Hi there,
Let me explain the title of this thread. Well... it DID get dumb (as in "unintelligent", not some random insult) ;)
I've already described part of the problem here:
http://forum.turboduck.net/showpost.php?p=362423&postcount=6
so I'm not going to write again that the same copy was working fine on my old laptop etc.
Here's just a summary of the present facts:
The current machine contains:
i7 870 2,93 GHz
Asus P7P55D Evo
Asus Nvidia GTX 480
2x2GB DDR3 1600MHz
Connected to a 120Hz acer monitor.
The gliches noticed so far:
1. The most annoying - The gear box - as described earlier, I sometimes need up to 5 attempts to do a single up-shift or down-shift, regardles of the key bindings.
2. First traffic problem: 80% of cars wanting to change a lane do it (complete the whole maneuver) in less than a second after the first indicator blink. Its just "*blink*, swirl, DONE"
3. Second traffic problem: cars going in the opposite direction. I can see a car going for a head on collision with me or other traffic users at least once every 10 minutes. That's something I've never seen in TDU on my laptop.
4. Third traffic problem: cars just stopping instantly in one place for no reason. That's almost as common as the FTP (First traffic problem, I wonder if it'll catch on :P )
5. Invisible cops - so far I've stumbled upon them only 4 or 5 times during some missions, but it's never a nice surprise.
The game acts like this regardless of the screen resolution, detail levels, refresh rate (60 or 120 Hz), controller key mappings or the graphics card driver. Has anyone got any idea what's happening?
Cheers!
