  1. Just read about the origins of that 5 in the logo. Apparently its straight from an old 5 dollar bill that was used in the US from 1899 to 1964. 60s Grand Theft Auto perhaps? Or 50s even??
  2. Its an R33:leaves: but thanks :) And yes, we do need spacers, the AE86 etc would especially benefit from them.
  3. Is that your LP640? I'm guessing not, there'd be more photos of it if you'd won/bought one XD Nice shots, even though the FF is my least favourite car at the moment :P
  4. Just picked this design up, pretty happy with it, looks real enough. Race Bred Click here for high resolution versions Leave me some feedback if you've taken a look, its really appreciated :)
  5. Ah the 2002 is great, isnt it? Love my one. We should definitly have a cruise/photo session with our unicorns ;)
  6. Civil war- the battle of the Prancing Horse. So heres something that hasnt been requested, but I felt like doing. I know I've already done a Ferrari review, but this one wont include the FF (:D) and will be more thorough. Civil War Today I'm reviewing the illusive Ferrari 430 Scuderia. I'll be pitting it against what I believe are its main rivals in the Ferrari camp- Its successor, the 458 Italia, and the firm's new Grand Touring monster, the 599 GTO. The piece of road chosen for this comparison, are the astoundingly beautiful twists and turns of Camino Viejo de Montserrat. First of all, i'd like to note that while the 430 is stock, I have tuned the suspension and tyre pressures to my liking. This is because I found it quite understeery with the default settings. So the 430 Scuderia. Most of you will know a fair bit about it, but i'm sure someone cant see the difference between it and the regular F430. Contrary to Clarkson's comments, the word 'Scuderia' doesnt actually mean team. Not directly anyway. Its literal translation is 'a place where racing horses are kept', or stable. Enzo Ferrari used the word to describe his racing team- his 'stable of prancing horses', if you will. Appropriate then, right? It is powered by the same 4.3 Litre V8 that you'll find in the regular F430, The inlet ducts and exhaust system have been revised. The intake manifold is now made from carbon fibre, as is the filter housing- reducing weight, and also making those parts stronger. The exhaust system was derived from the F430 Challenge. This ups the power from 483 horsepower to 508. Extensive weight reduction has also been a major focus of the car. That gorgeous composite material that every other car within the performance world has capitolized on (Pagani, anyone?), carbon fibre, has been used for the front splitter, rear diffuser, rear window vents, most of the interior, even the panel that is moulded to the tail-lights. Along with that, the carpet has been stripped out, revealing a bare metal floor. All of this has brought the weight down to just 1350 KG- a whole 100 KG less than the regular F430! It rides on awesome looking 19" 10 spoke wheels, available in grey/black or a deep bronze/gold finish (in real life, only the grey/black is available in game), wrapped in 235mm wide Pirelli PZero tyres- 285mm at the rear. Lurking behind the wheels are huge carbon ceramic brake discs, with 6 pot calipers on the fronts, 4 pot on the rears. The aerodynamics have also been revised- the most obvious change to the regular F430 with a glance. It now features larger, more agressive vents on the front bumper, as well as a central vent lower down. As mentioned earlier, it now sports a carbon fibre splitter on the front as well. The front guards have been revised, also. I never really liked the rear of the F430, it always looked to plain. That has been rectified with the Scuderia- A huge carbon fibre diffuser has been integrated into the rear bumper, and the panel that goes along underneath the tail lights is also carbon fibre, with a much larger, rectangular vent in the middle. So thats all well and good, but how does it actually drive? Straight from the showroom, its a bit on the understeery side. Very fast though, with a top speed of 319 kilometres an hour. With some light suspension tuning, as well as upping the rear tyre pressure, though, it turns into a cornering dream. It slices through the downhill s-bends in the first sector of Camino Viejo de Montseratt with ease, and thanks to the big carbon ceramic brake discs, easily pulls up for the hairpin at the bottom. A little understeer can still be felt at the corner exit, but not anything to worry about. Throttle control is paramount on corner exit though, as simply stomping your foot down will send you sideways very quickly. I took the car out for about 5 laps- thats including a warm up lap, and a cool down lap to gather my thoughts. I managed a time of 1:10.183. Part 2, my review of the 458, will be up soon. Full set here Disclaimer: I never edit my photos outside of the game. I race and test cars with a Microsoft wireless racing wheel, in my custom built simulator cockpit. I don't use any assists (ABS, TCS, etc), and use manual with the clutch, despite having to use a button on the wheel for the clutch pedal.
  7. GAAHHHHH get those dubs off the M5 now! Nice shots though lol. Trying to work out what circuit that M5 is at... Motegi?
  8. Eh, why not. Since I saw it, i've wanted a 599 GTO, same goes for the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera. An odd one that i'd love is an S14 Onevia, probably a vertex kit (since it'd match up all round), sleepy eye headlights, with a supercharged VQ35DE from the 350z. >.>
  9. I know what you mean, Florida, for some reason no one pays attention to my thread either :(
  10. Love this one http://sv670.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Forza+Motorsport/Forza65.JPG/_smaller.jpg Do you play the game and use your computer on the same screen? It could be that your tv has a higher contrast ratio etc than your monitor, making it seem as though you've lost a lot of quality, but its really that your monitor cant display it as well as your tv/monitor that you use for gaming. I do experience some quality loss also, though- not a whole lot though.
  11. I made the voting so long because I was hoping that more people would vote... :(
  12. Clarence and I had some epic- and i mean epic- lulz at racing on Sunset Peninsula's oval earlier. I think we did S class and R2 or something, amongst other silly multi class combos, with 11 AI racers and ourselves. They just have absolutely no idea how to, 1- go around you, and 2- avoid an existing pileup. I was hit from behind, which spun me and the AI driver out on the front straight, then I think all but 2 AI piled straight into us. Funniest thing i've seen in the game. If you want even more hilarity, try r1 and f class on the top gear test track, set it for 10-15 laps, and make all the f class ai use the h1  Anyways, lol. nice shots :)
  13. lol, which one XD Thanks :D
  14. Thanks :) love my hako so much...
  15. great shots, unfortunately a lot (agera, some dbs) are quite overexposed. I tend to up the exposure to about 60, max, then up the contrast to between 55 and 75, and lower the brightness. You get the 'epic' feel of it being dark and contrasted, but still bright and lifelike ;)
  16. Thanks, but which one are you referring to, technically there are 3 last shots :P (the fifth one up there, the last warehouse shot, or the last one at fujimi kaido XD)
  17. Y'know what, i'm sorry but I dont think I will enter this week XD Cant find an Italian car I like (in fm4) other than Ferrari's and Lambo's, but I wanted to think outside the box a bit. Maybe next time lol
  18. Hakosuka! *sigh* I know, double post... If more people paid attention to me, or commented at least, this wouldnt be an issue lol. My new favourite car in the game, my autocross tuned, but, apparently touge suited KPGC10 Skyline GTR. One of my very favourite cars in the real world. Touge Runner Click here for warehouse shots Click here for Fujimi Kaido shots Since then, the wheels have been replaced with ridiculously deep dished Konig Superleggera III's. Dont worry, I have a white one that has retained the bumpers, and is on the Lorinsers. I wish the game had some real RS Watanabe 8 spokes, instead of the comprimise of either having the correct spokes, but no dish, or the odd Lorinsers, that actually have 9 spokes... Anyways!- Drop me a comment, I'd really appreciate it :)
  19. DAMN Criss, awesome. Sorry lol XD
