TECHNICALLY mine is US, its a 240sx, not the JDM 180sx. ;) And I think the theme is referring the the USDM style, as in hellaflush, stickerbombing, etc. I could be wrong though, it could be limited to American brands, but would the theme not be American Cars, if that were the case?.. Anyhoo.

Complete with low offset black rotas, stickerbombing and other stickers. JDM is turning into the new RICE in America, makes me nervous that stickerbombing is spreading here... I do have better taste than this- anyone thats checked my photo thread lately knows that ;)

Yeah actually, I think weve lost sight of what were doing here... As mike said, its an online forum competition with no prize, is it that big a deal? I think its working just fine, and all this has been sparked by a comment that was taken the wrong way. I reckon changing things like we've been talking about is more likely to push entries away...

I'd like to add that to add to the anonymity, you cant use pictures from sets youve posted already- say you use a car thats particularly different and easily recognizible- even if the pic you use for potw isnt included in your photothread, someone could link the anonymous entry with the set in the entrants thread... Does that actually make sense? lol.

I understand that the red wheels might not be to everyones taste, usually I am not a fan of coloured wheels, but... They just worked for me on this car. Factory Frankenstein. This Gran Turismo has the V12 engine from the MC12, with further tuning, putting out 730 horsepower... Super Light... Now in lime!. Like a Boss. Reborn Just thought I'd put these up, sorta as teasers I guess, just to show you guys that I am still very much active. I'll have 2 sets up very soon, and i'll be finishing the LP570 set a little bit later. Hopefully Clarence wants to be my photo buddy this evening, and I can put the Camaro and Mustang together. :twisted: Just a bit of a back story for the Mustang and Camaro. As some of you may know, i'm often split between Muscle cars and JDM. These 2 are my sort of... Combination of the 2 styles, while still being very muscle car-esque. The original 429 cubic inch, 7 Litre V8 engine from the Boss Mustang is gone. In its place is the smaller, more efficient, and most importantly, more powerful 5.4 Litre Supercharged V8 from the new Shelby GT500. And when I say more powerful, i'm not kidding. Putting out a whopping 680 horsepower, its no slouch- and it makes a tremendous noise. Pretty much everything that has some affect on the car moving has been upgraded or straight up replaced. The brakes have been upgraded to huge carbon ceramic discs all round, pulling the car up from 60 to 0 mph in only 35 metres! Due to the huge brakes, the wheels had to be replaced with larger ones. Bronze 18" Advan RGII's in agressive fitmet were chosen. Wrapped in grippy Bridgestone semi slicks, 245mm at the front and 285mm at the rear. Obviously the suspension had to be completely replaced, as the standard ones are basically set up for drag racing, or powerslides- no grip in sight. Stiffer springs and shocks, as well as sway bars, and a front strut tower bar bring the car into shape, and it can now take corners a lot more civilized (but still kicks the tail out every so often). The driveline has seen a major upgrade as well. A race strength clutch has been added, and a carbon fibre prop shaft. Oh and theres a 6 speed gearbox :). An adjustible (1.5 way) Limited Slip Differential has been added as well. The overall package is just brilliant. Finished in jet black, the bronze wheels really stand out, and I mean... Black with chrome will never go out of style either, so all the badging and trim looks awesome. The Camaro is much the same story, with a supercharged LS9 straight from the ZR1 Corvette, it is not a slow car either- and it too makes a great noise. It shares the same brakes as the Mustang- in fact, pretty much everything is the same as the Mustang. The suspension is very similar, and has a similar set up, it sports Gunmetal 18" Rota Tarmac 3 wheels- a popular wheel for STi WRX's and Evo Lancers-, wrapped in the same 245/285mm Bridgestone semi slick tyres. Even the driveline is basically the same. Repainted, but to an original colour scheme, it looks stunning in Silver with Black stripes- and the black vinyl roof adds to these theme greatly. So these 2 cars should be quite similar on the track, yes? We'll find out a bit later on, watch the shared thread of myself and Clarence ;)

If someone is sad enough to go and check the entry thread to see who posted what then good on them, they care more about a certain person winning than fairness, you are better than them for voting for what you think is right. edit: i'm not sure whats brought this on, btw, voting seems normal and fair. flickr always used to seem to come out at higher quality/close to original quality than the rest, maybe the rest have gotten with the times lol.

The entry would be up on their flickr/whatever page though, I wouldnt expect anyone to create a second flickr account (I use flickr because it is the best photo sharing/uploading service out there- I payed for my membership as well though, which is why I wouldnt expect anyone to need a second account to post their entries in...).

Theres a few different types of TE37s. Regular TE37s that come in just about any size and offset combination. TE37Vs which are a slightly different spoke design, with old school style dish, instead of the concave style that normal TE37s are. TE37 Seibon Time Attack editions which are matte black with a red stripe around the outside And those ones, gunmetal metallic with the Red Volk sticker- but I cant remember what they are XD edit: Ahh theyre called Super Lap Specials. After the Super Lap time attack series, I guess lol.
