get it now! This was the simple part (witch I used). You can also choose exclude, to say "if you install that than don't install this" (can be nice to choose a weather type). But I would reccommend to not use the exclude thing until you get the 1st part working. So I'm not going to say here how to include that.;) Succes!
  3. Thank you for you effort! From now on I will only make mods for my own mod pack: Hawaiian Paradise. But offcourse you can allways use the textures within that pack for your own. The reason for my own pack is simply becouse I can make it to my own ideas. You can combine our mods becouse it will work fine, the textures from the last installed pack are the ones used in the game offcourse. If you want to see how to make options for installing different items for you pack (GPS or not, etc) look into the install file from my pack. You can even make it more diverse by use exclude in the file (to choose different mods witch uses the same 2db file).
  4. Welcome on Hawaii! Driving in TDU on Hawaii is great, but this mod is trying to make it even better! Its my 1st and last modpack. This pack will slowly evolve into (hopefully) something great. It will start with version 0.1 and can be combined with other modpacks. Nice touch is the fact that most mods from this pack are optional when installing. To See all install options you have to use the slider in the menu to slide to the right: The 1st mod in the pack are different plants: The red banana also seen in iLLusion: Island Paradise. This banana ads a little colour to the Island. Texture made by Edwin. 2th new leafs for this palm tree. Texture made by Edwin. The 3rd and 4th plant are 2 palms with the same leafs but different hight. These palms also add a different colour to the game than basic green. Texture made by Edwin. The 2nd mod in the pack are different tropical birds: 1st Bird is the Rainbow Lorakeet. 2nd a Parrot. 3th a Paradise Bird. And the last bird is also a Parrot. Textures made by: Edwin 3rd mod is getting rid of the autumn leafs. Instead you wil get some nice tropical butterflies: 4th mod is in the same picture. Its the F1 Ferrari witch will point the way for you in races. Butterfly and F1 Ferrari textures made by: Edwin The 5th mod is a new 3d (sort of) license plate for you cars: This mod will give you somthing different than the standart 505 plate. But it still is a Hawaiian plate. Textures made by: Edwin. The 6th mod is a pack of all 16 billboards: They should give you a dreamy Hawaiian feel. Textures made by: Edwin The 7th mod is a weather pack witch I modified from: Eternalsky's Eternal Skies mod [very minor update v1.1b] I have included 4 weather types: The 1st one is called: Clear blue sky. The 2nd one is: Orange sunset. The 3rd is: Partly clouded with sun. And the 4th is: Tropical depression. The 8th mod is the Patch HD v1.0: from 2CV SUPER GT integrated in the Hawaiian Paradise mod. Offcourse with the kind permission of 2CV SUPER GT. Thanx! The HD mod has 5 different options. - The 1st is the original TDU version, this mod only changes the grass and bushes to be the same as in the Island Paradise mod from Illusion. - The 2nd is the HD 100 mod which is the same as the 1st but the level of details "high" are remaind to appear till 300m. - The 3rd is the HD 300 mod which is the same as the 1st but the level of details "high" are remaind to appear till 900m. - The 4th is the HD 500 mod which is the same as the 1st but the level of details "high" are remaind to appear till 1500m. - The 5th is the HD Unlimited mod which is the same as the 1st but the level of details "high" are remaind to appear infinite. The HD mod is quite demanding for the system so standard the 1st mod is installed. The 9th mod are new roads made by Opelos_HUN: You can choose either Dark roads, Light Roads or an combination between the Dark/Light/Default roads. The 10th mod are new "bush", "herb" and "grass" textures: The long standing cacti on the left are made by Illusion in his Nature V2a texture pack. The grasses are made also by Illusion, I only made a color change on the grass in front of the big cactus. The Opuntia cactus and Yucca plant are newly made by Edwin. I Hope you like it! The sand texture is set back to the orginal one to prevent "the blackness in the distance error". The gras flat on the ground (herb) texture is new, made by Edwin. If you want to install other environment mods, than make sure to install the Hawaiian Paradise last. The plant textures are from bigger texture files. Within it you find the "blueprints" of multiple plants. Besides my own textures you will also find some of the origional textures and other textures made by Illusion. I'm also very thankfull for Eternalsky's weather pack! A very special thanx goes to 2CV SUPER GT for the great HD mod! Also a big thanx goes to Opelos_Hun for his roads. And finaly a very big thanx to the person who made everything possible: Djey! The Download link: Filefront Hawaiian Paradise V 0.1.9 Mediafire: Hawaiian Paradise V 0.1.9 Please note that you must install Djey's Magic Map prior to installing and using this mod.
  5. I'm sorry about the negative feedback... But i'm sure we can use the feedback to our advantage! I'm still having feedback for you. Thirst the leafs butterfly thing. You have used the wrong file, you should have used feuille2 for the butterflies. feuille is not usable becouse those leafs/butterflies only appear from a tree where you have crashed into (so its normally not visible) Secondly the birds. The install files uses the birds.bnk. Within that file are the folowing birds: As you can see, thats not right. The 1st bird is ok. The 2nd should be the paradise bird. The 3th should be the same as the 1st. The 4th should be the lorakeet. The 5th bird is ok. So in the above things, the whole problem is that you are using the bnk file in the install, witch contains the wrong data. Than the sun thing. You are totally right about the real live situation. Only thing is that the real live situation is making people curse becouse of "the terrible sun shining in your eyes and blinding you". You recreated the same thing, so I hate it (I drive a lot ). The new gps map is very anoying becouse you only see the straats and have no orientation. A real live gps (tomtom) let u see more than just the roads. Besides the map is very ugly in partly black and partly overbright realmap. My advise would be to use the old map with the new gps cover. Of course we can use the "light" version, but it would be much nicer to have a "good working" full version. What is the bother of the full version if (almost)nobody uses it? Hope you will use (and read) this positively!:) I know it cost a lot of effort to make all of this, so you have my respect for it!
  6. I would like to say i'm very happy with the new mod, sadly i can not...:sulk: There are some "things" that are not "as supposed to be". 1st some things are missing: As you can see from your pic, the butterflies are leafs again... From my screenshot you can see that the pigeon is a pigeon and not the Rainbow Lorikeet. Also the map is black (I don't like that, its anoying to drive) 2th The picture above also shows the sun. I think its not right either, its way to bright and the sun rays are blocking your sight (in game its worse) 3th the map is not working properly. An area is black while the rest is to bright, it looks realy ugly. 4th the uninstall script is not working properly. It crashes at the end (havent found the issue). In short, for me the 0.8.9 works much better. I'm really sorry...:( I do appreciate the effort! ;) Maybe you can fix the problems and still call it 0.9.
  7. I want to help you, but i do not have much time. So I am not the best person for testing...:(
  8. And I hereby proudly present the Rainbow Lorikeet (same pack with different bird). Hope you all like it!
  9. Thanx for you reply!:D Do you have any suggestions for a tropical bird (or other animal) instead of the huge butterfly? I would not like to see the pigeon in the 0.9 release... I must say that long leg and nek birds don't work (flamingo etc.). Edit: How about the Rainbow Lorikeet (see google).
  10. Have you tried Anisotropic Filtering 16X ? If that is not the problem than please use a screen image of the problem...
  11. New textures ready! I'm ready to release the new textures!:) 1st is a new palmtree texture. In the other textures you can see the new tropical birds and 2 different butterflies. 1 butterfly replaces the browns floating leafs, the other is the biggest butterfly on earth (in real live 25cm across) witch flies like a bird. The tropical birds consist of 2 different parrots (red/blue and green/yellow) and a paradise bird. To use the textures you can just copy all the files in the attached zipped file to the patchs directory of the Illusion mod. Furthermore the flying papers are replaced with new ones. The 1st mods (bismarckia and ensete) are also included in the zip file Hope you all like it, and that it will be used in the official mod.:excited:
  12. New birds + butterflies I was hoping that you will let me help you with some textures... The birds need a raplacement and the floating leafes also. So i am busy making tropical birds and a butterfly instead of the leafs. I will post the result in this topic and hope you will use it!:)
  13. Thanx! :) I was kind of hoping you would like to use it.;) The mod I made is free for everyone to use as they like!
  14. Look here: http://forum.tdu-central.com/showthread.php?t=19622
  15. Less green First I want to say that i'm very impressed with your mod! It realy gave a new feel to the game. Just one thing, the colour green is very abundant. So I thought to add a little colour . I made 2 (actually 3) plant modifications. 1 is a red banana inspired on the Ensete ventricosum "maurelii". The other one is a white palm called Bismarckia nobilis (see photo's). I hope you like it! Its my first mod.
