  1. Yesterday I bought a (downloadable) copy of TDU and the Megapack from Gamesplanet and could install it without a problem including entering the codes that I received by email. I made an offline profile (for the moment) and could do the introductions, including the first race. A second race could also be done correctly. The game can be started without a dvd btw, so I assume that some kind of NoDVD patch is incorporated. Today I wanted to continue with a mission (vehicle transport), but halfway the mission I got a freeze. I could do nothing but quitting with Task Manager. I restarted after that, did a little driving and went to the same mission, but again a freeze after a few minutes. Ctrl+Alt+Del and restarting again and tried a race. Again freezing after a few minutes. This really drives me crazy. I thought this would be a perfect game for me, but this way it is only frustration. What could be the cause of this problem and is there a way to solve it ? FWIW, my pc has an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and a MSI GTX460 Cyclone OC (1024MB) videocard, so that must be sufficient imo. The videocard doesn't get hotter than around 65*C I also tried running with the NoDVD patch (backing up the original exe), but the I get a "lost connection" error after a while. Any help is much appreciated, because I would very much like to play this game. Thanks in advance.
  2. As I wrote already in the Introduce Yourself subforum I am completely new to TDU and rather new to gaming in general, so probably my question is a bit dumb. Here is what I have done so far: I started by making an offline profile and did some playing but not much so loosing my progress is not a big deal. I also made an account at Gamespy meanwhile. Unfortunately the nickname of my offline profile was already in use, so I had to make a new one. I could use that name to get online and saw that TDU servers were available. I also noticed that I had to start a new name (of course), what I haven't done yet, but wouldn't be a big problem btw.. But now my question, because I don't always want to play online. Can I use only one profile (the one connected to Gamespy for online) and ALSO play offline with that ? If so how do I do that ? I ask, because when I start the game and choose that profiile I am automatically connected to the servers. Or do I have to have 2 profiles for that, one for online and one for offline ?
  3. My name is Ton and I live near Rotterdam in Holland. I am rather new to rally and race games and completely new to TDU. A few years ago I did some playing but stopped after about a 1/2 year. A few weeks ago however I started again and began with Dirt 2. Then, today I decided to buy TDU as a combo pack, together with the Megapack, via gamesplanet as a download. Although I only played about 1 hour I already like it very much. As I wrote in the title I also have a question: How can I tell if the Megapack has been installed correctly ? I first installed TDU, then the 1.66 patch and all went fine. When starting the game I saw 1.66 on the bottom of the screen. However when I installed the Megapack, Windows told me that maybe it wasn't installed correctly. I cancelled that message and when I tried to install again, the installer said that my game was already updated. Can I be assured that it is installed correctly and/or is there a way to check that ?
