I know you have your choices but why not go for a used 400D or 450D or even a 40D?

I don't know what the prices are over there but I am sure you could possibly get a used one for a bit cheaper and get a better lens instead of the 18-55. Just my opinion though. You could also get a used 40D, like the one I have, for maybe the same price as the 500D or 550D instead of going all the way for a 50D as the 40D is not much different from the 50D. Sure it's a little different in terms of a few features and the MP but if you aren't bothered about that then it's a good option. Up to you though, I always think glass before body. So basically as I already have a 40D, I will not be upgrading anytime soon on the body but will instead upgrade the lens. Hope this was of some help for you. ;)

P.S - Oh and I agree with what Mark said about the 40D, it's probably better than both the 500D or 550D apart from the video recording thing, it's a great all round camera and many people still buy them over the 50D.

Now is pretty much the best time to subscribe to iRacing. Lots of free content comming out, and some awesome stuff just released like the MX-5 and the Willams FW31 F1 car. Okayama will be coming as a free track, and the legendary Spa will be released in the next month of so according to the forum.

Nice shots there TDU, that dragster must have been incredibly loud! Don't use fake depth of field though, it looks ruins the image imo.

Could "G100" be onboard graphics? That's all I can think of if it doesn't say the card... :confused:

Does anybody else use DX11 on F1 2010? Doesn't really look that much different. I guess DX11 is just another gimmick but sounds cool when you say you are running it! Just a random querie. :p

Fake DoF isn't bad, but don't blur it to much. And if it's a distance, not everything can be blurred on the same level, as there is depth in the picture, get what i mean? :p

Well I don't use the blur tool to do the DoF, I have another method and you can see most often the levels of blur, not just the same amount everywhere. However I do agree with some of the shots that there is too much. I will take that into consideration for my next batch. Cheers. ;)

Some nice shots there especially the static Corvette 57 ones. Try not to have tire marks in your shots as it spoils them imo and I have noticed in some of your previous shots you have got radial blur in the background of some of your static shots and I know it seperates the car from the background but it doesn't work well really.

Yeah. I guess it only works with some shots. Out of interest, which one's do you think it doesn't work well with?

I reckon it suits shots 3, 5 and 7.

I agree with 2 and 6 having a bit too much DoF.
