Project CARS: Coming This December

Small French Things On Three Wheels!

Back in December 2013, World Of Mass Development (WMD) announced that an agreement had been forged with Renault to bring a number of models to the game. With such a great history in motorsport, it was an exciting thought to have these iconic cars in Project CARS. However, since launch players have only had the joy of racing the often three-wheeling hot hatches Clio RS Cup and Megane RS, until now. Coming to Project CARS this month is the Renault Sport Car Pack!

While Slightly Mad Studios tease the new car pack on their Instagram account, the real leak came from Renault Sport themselves, who shared information about the new car pack on their website.

Project CARS continues its programme of continual updates and delivery of fresh new content with the release of the Renault Sport Car Pack with Renault Sport R.S.01, Formula Renault 3.5, Mégane R.S. 275 Trophy-R and Mégane Trophy V6. Renault Sport Car Pack will be available on 22th December.

However, speculation remains. Back in 2013, WMD listed six cars, these included 2014 Mégane RS, 2013 Clio IV RS Cup, 2013 Alpine A450, 1999 Laguna BTCC, 2009 Mégane Trophy II, and 1978 Alpine A442B. Could this mean there are more cars to come, being kept behind closed doors? There has been no mention of the Alpine models or the legendary Laguna, however with 6 cars expected to be in the new car pack, you have to wonder what the Christmas surprise could be. Looking at the Project CARS Instagram, they've also been teasing the Radical RXC Turbo, a possible free car for this month's pack, perhaps?

Only time will tell. As Renault Sport kindly pointed out, like an early Christmas present, the Renault Sport Car Pack is due for release on December 22nd. Presumably. We'll let you know.
