  2. WOOHOO!! yay i picked up my new PC today. spent most the afternoon gettin used to Vista. Bit pissed off the PC store guy installed the 32 bit Vista instead of the 64 bit version.

  5. Now there are errors when i try to view the page. Probably just easier to write the specs.
  6. 3.0ghz 6mb L2 Cache. I wouldn't mind getting a little more performance out of it after i get settled into my new PC but i've never overclocked before. Plus i can't afford anymore upgrades at the moment so it's gotta be done on stock cooling.
  7. hmm while your on the topic of overclocking, does anyone know what is a decent overclock i could pull off on my new Core 2 duo E8400 (stock cooling) when i get it. I've never overclocked before but am considering it.
  8. aww why isn't my core 2 duo in that list :(
  9. 6 gigs RAM is way to much overkill. atleast 2 gigs of it will never get utilized.
  10. Oh...............Lovely >_> thanks anyway.
  11. Can someone help me? I have a D-link DSL-502T Modem-router which i can't save my settings like forwarded ports etc to properly. I can save the settings & it will do it's whole reboot thingy just fine & the changed settings will be there. But say for example if i turn my PC off at night and turn it back on in the morning the Router has reset back to it's old settings. I even tried putting it on a DMZ & saving that but it reset next time i turned on the PC. It's getting annoying having to re-forward ports or put myself back on a DMZ everyday i wanna play a game or something. As far as i can tell my router is on the latest firmware.
  12. On Aussie & new Zealand servers it's absolutely fine & i get pings ranging from 30 to 70. On US servers i have pings 300 & up.
  13. Sad thing is anytime you do complain the sales reps are all like "well our broadband is over 100x faster then dial up and should be good for all your needs"
  14. i haven't clicked the link yet but im assuming it's the 2 old BMW's full of Russian teens? *EDIT* Hmm guess i was wrong. This was the video i thought it was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhIsgxMs4iQ
  15. You think thats bad. if i go over my download limit for the month then i get limited to 12kb's down & 8kb's up :(. luckily my limit is 12 gigs and i rarely go over it.
  16. My mum pays $59 (AUS) a month for a phone & Internet combo. The speed is a blistering fast 512kb Downstream 128kb Upstream (in other words i download at 50kb's & upload at 12kb's) :(
  17. yes :) this was the one that sent me the copy of Vista Ultimate.
  18. Australia has always been in the stone age when it comes to Internet. The government won't approve the new broadband plan because they are afraid the kiddies will access porn even faster. Anyway you think Hong kong is bad my friend in florida has dirt cheap super fast fiber optic internet with no download limits.
  19. That was kinda lame. If you ask me they tried to hard & failed.
