  1. 2010 model has the full bonnet in black. http://www.supercars.net/gallery/119513/2289/902812.jpg
  2. http://squir.com/index.php?str=main&kategoria=11&towar=1119 That's the original model. 327000 polygons. I have had it custom made and reduced, the polygon count on the fully edited model is around 75000: http://squir.com/index.php?str=main&kategoria=11&towar=1163 That second model was built specifically for me so it could be modded for TDU - at a substantial amount of money to myself - I have full permission to release it for free in TDU format, under my name. I'm not a particulaly good 3D modeller (Well, I can model, but not cars), so all I'm gonna really do is tweak some stuff and convert it. If I fail to convert it, fine. I'll pay someone else to do it and let them have the credits. The only reason I'm doing this is because of advances in TDU Modding Tools and TDUPE that no one has taken advantage of, I just needed a model and there were no good free ones out there. I am on an extremely high salary outside of the internet. I do not need money. I will not charge for anything, no matter how much I spend on them.
  3. The model is made in 3DS max, I just need to use zModeller to do the conversion.
  4. 'Nuff Said. Very early WIP. Never used Zmodeller before and am busy with work, so don't expect a quick release.
  5. It's not impossible. Far from it - it's just very difficult. I have a team of several professionals at my disposal - specialising in reverse engineering, decompiling, hardware forensics etc - and they said it would be a ten minute jobs tops (to remove the reference to Bnk1.map, whether that works or not is a whole other story). But since they are professionals they won't do it cause it's technically game cracking. So I can tell you what I know, and that is. It's impossible - for you at least. You can go two ways about it - 1)Editing the exe or 2) Editing Bnk1.map. 1. Editing the .exe Do not think of the exe as packed, but rather compiled. Every software is written in a language - C++, Java, Python or whatever. Once the program is compiled, it is no longer stored as this code, but rather something much more complex, called machine code or an assembly language. Which is pretty much the lowest level of programming there is. You can decompile TestDriveUnlimited.exe into this machine code and edit it, but knowing what it means takes extreme skill. And I don't mean "Oh, I'm good with computers and can make pwetty games, 3D models and edit the registry", I mean absolute hardcore knowledge about the interactions of software and hardware. Still, if you wanna give it a shot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_Code#Example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assembly_language 2. Editing the bnk1.map. Djey's spent two years on it. We still can't add cars. 'Nuff said.
  6. Don't bother. I've tried. It's Diablo_GT.bink and Diablo_GT_I.bnk, but the game won't read those files without modifications to BNK1.map. You can load Diablo GT in TDUPE and check out it's performance, and you can put it in a Dealership, but it just shows up as the default car. And in carData.mdb, under the carlist table, add a new row, in display put "Default Car/Facel Vega/Whatever" and in the reference column, put the vehicled id for default car. I don't have it on this computer, but I'll post it when I get to one that does.
  7. Depends. Do you have Microsoft Office Access or the Open Office equivelant installed?
  8. I have a serious fear of cameras, so much that I didn't own a camera for 10 years. I live by the motto if it's worth remembering, you'll remember it. Nevertheless, I was going through the many hundreds of shots my girlfriend took in the States and came across a whole 3 that had me in it, albeit inadvertently. One is extemely unflattering cause I was drunk and there were strippers and I don't think it's suitable for a forum. The other two are car related though. Both taken mid last year. 1. Me looking rather disgruntled at being left with my bags at Las Vegas Aiport. 2. Me in the New York financial district after popping my Corvette cherry. And yes, I am aware I am wearing the same clothes in both photos, but that shirt is the closest thing I had to a sweater, and it kept me warm. And trust me, it's better you don't see me in a suit. And thank God it took my girlfriend an age to take that second picture or else it would've been a pic of me in maniacal laughter. And for those car people out there, that's my friends Camaro rental parked one down from me.
  9. Load TDUPE. You should get the "Database not found" error. Press OK and TDUPE will still load. Go to "Settings->Installation Directory" and change the text in the box to your installation directory. MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE A TRAILING BACKSLASH. (E.g C:\Program Files\Test Drive Unlimited\) Click outside the box onto the save button. Exit TDUPE. Restart TDUPE.
  10. As someone who has a "lifestyle" which is somewhat iinvolves driving cars....I try to slide them. Whenever me and my friends do a road trip, we go stupid doing "cool moves" to impress each other. We did one trip across the Nullarbor Plain at very high speed in very expensive cars increasingly getting more and more dangerous (at one point two of us were trying to drag race in reverse), just to look awesome. In an expensive lifestyle you'll be more likely doing drifting and cool moves than taking cars up to 200mph on public roads. Personally I'm hoping the game's storyline covers the other side of the high life - the alcohol abuse, the severe depression, that empty void that is constantly in your chest. The lifestyle is a perfect one for a very good, deep and engaging storyline. But then I suppose that'd overshadow the cars.
  11. I'd go with 2.5, should be less unhandled exceptions. Generally if you load thhe editor and somehting goes wrong, the program will still load so you can edit settings. Likewise the other popular error of crashing when saving a car has been handled.
  12. Я не могу, поэтому я не буду. Anyway, 2.5 released.
  13. I don't currently have a copy of it. TDUPE 2.5 New Features: .NET Framework 2.0 compatibility. Application settings such as TDU Directory are now editable in the TDUPE. Bugs Fixed: Importing now works. Some more exception handling should means greater stability: TDUPE will still load when a valid database cannot be found. The program keeps track of all changes to prevent crashes when saving cars. Release: 4 Hours or so.
  14. Hmm, this is a first time for that error. Open TDUPE, then navigate to "F:\Installed Games\TDU\TDUPE\temp\" and check if "output.hex" exists.
  15. Are you hitting "Save Car" beforehand? And for future refence, all I need is this part:
  16. It does indeed just import the data for the car that is currently saved. However I don't have a copy of the source code for 2.0, just 2.5 and 3.0 builds. Both of which have several new, untested features so it won't really be safe. I'll do what I can, but don't hold your breath.
  17. A while off, I haven't really worked on it properly since early January, did a bit the last 2 days cause rain has cut me off from the airport. Got a lot of work to do and well...I get paid massive amounts of money to do my job and TDUPE is just a hobby. If the roads are still cut off tomorrow I should get most of it done, but if not....anywhere up to 6 months or a year. In which case it will be for TDU2.
  18. It's sporadic, it's working half the time here. In 3.0 all is working well - the load and save procedures have been streamlined a bit.
  19. And Cyprus would be better again, but I can't see it happening.
  20. It is not. It's somewhat possible in my current version, but I intend on taking the function out of the final release.
