Coming This October To Theaters Near You!
Edit 28/10/15: Out Now!
Slightly Mad Studios announced last month a number of upcoming DLC expansions are to be released before the end of the year as part of their 'On Demand' program, ensuring continued development and new content for Project CARS. SMS are planning to regularly release new content, having already released a track expansion, a car pack coming this month and another "huge" track expansion coming next month, we can't wait to see what pCARS will get next!
SMS has been using Instagram to tease us with the exciting additions to come in the fan-requested car pack, showing off an entire new manufacturer coming to Project CARS. In a post earlier this week, SMS revealed a stunning Toyota GT86 with the caption, "New cars. New brands. The work on Project CARS never stops." Not only can we look forward to the GT86, but also the Toyota's twin sister, the Scion FR-S, which appears to be coming to pCARS alongside the Toyota. There is a possibility of the infamous Rocket Bunny version of the FR-S/86 as part of the car pack, as was subtly teased in an in-game background.
The GT86/FR-S won't be the only Toyotas coming to pCARS either. The Toyota TS040, the hybrid racer used in the FIA World Endurance Championship, was also teased with the caption, "A @24hoursoflemans prototype". It will be right at home on the Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe battling with the Audi R18 LMP1 already in-game.
If that's not enough already, also coming soon to pCARS are two rally legends and what many would call the two best generations of the Mitsubishi Evolution, the Evo VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition and Evo IX FQ 360. Shown via Instagram with the fitting caption, "The Evolution of Racing".
With three Mitsubishi Evolutions, and at least two Toyotas, we're wondering what the future holds. Can we expect to see the silver stars and blue of Subaru? Will the legendary 22B or the missing 86 sister, the BRZ, come to pCARS in the future?
Update 22/10/15
It appears the "rocket bunny" 86 is confirmed! Multiple versions of the tuned Toyobaru have been shown with in game shots, looking like a real monster of a car. We can't wait, and with more images being teased at an increasing rate we can only assume the car pack will be released s**n. See more in the gallery and .gifs below.
