  1. Here is a short guide for inducing a drift clicky. Also practice in an easy car to drift in TDU like the F430, XJ220 (in my opinion) or some G class cars. TDU has a nasty drift/grip level and you need quick reactions if whilst drifting, the car suddenly grips again otherwise you will crash rather quickly. Once you get used to the drift/grip levels this shouldn't be a problem but it can put people off of drifting in TDU. I normally use three techniques to drift (which I think are the most important to learn), the handbrake, clutch kick and feint techniques, then it's just a matter of countersteering and throttle modulation. Drifting in TDU is only really possible in hardcore mode because it's more simulation, you just have to beware of hill and bumps. I will understand if you are confused by most of the above, it's quite late for me and what I have typed may not necessarily make any sense . I'm sure someone else will come along and sum it up in a few words ;). Kelvjy

  3. Indeed Nippers Indeed. I wouldn't mind the other one though without a spoiler. I quite like the sleepy eye look, well on the right car like a FC or S13 .
  4. Well I got my new G25 so thought I might aswell use it :cheeky:, also testing two new things in LFS. See if you can spot them, shouldn't take you too long ;). http://i634.photobucket.com/albums/uu63/Kelvjy/LFSSleepy-1.jpg http://i634.photobucket.com/albums/uu63/Kelvjy/LFSAE86-1.jpg -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --

  10. Awesome pics you got mate :) Love the CLK-DTM outside the Benz dealer, and the Z28 looks brutal , love it.

  12. Very nice pics you have mate :) Love the RUF pics in post 10, the Skyline and Murcie pics in post 13 and the last shot in post 18 is just .

  14. I've tried that :D was fun for one lap but racing without a proper mount for the wheel got rather tedious :cheeky:. GT5 + Nurburging will definetely getting some abuse from my G25 . I think GT4's Nurburgring is the most accurate to date in a video game and Enthusia's is awesome also .
  15. I forgot to mention, that given the choice between LFS or GTR I would pick LFS. The only reason why I like GTR is because GTRE had the Nordschleife where as LFS offers me more enjoyment :).
  16. Awesome pics again  Love the 1st and 5th Murcie shot . EyeKatcher, I think it might be Gaussian blur but i'm not sure
  17. I would say LFS is pretty realistic :) and I play it all the time and find it rather enjoyable, and you have to remember that it's an online racing simulator so all the action is online, so obviously this means the AI is not really up to spec with rFactor or the GTR games. There is not really any mods available for it and any discussions of tweaking or changing body parts on cars is illegal on the official forum, but you can mod textures and skins rather easily and you make your own layouts to race/drift on. You have to remember as well that this game is constantly being updated and is slowly but surely getting more recognition with real world manufacturers, should be getting the new VW Scirocco soon ;), and most of the cars are based on real world cars. Here are some links you may find helpful to provide you with what you get in lfs (if you have not already seen them before). More about the simulator The cars and tracks My opinion would be to get it and if you have a wheel it's even more fun. Sorry for the long boring read, I normally just say "it's awesome" or "it's crap" so my post may look strange as I don't do this often ;).
  18. Thanks Koenig ;) Now I have something other than photos from LFS for you, I have a video *dun dun dun*. Yes I have done a video to show me mouse drifting . It's not a long video it's just one lap of the Ebisu West layout from a roofcam. This video will probaly be taken down after a while ;). No cones were harmed in the making of this video.......oh wait maybe one ;), and I should also mention i've not used the mouse to drift for 5 years so don't expect awesome drifting.
  19. My ingame is Kelvjy and I just randomly pick any drift server :) Edit: More random photos that I said I would put up :). -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  20. Practice, practice and more practice is all I can say Knuckles. The more you do it the more you improve ;), I mean look at my drifting, actually don't it's pretty poor compared to others. Once i'm back playing LFS I we can go do some drifting and I can give you some basic knowledge of drifting in LFS, it won't be the best but it should get you started.
  21. You can only get better :D I had trouble with going from 3rd to 2nd quickly when I first started drifting but you soon get the hang of it :). I will have to join some of you for a drift/race session one of these days :). Done a few laps in the race cars earlier. seeing what using a mouse is like with them and it's crazy . All 4 wheels off the ground in the first shot but the blur makes it look like it's not  -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- I have a few more but i've not edited them yet, so you can expect a few more later on if everyone can handle being bored by them.
  22. I use the XRT or FZ50 (mainly the XRT though) and you can get drift setups from the main forum www.lfsforum.net, I use a downloaded setup with a few of my own tweaks done to it :). You can also just lower the car, stiffen the suspension and change the differential to locked and go from there but beware of understeer ;).
  23. Thought I would spam some more images :cheeky:. This is for the Ferrari fans. Also a little tip, don't set your brake bias to the rear to much otherwise you get oversteer going into bends :D. Also some tips for doing nice motion blur would be nice as i'm crap at it  Comments and criticism welcome -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  24. Le Mans is legendary  Nice video :). I've not got any proper motorsport videos for you, but as you can probaly tell i'm a big fan of drifting and my favorite drift team in the UK is Driftworks:thumbsup:. Now Bonbon has his new R32 Skyline and it's mental :D, I loved his old chaser but the new R32 is stunning :). Don't think you can embed vimeo videos so link only  Bonbon's R32 Skyline with smashing power :) This is what his old chaser was like (insane sound so mind your ears)
