  1. I've tried that, but ultimately no matter what values I used the suspension still feels stiff. I've set the suspension value everywhere from 200 to 100000 and still feels toof stiff with little suspension travel. I've tried changing the bump values in the physics file but I can seem to get any of the changes I make to take effect

  2. If you ask me, its not untill you actually compare games on your own tv that you discover which truely looks best. When you compare Forza 3 and Forza 4 side by side you realize just how big of a difference there is between the two games. The new lighting system is what really makes the difference, its also the reason i think Forza 4 looks better then GT5. I will admit, i actually think the enviroments look a bit more realistic in GT5, however they look alot more dull. Forza 4 took more arcady looking enviroments and made them look more visually impressive then actually are, and in my opinion it makes Forza more visually appealing.

On a note that is un-GT5 realated, i must say i am abosutly impressed with the new physics engine made better with sim steering, its nice too be able have soo much control over the way you go around a corner. I don't i've ever played a racing game on this generation of consoles that felt this realistic. The added body roll does wonders for the fell of weight transfer. I still think there should be more body roll though, but the suspenion feels alot more realistic, epecially when you hit bumps.

  3. And the 175 cars was from around June/July wasn't it?

You asked if they stated whether A is asphalt, B is offroad and C is Classic and I answered no. I raced in a B4 championship using either my Golf or Esprit as they were my two first cars. This was at the end of October and I find it highly unlikely that they would change the car classes for all the cars in the game and then also have to change all of the races in the game. Possible but unlikely. It would create more unnecessary work for them to do.

The version of the game we played was an earlier version of what will turn out to be the retail copy of the game.

Anything else I've said you want to take a little dig at?

Lets not take this personal. But, as you can see in this
at 0:47, it stats the Golf as being A7 class, and the Lotus being in C4 class. And GMdestra recently posted a pic of the stats on the Range Rover Sport Which show that it is B4 class.
  4. Meh. I think I'll hold off on getting TDU2 until I see some better additions over DLC.

No ZR1, CTS-V, Challenger, GT500 (they have the 2007 one, but that's not good enough when there's newer versions, and that this one is four years old), Viper ACR, or at least the 2010+ Mustang GT?

As t. said, they should really expect Americans to want to be able to drive American cars (like they did in TDU1 with their variety of American muscle cars from the late 60's, early 70's, and today). But by putting cars in the game from several years ago that have newer well-improved versions, I don't see how they would get anyone from America to really want to play TDU2.

Sorry, but the Camaro SS, Viper SRT-10, '07 GT500, Charger SRT-8, '06 Mustang GT, and Shelby Cobra Daytona don't cut it for me. In my view, this game is hardly marketed towards Americans. I'll stick with TDU1 for now. :sulk:

The GT500 is the 2010 version, and the Mustang GT is most likely the 2010 version as well(it could be the 2011 though, i recall diablo said it was the 2011).
  5. Bear in mind that these video's are on an Xbox console, and it wasn't a fully finished version of the game, it was just sort of like a taster of it. It'll look alot better on release. The proper press releases and trailer photo's and video's are probably all from a PC version with higher grade graphics (as are all PC games over Xbox)
Its also important to consider that the videos are "off screen",meaning they were shot with a video camera as opposed to a capture card, which was probably used to shoot the trailers and screen shots....plus the devs have access to d-bug commands that you guys probably didn't,lol.
  6. Hey Baldred, seeing how you bought the "ranger" rover sport, i was wondering if you could remeber its performances stats, and if they made a mistake and gave it the Supercharged engine. If its Supercharged the stats would be

    Power:510 bhp(possibly 504)

Acceration: 5.9 seconds (possibly 6.2 seconds)

    Top Speed:140 mph(or 225 kph)

If its not supercharged it should read

    Power:375BHP

    Acceration:7.2seconds(possibly 7.5 seconds)

    Top Speed 130mph(209 KPH)

    thanks

  7. They did not slap an HSE badge on the supercharged RR. They are to different types of HSE its all a matter of options which is very new to the RR sport. Your judging it because of the exaust pipes the old HSE did not have this option now it does which makes it more sportier and it takes away from its true off-road capabillitys..... Any one that knows or owns a range rover knows these things.
Actually I was judging that by the Sidevents, which are made of a simualar material to bars on the grill, the ones on the HSE are black plastic. But then Agian i have found none supercharged Range Rover Sports. Also, their is a Blue first gen Range Rover Sport HSE in my town that had the same exhast pipes as the Supercharged. But I fail to see how they would take away from the Range Rover Sports off road capiblity. The only thing that I can see that would take away for the Sports off road capiblity is the dynamic response option, which is standard on the Supercharged. This is because the it reduces the amount of articulation in the suspenion. But I would consider the Sport Supercharged to be a True Off Roader just as much as the HSE.

Edit:Yep i was wrong about it being a rebaged Supercharged. Here is a link to a picture that represents it perfectly.

  8. I can't wait. RR sport = love mb. and I'd like to say...yes! we could have...RR Sport V8 supercharged-VW Toerag V10TDI and I want to see the Disco 3 V6 in that.

they do look rather poop don't they.

[mod edit:] Please do not double post, use the edit button instead. Thanks!

Im not sure if I completely understood your post right, and i cant tell if you are asking for those SUVs to be the game, but the Range Rover Sport is the video is not the Supercharged model. It is the HSE model, producing 375 hp from NA 5.0L V8,instead of making 510 hp from a 5.0L Supercharged V8.
  9. GameSpot Start/Select added, typical interview with Vince F but keep an eye on the background for clips of the License Centre and also at least one of the tests where you have to park in the red glowing X.
You should add this as the link, its the test drive unlimited 2 interview by its self.

  10. Good vid, however if Eden is reading and wants a great point of reference for off-road physics and handling then seek out a copy of enthusia for the PS2 (quite rare these days) and try out a Range Rover on that.

Yah thats good idea as well, plus I thinks its worth noting that the Range Rover is that video I posted has a stablity control system that cant be turned off, which is probably why it was so stable.

Edit:Anyone else playing euthusia right now :)

  11. The game is still a few months away so there's plenty of time to get the handling feeling good, so I wouldn't worry. The handling is essential to this game, if that is messed up then all the work everywhere else will be wasted so they need to get it right and from the feedback they are getting and listening to, this will be the case.

BTW the off-road handling is actually not too bad, in fact having the looseness experienced off-road would be very welcome on the road. Not long to go till we can tell you more about that though. :)

That is good news, also here is a referance for how a luxury SUV should perform while racing off road.
