  1. At this point it's unknown, they will have to stress test the servers but they won't make it open. I'm unsure because no figures have been put out as to how many people have been accepted, or how many they will accept. :sulk:
  2. Leaking gameplay is a breach of the NDA. This means that the spot that the people who are leaking material could be for people who are willing to be more productive than recording them playing. If it was for test purposes, if TDU works well under load sure, but that doesn't mean they need to post it.
  3. But at what cost? Banned from future Atari/Eden Games' beta? I personally don't think it's worth the fame, 5 minutes on Youtube, and then you're forgotten. I will never understand people. -- Speaking of the beta, they finally announced it officially on their website. http://www.testdriveunlimited2.com/closed_beta_launch For teh lulz.
  4. Noooo! Rats, foiled again! :taz: It's because they don't grasp the understanding of a "non-disclosure agreement."
  5. We seem to be on the wrong page. I was referring to this quote: But now I see we're talking about Mb. In that case.. DUH. Those who lack common sense or knowledge, yeah.
  6. Technically he didn't state it, he inferred it. :) -- I find the more people that get accepted into the beta, the more new videos that pop up on youtube.
  7. I'd like to keep my hopes up. But if I do, and nothing happens, I'd become a stubborn school child. But it's better to be optimistic than pessimistic!
  8. All 20+ of the video's I've found are still up with the exception of one. Maybe I have to wait for it to update.
  9. Get me a towel and some buckets of water! STAT!
  10. Lets use some Guantanamo-esque torture and squeeze all of the info out of Diablo.
  11. The beta has started!? I would have never known... Due to the onslaught of videos, they had no other choice than to. Would've been stupid to deny a beta is underway when the Tubes' is being filled with illegal content. The next question I bet is when are more players going to be added to the beta.
  12. What we have to keep in mind is that the game is many months away from release. From now and then, many things may happen. I highly doubt that every setting is tweakable, so maybe later they will include different driving modes with no assists, which could simulate the Hardcore mode from TDU1. I myself chose this game because I was an avid fan of the Midtown Madness franchise. It was great for it's time, it had interior's, traffic, and many of the games mechanics were easily modifiable. As the game aged, and many things became unavailable, the charm of it soon began to wear off. This is why I went searching for a modern game with better graphics, an open world, and a realistic driving simulator. I chose TDU for those reasons. If TDU2 fails to deliver on the realism front, I don't know what I will do. Sadly, if TDU2 fails to impress me by the time Q1 rolls around, it's the only game which allows open world cruising. I've tried it with GT4, it isn't the same... It might be my only choice. Other than waiting till I get my own car, and become able to drive whenever I want on a more daily basis.
  13. Sakranik and daRK/doRK are awaiting the banhammer, am I missing anyone?
  14. We're discussing it right now aren't we? We just don't post that material out of respect for Eden and Atari. As Who said, proving that we can respect the NDA, and not be a hub for leaked material, we can possibly build a relationship in the future where they may give us information before others, or us exclusively, due to our reputation for respect and honour. They never asked us to not discuss it, just read what I said to your first comment.
  15. I only know one because it was blatantly displayed on the screen. lolol.
  16. You may say they stayed true to the fans. But in reality they broke an NDA agreement. -- HIT THE JACKPOT! Found 16 videos including take-downs and re-ups. Now where do I report my whole list? LOL
  17. You guys are crazy hunters, I was only able to find 7 with one of them being taken down by the user.
  18. You are one sharp pencil. I didn't even notice that. I think I was too focused on drooling on my keyboard. :o
  19. If Atari did want to investigate, they'd have to contact Youtube. I think when a video is taken down for copyright reasons, I don't think that their information is given to Atari (or the ensuing party). If they did though, it would be as easy as matching an IP to an IP participating, and banning them from the beta, basically locking their HWID out of the game. I don't know if they have the time to do such as thing. As they're "reworking their strategy."
  20. A slew of new video just popped up on the Tubes. Not surprised...
  21. Hehe, thank you. Checked the usual sources but have yet to come up with anything. :p Those 5 minutes of fame isn't even worth the trouble of breaking an NDA. The guy who uploaded the video on Youtube has since taken it down. I think it was due to the scolding that me and another user put on him. Also, we quickly snapped him back to reality by explaining what an NDA was. Haha, this is the type of people they're accepting into it?
  22. I think Atari fails to realize that those who are worth trusting, hang around in forums like this which extensively cover TDU2 while still releasing content for TDU1, that's the kind of dedication that should be included in the beta, those types of characters. I would rather have you given a list to them, rather than them just basing it on a couple of computer specs. You can have the best and worst computers included, but if those testers only care about having the status of a beta-tester, what's the point? :sulk: Haven't found the pictures yet, but I will be crawling the internet I assure you. ;)
  23. Speaking of the beta. How do we expect Atari to trust us with the privilege of testing a game, when we can't even keep things to ourselves? This is pretty much a give and take relationship, with disregard to the NDA or the community's reputation. I'm very disappointed that yet again someone was as stupid as to release something like that after being given the opportunity to participate in a beta. Participating in a beta is a privilege, a privilege which should be treated with respect to the NDA and respect to the game makers.
