[headline]Contribute to the Site[/headline]
We've done this twice now, and it works for a short while but then it fizzles out and as this will be the third time we're hoping it will be third time lucky! :p
First of all we are looking for volunteers who would like to contribute to writing for the main site. This isn't a paid gig, but as has happened in the past it could open up some opportunities in helping you with your chosen subject. It also provides experience to those of you who may like to venture into this area more or are actively pursuing going into it. Yes it's the whole work for nothing that is rife these days but as a hobbyist site it's all we can offer unfortunately.
We're not looking for you to write stuff akin to the big names, that would be stupid and unfair. All we're looking for is a few people who are actively interested in certain games and subjects who would want to write about the news, teases and rumours that come out for them. There is also the cars and motorsport angle too that we would like to see someone take on-board. Again it's not an autoblog.com type scenario we're looking for these persons to do, just simple posts about those instances that are interesting, funny or well... newsworthy.
Maybe you'd like to talk about the latest episode of Top Gear or The Grand Tour or any snippets that has come to light about it or what that trio have been up to. Basically anything within the general subject matter of what we like to talk about on the board is good in our opinion.
Secondly we would LOVE to get some proof-editors with us. This is for myself personally as I do enjoy writing but man do I stink at it. I can string a sentence together and make some quips, however I have a real tendency to use the same words and style and it annoys me something terrible. So being able to get 1 or 2 good with their words and grammar folk would be a real bonus if possible. :D
That's not to say I would ease off in not trying to write better and just hope it be rewritten entirely by these proof-editors. Nope not at all, it's more to learn from them and thus improve in my own failings (hopefully!), and I am sure others may be the same.
So if you would like to put your hat in for this then let us know in this thread and we can see about getting you as a writing or editing :duck:. WordPress or other CMS (Joomla/blogspot/Drupal/etc) experience would be a bonus but not essential as we have a pretty comprehensive guide and as I've found personally, trial and error is the best way to learn anyway. :cheeky:
Thanks.
