This is very nice! I'd like such a tool to test the sound mods without launching the game! :O If you need more samples I suggest you download some sound mods for GTR, GTR2, RFACTOR and GT LEGENDS on dedicated modding sites, you can find A LOT of good stuff there (you just need to register) and they are not in a bnk like in TDU so you can read them directly from the Finder on your Mac (plus they have a better quality than in TDU)

Ok, I think I resolved the mystery, and guess what? It is a DB7 actually! Just read this : http://www.astonmartins.com/db7/db7_v8_lemans_GT1.htm You guys were right about the v8 though!! So the proper name would be "Aston martin DB7 V8 GT1 Le Mans" Also, I've read that the first generation of DB7 (1994) had a 6 cylinders inline engine. Could it be such an engine in the recording? Just to make sure...

I just found from what cd it comes from! : http://www.carsonline.com.au/soundcds.html (at the bottom of the list) It doesn't help much because there is no complete tracklist, they say there is a db7 in it though... (I have a tracklist here, just wanted to check if it is the same)... Maybe the graphist made a mistake or there was a confusion when naming the files... Here is my tracklist : 01. I made a sound mod for the DB7 based on this audio (found on a cd.. Well I only have some wav conversions I don't own the original cd and I'd like to know what cd it is exactly, if someone has a clue...) : But someone who knows about engines (not like me!) told me that it wasn't a DB7 sound (read the youtube comments) so I'm pretty embarassed. What do you think? I made a nice sound mod with it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6yLWN-33cQ) and in case of a release I'd like to know on what car to use it. Thanks for help.

I made a FXX sound mod from a similar video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWAAUBMoh0s) and it was, as you can hear, not very convincing... The problem is the impossibility to make stable samples from these videos (mostly because the accelerations are too short and not linear enough, plus some anoying background noise at high speed). I'm not sure I can do better today but it's a sound I would have liked to do properly... I'll post the link here if I give it another try, thanks.

I don't think so, unfortunatly.

1 : I never made a sound for the Diablo. 2 : It's not a default vehicle. 3 : It's not "really good", it's just average and doesnt worth spending time on it. Maybe you should have a better look at my first post?

This can sound nice at first listening, but : 1 : The car is in a room so you have an echo all the time. 2 : The dyno noise is too loud. No problem, I'm sure the next one will be the good one! Thanks.

There is a misunderstood, I thougt you were talking about the sound, pretending it's not a 964 sound, while you were talking about the picture... But the car on this picture isn't supposed to be the car in the audio, it's just a movie I made myself to illustrate the sound with a picture that I found on a site. Now maybe the site where I grabbed it made a mistake and then you make your point, no problem. Thanks for trying to help. Allright! I hope it's really a 964 on that picture, so I won't have to make a new movie :(

No sorry, I just made this one because I had this decent recording under the hand, but I'm planning to release a 911 sound and maybe a 996 cup sound, based on the same kind of audio, which are not bad.

Sorry if that offended you but that was clearly not the purpose of my answer! Maybe I used the wrong words (I'm french...) because here, "fail" is not a mean or bad word, it just mean that you didn't succeed, that's all. However, I know you're trying to help (and so am I), it's just that I didn't take the time to tell why these videos are not appropriated because, to my opinion, I've done it already a lot of times for some similar previous posts and I'm getting lazy about it. It's not good, why? because, like in most of the cases, the engine volume isn't loud enough, you hear too much other noises that you would hear in the sound mod too, which is not good. This is an example of a good video : I just should have said "thanks anyway", to Tob-Racer and you, so take my apologizes!
