Hi sorry you missed us, it's easier to find people when they are added as friends. I managed to link up with MadMax last night so If you want to meet at a place tonight to add me as a friend I'll wait there for you. If you go to the place and I don't appear to be there just drive out of the area and come back. Hopefully you will connect to the session I am in. Another way is to first make sure I show up on the map and click on me and you should jump to me. If not just keep doing this until you connect to the session I'm in. If I don't show up on the map just keep zooming in and out to the place until you can see me. I'm sure there is a bug somewhere because finding people shouldn't be this hard. So if you want to meet tonight let me know where and the time and I'll wait there for you. BTW do you want me to add you to the list for the next cruise?

Ok your now added. The cruise was at a slower pace but you could use any car or bike. Unfortunately some of those cars and bikes just showed up at the lighthouse it was crazy up there and I just managed to get those pics well I could. There were cars lagging all over the place, it's amazing how calm it looked in the pics.

If we can get 7 more people then I will look at locking the session. Then you don't get people trying to ram you off the road. Sorry to hear you had problems MadMax. Trying to get in the same session can be a real pain sometimes. I found the best way is to keep going in and out of the area until the name you want shows up. It's a lot easier if the person is stopped that is why I always stay in one place just before 8 and then wait 10mins. It would be better if there was the option to use a lobby type system to find the session your friends are in, then the game take you right to them. We did do a cruise in the end and will have some pics here later.

Ok the route is set. It's about a 2hr drive through the mountains then end up at the lighthouse. It's about 20 miles to the mountains from the start (Italian Independents Car Dealer). Then the challenge can begin with the most demanding roads on the island. Have fun and hope to see you at the start @8 UK time.

Yes I agree 100% I've always wanted sim racing to be more popular and you can only do this by helping new people get into it. They do only stick with the hardcore stuff and push noobs away like you said. I also hate the way you have to download it each month, so your way is the best way for sure. The biggest challenge is to get new people into it. I really like the way simbin are promoting sim racing and I think they are slowly bringing it back from the dead.

This is very good and sim racing is just my thing. Nice way to display the mag very good idea. There is a download mag that is out ever month www.autosimsport.net they have news, reviews and interviews. Have you seen this before? You my find it useful.

That was scary I had a big power cut, then went to play TDU after and the server was not available. I thought the game had broke as I was in the middle of a race. Glad the server down was just not for me, maybe they had power problems too.

You can use slow cars that's not a problem, we can cruise at any pace you like. Yesterday I started using manual gears and it is easier to hold a constant speed.

Good idea :) What is the best way to take pics. If you go into photo mode will the sesson end like when you enter the map etc.? How did you do the ones you did?

No this is not possible maybe in TDU 2 now LIVE is coming to the PC soon ;)

You can use any car or bike for the cruises. We could do some themed cruises in the future e.g. classic cars only, mafia or class A only etc. Sorry MadMax I don't have a headset or microphone at this time. I will be looking to get one in the future. We just type and drive or stop on the side of the road. We don't normally do races but as it was just me and timo at the end we just had a fun race to end the day. I will be at the Italian Independents Car Dealer again tonight @8 if anyone wants to cruise again. Oh yes and as someone found out yesterday if you don't stay with the group you will leave the session. We stop if you get left behind but if you run on ahead too far there is nothing we can do. As I said before we will look at locking the session in the future then you can go as fast as you want.:D

Sorry to hear you had a connection problem, we waited for you for a bit but it looked like you had a major problem. I hope they fix this in a patch if we ever get one.

Yes as of next week (and tonight) I will be at the the Italian Independents Car Dealer .... F-10 if you look at the map Tue-Sun @8PM UK time. I will try and do this every week, so if you or anyone else want to meet up at any of these days I should be there. I will post in this forum ASAP any night I will not be there. I will wait for 10mins for anyone to show up then we will drive. You can turn up in any car or bike because we wait for people going off the radar/sat nav. It is important to stay with the group if you want to stay in the session. So please keep an eye on your sat/nav. (in the future we will look at locking the session if will fill all 8 slots) Have fun and see you on the island :)

I think the idea is for a select group of gamers to help out with the development of the game. I'm not sure if it's beta testing or you get to say how you want the game to turn out. The project from what I understand is to make the best MMO game ever, now to be a racing game.

Maybe but as gamers are making it hopefully it will not be as bad.
