  1. I was considering getting this as it looks a lot like the Destruction Derby games of old that I absolutely loved. But after reading reviews, it doesn't sound all that great, especially in how limited tracks are, as well as soundtracks and AI ability. I think Ill be purchasing DiRT instead :D
  2. I quite enjoyed it, but agree, the physics of the cars are rubbish, they just will not drift like a rally car would (never driven a rally car, but watched it enough on tv!!). I enjoyed the buggy racing, that was quite fun just because theres no other games that really cater for it. Would love to have a go in the massive Dakar racing lorry things. The graphics are also real good, probably the most impressive thing for me. I agree with other people, its fun, but I certainly wouldn't buy it at full retail when it comes out. May give it a rent though.
  3. Dear me. If you see the red and yellow car, you haven't downloaded the free car corresponding to one of the DLC packs, and the person you see driving that red and yellow default car is driving a car from one of those packs. I.e. Pack #2 comes with 1x free car + 5 (?) premium cars. If you have not downloaded that free car, and you come into contact with someone who is driving one of the premium cars, you will see their car as the red and yellow default car. Understand?
  4. Ofcourse you can set yourself the price you sell your car at. You choose to sell a car, then it says "put up for sale" and something else, click put up for sale, then a price comes up with arrows. You change the price here. As for high mileage cars, particularly within the forum spirit its nice to keep cars within the forum that have had a lot of miles put on the clock. Anyone can buy a new car, wheres the fun and originality in that? And high mileage cars in the game, are like classic cars in real life. They have a rarity factor to them, thats why people will pay more. With the ease at which you can get money in the game, I dont think some of the prices people ask for higher mileage cars at that ludicrous. I do agree though that anyone who buys a car from trade that has 0 miles for anything more than the dealer price is an absolute fool, and it annoys me to see loads of cars that have just been bought and then listed for the same or a slightly inflated price. I'd far rather see trade full of high mileage cars, or tuned cars ready to drive (not a lot of effort to tune a car, but you know..). Its just full of crap these days.
  5. Balders was killing my Murcie in his TVR earlier, I was well not impressed. Didn't make as nicer noise though :D
  6. I actually really like this car pack. All the cars just feel "right" in Hardcore Mode, although thats probably by luck if the pack has infact been rushed. I dont see what all the moaning about the Ferrari CS is all about. Its not like the engine sounds of the rest of the cars are entirely accurate, and I dont think the interior is that bad. I dont know what the real interior is like, but it floats my boat so to speak. I really love the Ferrari CS and Murcielago Roadster.
  7. Am I the only person that got bored/annoyed at the shifting controls (why can it not just be the same, or customizable, to that of TDU?!), and just started crashing my expensive car into that of my competitors, and then deleted the demo within an hour of downloading it? Not overly impressed to be honest, graphics only look a bit more refined than those of the original. Sound of the cars was good though, the best bit for me.
  8. GRRRRRRRRRR. I spotted the demo too late. Its not going to finish downloading before college. Damn you art exams.
  9. Im on most evenings sort of 5-7ish, then I go ride bikes for a bit (in the real world), then back to TDU about 9-10ish for a few hours depending when I need to be up next morning.
  10. First off, Hardcore Mode is completely worth 160 points. Secondly, you wont be seeing any sort of game modes like that in this game, just because this game isn't like that. Unless they added a multiplayer race with no specific route. Wouldn't be massive prizes or anything though. All I want from TDU is basically Forza with the free roam of TDU. Customization of cars, externally and tuning to the engine, full roaming capability of a place the size of Oahu, and basically Hardcore Mode physics as standard, and that would be a good game.
  11. If you chose some nice linking corners mark, that would be awesome. Would make great videos, and would show who can drift well and link corners together well. Im just trying to make the competition for the drivers and the videos for the public judges a little more interesting, thats all :D
  12. Nah, trust me. The track is mega wide, and the corners are crap, with sharp bends into open ones, and open bends into sharp ones, its tedious and boring to drive. Plus, if you get speed up, you just grab the hand-brake and sideways your car goes. If you are in the right gear, a little feather of the throttle and anyone can get round it. Something like tantalus, any of those corners, ANY, would be better than the track. The roads are tighter, theres traffic, varying gradients. That takes skill to drift. Just dont think using the track would show much drift skill at all. Plus using anywhere else would result in a nice little crash/spinout section at the end when things go wrong :)
  13. I paid however many 100s of thousands for a Koenigsegg, and didnt get the car. I was annoyed, but it happens.
  14. Having just had a go round the track at drifting, it is THE most boring thing in the world. The videos of all competitiors will be virtually identical. Please reconsider the location.
  15. Put my name down. Ill have a blast.
  16. The north ferrari dealer has the most best thing to drift around. Usually quite a lot of traffic to have to avoid too. Aha.
  17. I want another mafia cruise soon :( P.S. This is not spam ;)
  18. Re: TDU Central Mafia - Latest 12/04 :: 04/12 I will be. Ill add you up nige.
  19. Yer man, its XBOX Live. If it was some serious real world issues, I could, as well as Im sure everyone else would, understand. But its people who are however old acting like children on the internet. You need never meet these people face to face, their only connection with you is either through a forum or through a friends list, and you can cut off all communication with them quickly if it bothers you that much. Sitting offline forever, especially if you've paid your subscription for Live, is going to solve nothing.
  20. Why is this Nipper? I look around ForzaCentral, but havent noticed any of this going on...
  21. Im up for that. Even though you can earn money real real quickly, I bought a Aston Martin V8 within an hour of starting a new game, could have bought something faster but that car had just been on Top Gear, so I fancied buying it :P
  22. If Enfuze doesnt take it, its yours boyo. p.s. have you added my new ID on live? not been on to check.
  23. As it stands, Enfuze seems interested in all of the cars, so sit tight. And that quote is hardly a suitable bargaining tool.
  24. Hey guys. Ive put all of my cars on trade from my old account. All of them, except my high-mileage ones and prototype ones are on there at silly reduced prices. Ive sold 20 or so in 10 minutes, but theres still plenty to grab. Just letting you all know! There could be anywhere from £10k off the showroom price to £200k off. A lot of them are tuned too. Too many to name, just go have a look and see if there is anything you are after at a good price. Edit: Enfuze was interested in some high mileage cars, so Ive removed them from auction, but he still has first dibs on all. Thought I would share these loves of mine to allow them to continue on within the TDU:C community. Enzo Ferrari - 1517 miles - My baby. Yellow in colour, stage 3, a beaut. Ferrari 575 - 426 miles - My first cruising love. Must go to a new home, fancy a fresh start with a fresh account. Ferrari 430 - 592 miles - Im the second owner, had since 330 miles, bought from, ironically, 430 (FA430RGT) of this very forum. Needs a new home that will continue the loving heritage of this car. Stage 3 tuned, blue in colour. Murcielago - 513 miles - My long distance racer. Lovely car for long distances, not so much fun for the city cruises, but great to drive and listen to long distance. Make me offers on all. Bear in mind will be atleast marginally more than showroom + tuner costs due to the heritage you are buying into.
