Activision made Blur, its new racing game by Bizarre Creations (the developers of the Project Gotham Racing series), official when it announced on Tuesday that the game will arrive on store shelves for the XBox 360, PS3 and PCs this fall. Hot on the heels of being deemed officially official, the game has now gotten its first trailer, which can be viewed after the jump.

We've been jonesing for another good racing game ever since Gran Turismo 5 Prologue dropped and we wore out our GRID discs. Blur appears to be something quite unexpected – not a racing sim, but rather a racing game that looks like PGR with the ability to harness Jedi powers and knock other cars off the road with lightning bolts. Hey, we're just going by the trailer here. It's even been described by some as Forza meets Mario Kart, so we're definitely eager for our blogging buddies from Joystiq to attend E3 and bring back more details, but until then, follow the jump to watch the trailer or check out some high-res screen shots in the gallery below.

  2. They are releasing this on disc with the L&D so might just get that as its roughly the same price as buying them seperate.

    Official info from R* email:

Rockstar Games is proud to announce the fall release of both the second episode of Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony - exclusively for download on Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network, and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, which will include both episode one The Lost and Damned, and episode two The Ballad of Gay Tony together on a single disc exclusively for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Grand Theft Auto IV's second downloadable episode, The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City delivers two games on one disc - the all-new episode The Ballad of Gay Tony and the first episode, The Lost and Damned - together on disc for the first time - for Xbox 360 for $39.99 and will not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.

The Ballad of Gay Tony will release on Xbox LIVE this fall for $19.99 or 1600 MS points and requires players to have Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE membership to download.

Much more information and media to come.

  3. As said many times how can a xbox360 game have 3 disc's?? As soon as you open the disk tray it goes to the dashboard, unlike the PS2 where FF VII you could swap disks.

The only way round it would be to install it on to your HDD. So as the average game is 6.0 GB and Forza 3 is on 3 disks you would need 18GB of HDD space, all good for new premium and elite users but for older premium users you couldn't do it as you don't even have that much to start with after all the system files and formatting.

  4. Heres a few screens of what I've been skinning lately:

  5. Welcome to this little Greasy Spoon in the Truck park opposite TDUc Towers. On top of the usual rules there are a few more additional ones in this section to keep us in the good books of the ETS community and prevent us from being blacklisted.

    1. If you post /screens/video's with mods in them please credit all mods, i.e. Trailer by Nodz, Skin by me.
    2. No Hacked or Stolen content, if any is posted it will be deleted and warnings/infractions given. If it hasn't got a readme it is probably hacked or stolen so don't post it here.
    3. No direct linking to downloads on filesharing sites like filefront, reapidshare etc. Only link to mods where the author has allowed them to be hosted, i.e. Truckpol, eurotrucksimulator.org, etc etc. The readme should tell you where they are allowed to be hosted.
    4. No linking to sites that host hacked or stolen content, links will be removed

Remember all other Forum Rules apply, these are just additional.

Now remember not to go over your hours, spill any diesel whilst refuelling, or fall asleep at the wheel.

  6. Also if posting images or saying what mods you are using please credit, all credits can be found in the Readme files. If your mod does not have a read me it is probably hacked so don't show it here.

Cool, if demand is high enough we can look into a sub board for ets. After all we're more than just a tdu community now.

    Cool.

And here is the new traffic mod by Mefistofel.

  7. Maybe you can mention to a few of the modders about letting us have some links Nodz, i know your really into ETS and i've seen your skin on the truckpol site. Looks good!

That skin is an old old one its change alot since then I'll get pics up soon.

As for the permissions I know a few of them are actually on the board. newS is here and he made the container skins mod for TDU. Chudy (a.k.a. Mr.Poland) is here aswell and is making the DAF XF 105 SSC aswell as another impressive schmitz trailer.

Need to PM some of the ETS communities boards and see if we can get a copy of the blacklist for staff use as we do not want hacked or stolen content here.

  8. Good man I like your thinking, I've got loads of screens to show of mods and my skins :D

Remember do not post direct download links to any mods (i.e. filefront, rapidshare, etc) unless you have the authors permissions as the ETS community is very hot on that kind of stuff. Please only say where you got it from, i.e. truckpol, eurotrcksimulator.org etc, and do not post to sites that host hacked content.

There is a good mod which adds ferrari's, replaces the transit with a merc sprinter etc etc cant remember where I saw it now, will have a look

  9. Diablo isn't Namco where Tenebra went??

    http://www.e3expo.com/content/1146/exhibitor-list/

If you look at the list for the trade exhibitors you will also see that Codemasters is not listed???????

They have Dirt 2 coming out as well as other stuff so why not listed?

They also have Fuel out at the end of this month and theres been no word of demo's and hardly any new screens or video's
