  1. Nope, you forgot the download link for the Blitz !
  2. I think you forgot something :p
  3. It's a 3.8 liter V6 with a turbo and dual exhausts, look through the various R35 GTR sounds, they sound similar enough.
  4. Nice, the SS look good on the '69 Vette, the Street Lock D Window in black chrome look very "NASCAR-ish" on the Charger Daytona, and the Outlaw-II fits the El Camino 454-SS perfectly. The Halibrand might look good on the '60 Vette but I haven't tried them yet.
  5. Actually there's already something like those done for TDU, they came with the '67 GTO mod, but they're fairly low poly.
  6. Do you have the Magic Map installed? Do you have other mods working?
  7. I'm bumping this back up to avoid making another topic. I edited the first post to remove some cars that have been done, I added some cars not previously in the list, and I left in some cars that have been recently done, but need to be redone (or fixed) for various reasons.
  8. I just found a Forza 3 rim list, so how about some of these..... Cragar SS (chromed) Cragar Street Lock D Window (chromed) American Racing Outlaw-II (chromed) Halibrand Sprint-II (Stainless) Mickey Thompson Classic Look (chromed) Those would round out the musclecar rim selection nicely. Asanti AF 118 (chromed) Modulare M7 (chromed) Gembala Turbo Sport (chromed) Blitz Technospeed Type 03 (chromed + color options + black center w/ neon green or orange rim stripe) Deep Dished variants as well as the standard versions would make things MUCH better, especially for those Blitz rims, they would look awesome on a Porsche GT3-RS. Black centers, plus a green rim stripe would look good on a green car + black stripe.
  9. Like I said, it's on Grin's home site..... TDU-RUSMODS
  10. That's the SHADOW model at 13000 polys??????? What a ginormous waste of filespace. The higher the polycount the bigger the model's filespace, and wasting that filespace is what leads to other things getting cut out, especially when it comes to textures. 90% of that model's detail could be removed and you'd still see the same shadow. You don't need tons of delicate detail around the grill, headlights, hood, windshield, engine details, or even a gas cap just for the shadow model. The only parts that would need any real detail at all are things like mirrors, wings, protruding scoops, things that stick out from the outline of the car. Any details that are set into the surface of the model are simply not needed for a shadow model because they'll never be seen in the shadow because of the angles of the lighting. I guarantee you I could take no less than 10000 polys out of that model and it wouldn't change the shadow at all.

  12. Just curious, what's the polycount for the shadow model??? Because it's my understanding that you don't actually see the model itself ingame, unless you're using it for the LoD distance model at the same time, so I don't understand the point of using a model that's too high poly just for a shadow. From what I've seen, the default shadow models in TDU aren't more than 300 to 500 triangles, so using more than that is just a waste, especially if the shadow doesn't fully work like some of the mods out there.
  13. It's a 2 tear old mod, links don't stay up forever. Check the Russian sites, especially Grin's own site.
  14. I tried that, I wasn't able to change the car color at the paintshop after that. I tried using one of the 1x1 pixel textures, and all I got was the same color as the interior. If I could find the actual wireframe "map" to the skin, to let me know which parts went where on the texture, I could spend a bit of time in photoshop making a new skin. Something like the Ferrari Challenge stripes, maybe a color option for the roof or hood, anything would be better than a cracked china pattern. Isn't there any way to just "recompile" the BNK without the texture in it?
  15. ........ He asked for the bug reports, that's the way it's actually supposed to be instead of floods of posts that are nothing more than lips puckered up to ginormous backsides. The endless fanboy floods are part of the problem in these situations, not part of the solution. And I check every mod I test to put in the camera list for working mirrors, working doors and windows, working interior colors, working interior and exterior shadows, proper or at least acceptable tire width, even workable cameras & IK's because some cars are impossible. The more working functions the better. IMHO anything that doesn't work like a stock TDU car should be listed as a bug instead of an "omitted feature" like other modders want them to be. Those old unproductive ways finally have a chance to die out, let them die.
  16. I think he's deleting all of his mods, which makes no sense. All his GameFront links are now dead...... There's no reason to quit modding entirely, you're making huge progress with each mod, just because they're not perfect is no reason to quit, especially considering that there's NEVER been a perfect TDU mod in the entire history of TDU modding. Plus you're actually willing to accept bug reports and you've got people willing to help you fix things, which is a HUGE step above the way things used to be around here. That alone gets you more real respect than other modders releasing mod after mod after mod and denying any bugs at all. You have what it takes to keep getting better, don't throw it out now. For the "new" crowd of people that seem to be going around -repping modders just for releasing cars, your ability to + or - Rep needs to be removed, and you need to grow a pair and have the guts to leave your name. I have a feeling I know who's doing it, and the so-called "old ways" of harassing other modders just because they're getting better and might take away your "fame" needs to end, you were never perfect in the first place.
  17. There's only one matte paint color in the game, and that's the matte black/dark grey on the Zondas. You can use TDUMT 1.16 to add that color to other cars.
  18. Actually just renaming the texture didn't do anything at all, it still showed up ingame as ugly as ever. And I can't find any option in TDUMT to totally delete the file so I haven't been able to test that.
  19. I'd love to know who -repped me just for posting a camera set.....
  20. For those that have never heard of the Rossion Q1 before, it's pretty much a Noble M400 renamed for the USA market with some light tuning and a bodykit. Wies Rst Cockpit Audi TT Cockpit_Back Countach Hood M400 Hood_Back Spyker C8 IK Wait a minute, why did you delete the mod???
  21. I don't think the spoiler could ever be controlled like that in TDU-1 unless you found a way to do it manually in increments outside of a garage, maybe with the window controls. Hyper-realism will NEVER be one of TDU's strong points.
  22. For some it isn't getting the doors working that's the problem, it's closing the gaps between the outer and inner door panels and other gaps that's the problem. 3DSMax can do this in a heartbeat with the Bridge command, select two edges, no matter how long, and the gap gets bridged automatically in seconds. It's one of the many reasons why ZModeler is such an inferior program. You can always use the Lookback function until he figures it out. That's one of the reasons I make an effort to do full camera sets that include the Back cams that aren't blocked. And to be honest, maybe like 5% of all the car mods released so far have had mirrors that actually worked properly. In other words, they were facing the right direction, they weren't "cracked" or bent in the middle, they weren't mega-low-rez. Very few mods have actually had truly "functional" mirrors.
  23. Well it looks like I'll have to do things the hard way, are there any texture guideline maps floating around for TDU-2 cars? Even just basic racing stripes would look better at this point. I can look at the existing texture and get a basic idea of what goes where, but it would be easier to work with in photoshop if I had a proper wireframe guidemap for the 599.
  24. What about just deleting the skin texture? I tried renaming it but that didn't work.
  25. The new Ferrari 599 China Edition that just got converted from TDU-2 has the UGLIEST paintjob I've ever seen on a Ferrari, which is unfortunate because it has one of the best interiors for a 599 to date. Is there a way to remove the skin or at least make it 100% transparent so I don't have to look at that ugly cracked china paintjob???
