  1. On another note, the vehicle list has leaked out. It doesn't look 100% complete and is somewhat mucked up by the guys at Brady Games but at least there's pictures. I haven't looked at it myself but apparently there's some good ones based on what others were saying.

imgur: the simple 404 page <Car list spoiler

EDIT: Oops, looks like it's been removed... :o But it's not hard to find on GTAForums.

The next 4 days are going to be agonizing, especially since I may finally be getting a car.

  2. The original hands-on has a few mission spoilers but the written part has more detailed spoilers. I had to skip some of it. The online preview pretty much goes over stuff we already knew. I think there is one new tidbit in there about an activity we can do, we surprised and oddly excited me a little.

That new screenshot with the guys in the back of the truck got me pumped. Wondering what can happen with that...

  3. I think it's worth mentioning that the official website has been relaunched with tons more info and photos along with three new videos scattered about. I was just waiting for someone else to make a better topic here than I'd make.

  4. I'm sure we've all seen the part in Franklin's trailer where the Ruiner drifts through a left turn. While playing IV today, I got in a Ruiner and tried to replicate it. All I was able to achieve was a shameful one-wheeled burnout or a sideways slide to a stop. The body lean was also atrocious.

In the trailer, it looks like the suspension has been tightened up quite a bit, the assists removed, power band made more realistic, and perhaps, LSD's have been added as well. Really looking forward to see what type of power we can add to these cars.

What are you all excited to upgrade and customize? I want some nice muscle cars and maybe a few lowered imports with (hopefully) turbo kits.

  5. And with these new pictures, previews have confirmed quite a few things.

    Weapon and car customization

    Property purchasing

    Character customization

    Upgrading your crew

Animals such as coyotes and deer

    Flies and mosquitos at night

    RV's

    And a lot more.

My PS3 is going to be putting in overtime this fall!

  6. I agree that the games are fun. I'm just in the mindset that Deep Silver should set the price at $50 or make sure the quality is improved enough to charge the full price. I had a lot of fun with my friend online as well, but there were just numerous issues that could get on my nerves that were pretty obvious.

As far as the same map, TDU2 still had Oahu and I enjoyed that, but even then they still overhauled the graphics and added a new island to it. But if people can still enjoy, that's all that really matters. I'll probably get it before GTA comes out because I know I certainly won't be playing it for awhile after that comes out.

  7. And yet SR2 was the exact same map and you enjoyed it.

I never played the first so I had no idea until it was mentioned earlier today. Still, that has to show some of the laziness and/or lack of care THQ has for SR that I was talking about.

  8. You're the first person who's ever told me they didn't like SRTT. Saints Row is miles away from where GTA is and it's a great place for them to be - nothing is like Saint's Row, which is what makes it such an amazing series. You can only have the SR experience IN SR. Too many GTA spawns are trying to copy the magic that Rockstar produce, where as THQ just went nuts on SR.

Well I wouldn't say I didn't like the concept of the game and the stuff included, but the execution was terrible. Glitches everywhere and a story that made almost no sense. The game just didn't feel finished to me. Also, the DLC was terrible.

I still enjoyed the game, I just wish THQ would have taken more time to complete the game and bring it up to par on quality. I played SR2 after The Third and I was amazed at how good it was compared to The Third.

But to the point, I really want to try SR:IV but the fact that it is just an expanded DLC really shows in the trailer. (Still on the same map)

  9. Loooks interesting. But with GTA V and Watch Dogs coming out, I think I'll be picking this up when it's about $30-40.

Also, SRTT left me with a bad impression of where the series is going. It looks like the same city too?
