  1. Tried it, loved it. Unfortunately don't have as much time to waste on it as I'd like. Although it's short for a wow factor its predecessor had, still pretty much a decent sequent.

I'm waiting for some Ati miracle performance patch so I could put some serious effort in this game.

question: is it possible to have multiply game profiles with the same EA ID? Can't find it.

  2. I wouldn't know about GT5 handling since I'm not a PS3 owner but there are lots of other racing games which have physics models I'd love to see in TDU series. LFS or iRacing are maybe a bit too extreme for this kind of game, but anything in the range between the SimBin games (GTR2, GTLegends, RaceOn) and Shift would do. This range could be achieved through a driving aids system and that would be a dream game for me.

  3. I don't wanna offend anyone, but frankly almost all of the entries are pretty disappointing except Ryzza's and maybe Obi's (the one with a big '2' on the thumbnail). If I'm not mistaking (9 minutes is just too long for the trailer) S71NG3R just put several trailers together without any editing.

Too bad Ryzza didn't have any decent competition here. Truly the best, but favorites don't win always...;)

  4. I'm not watching any of those vids as I want to explore the environment mesel.

Weren't u in beta? There's nothing much more to see here, except some cars we already knew they were in and maybe some wrecks positions (we saw 4/10 rusty Beetles by now) but I'm not too keen in looking for them anyway, I want it, and a 2CV, two best cars in the game ASAP...;)

  5. So now people are complaining because the cars are too realistic, I'm really at a loss for words.

It's not realistic at all. As a matter of fact, it seams completely fake in game. U can't implement just the correct performance numbers and expect it would be enough. They didn't manage to catch the essential Atom's madness. Here it seems boring and totally out of touch.

From what I saw so far, TDU2 hardly can compete with its predecessor in simulation of the thrill of driving supercars. Lots of things are missing. Like having a start button. The first contact with a car is missing. Stupid decision. Did they throw this out because of additional command they needed for turning signals, which are, btw very lame implemented?

Hopefully they will provide a proper after market support with many dlcs, patches and improvements, because in this state, I can see this game only as the fair base which have to be much improved in order to become a proper modern driving game.

  6. ;388433']EA is the reason TDU doesn't have those makes. In fact, they pay several million to insure we don't have them.

A reason to hate them? No, it's just a simple market rule. The one with a money makes rules. They still have more Ferraris, Bugattis, Gumpert Apollo and all those cars that Atari and Eden are proud of.

I'll just simply enjoy both games, each for what it's best at.

  7. On the topic of alpina, it's a bit strange that no-one has considered using them in place of BMWs, given that, as t. said, they use blank a chassis and build it up from there, and hence surely they'd also be licensable as a separate entity

Don't u think the fact Alpinas wear the same BMW badge says pretty much everything? It's like ur trying to buy AMG licence instead of Mercedes'.

  8. is it possible that final version of this game has better graphics than in beta?

because what im seeing is that textures are much more detailed in here. I was playing beta maxed out @ 2048x1536 and i could only dream about graphics like that ...

and these are great videos, best ive seen so far! :)

Could be. I've also noticed that, not sure if it's because he's playin' the PS3 version, but it shouldn't be the reason. It's not the only thing that differs from the beta. Handling is way better too. One can clearly see that all the problems he got with it is due to lack of proper wheel setup.

  9. The more I watch VVV's videos, the less problem I have with the driving model. I'm happy to see G25 has better response than Fanatec...;)

Regarding our expectations, no1 sane really expected TDU2 to be a simulation. Wanted yes, but not seriously expected. What we didn't expect is even more arcade physics than before and worse wheel support.

New model does look quite simplified and dull comparing to the old one, but from what I see from the videos, I could get used to it after a while. Hopefully.
