  1. I'm using the EF-S 55-250 and it is quite capable in many situations. I've used it for sports, wildlife and others and I find the image quality decent. One thing to note though, there is some vignetting (dark edges) at its max zoom, not a pretty sight. I don't know much about the Tamron, though from what I've read its not too bad. I'm planning to replace my 18-55 with a Tamron Avoid the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III.
  2. see of the AF speed and LCD clarity are to your liking. also look at how easy it is to change settings: I use a 40D which has a secondary display near the shutter button, makes it easier to change settings quickly, compared to the xxxD models, where you've to change through the main display.

  6. Well due to lack of time my parents haven't gotten round to fixing it. However we got the dealer to touch up the exposed parts to avoid rust (some of it has been noticed already) It'll take 2 to 3 days for the whole thing to be fixed, so perhaps it'll only be done near the end of the year.
  7. Thanks TomRS! Although I think I still couldn't succeed in making the Prius look like something I would want, its just too ugly

  9. I do it occasionally, mostly for the PTOTW (Photoshop Tuning Of The Week), a little competition every few weeks we have where we chop the same base image. Have a look, its in this forum, would be fun with more participants.

  14. tWm, Koenig, z06dude: I wouldn't classify building pictures under the genre ''street photography"( its more of the 'daily life' side), but I'll let it pass anyway. my entry: -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --

  18. I wish ours could drift like the A31.. Well the 3-series would have much better dynamics and fuel economy The body leans a lot around corners (lack of side support in the rear becomes obvious) and probably understeers too much. We also get around 8km/l (12.5l/100km). I kind of agree, from some angles it just looks awkward, but drop-dead gorgeous from others. It wouldn't even stand a chance in the Mondeo class, because of its dynamics.. Thanks! New damage to the car: narrow carpark ramp + large car + late night = -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- I just discovered some really bad scuffs on the rims (as a result of above). Time to get the touch-up paint out before the car turns into a rust-bucket..
