  1. And that raises a question for me: for a studio that usually only makes WRC games once every while when it's about cars... how can they get more funding for licensing of cars than Atari? It was disappointing already to have 103 cars of which 20+ were divided over club-exclusives, pre-orders and DLC in TDU2... how will they ever get that sorted out?

Big Ben/Kylotonn WRC titles even had a smaller car selection compared to Milestone latest WRC titles.

  2. Cobra11 games have been sold in North America, but I don't know about WR2 though. So, as you said, that probably have made things harder since the game might not have been sold everywhere.

Regarding the community, both games had (and still have) the main part of it on german places, which is not helpful aswell. Even if you can actually speak english in those places since the admins know english very well, the fact these places are german might tend to keep away people from other countries.

About the WR2 modding community, we are actually stronger than before, which IMHO is the best thing which could ever happen for the game :p

You can check a dear friend's facebook page, he works on both addon cars and tracks, everything which is related to the closed circuit racing "ambient":

While, there's my FB page too in my signature. :p

  3. I would like to help you since I very appreciate the interest you are putting into transitions which are very important to make the samples switch smoothly, but I never tried to make engine sound mods for TDU so I don't actually know how to do it for this game :(

If you need help with sample editing (not TDU related) feel free to ask though!

  4. So you think a car is unlocked and you have all the rights to use it? Read the readme files, everything is written there, stating the fact you can't use their work without asking first. Some GTA modders don't close their cars because there are ways to rip these even if you lock the models, so it's just useless to lock them. That doesn't mean you are allowed to do such things. Ever heard of respect of other people content, work, efforts and property?

So, I now know what I always thought about your mods, they are all stolen. It was so obvious since you never credited anyone, just picking whatever you saw in GTA SA and dropping it into TDU but now I have proofs. This is Mad_Driver10's Montreal, the Jalpa is from MD10 too and you don't have permission to convert his cars. Delete them.

  6. The 718 and the 356 are astonishing. T10 finally decided to put these two classics ingame.

Well Forza uses the same models since FM3 on some. I think to have seen the exact same 996 GT3 in FM3 and FM4. So, nothing really new, yes

Thought the same thing about that 996, the rear end is kinda messy just like the previous ones  If you consider it was in FM1 aswell it's actually a rework going on since a decade :D

I don't hate anything, that's your only impression of my words. I'm explaining you that proper tuning culture always existed but you just didn't know as apparently you were sure only ricers ruled since 2000 to 2010. Tuning is about preparing a car with a sense and a logic, this has been done since day one until now.

  8. If you followed the Ricer culture back in the days as the main culture that's your own problem, because you just followed a stupid trend and not the real culture which was really behind everything.

And do you know the difference betwenn a Slammed car and a car with low ride height with a purpose?

Please review the meaning of the "Slammed" word.

    Slammed | StanceNationâ„¢ // Form Function

  9. Need For Speed won't have bagged cars, you have to race with your vehicle so it's obviously " function > form " logic here.

EA didn't reflect the past tuning culture with Underground, they just spread ignorance. Just look at this Pimp My Ride episide, the guy wanted a car like the one he made in NFSU2, I think that explains alot. Pimp My Ride 2x07 Nissan 240SX 89 - YouTube

UG2 came out in 2004, and in 2004 I assure you the real tuning culture was different. As an example, this game "Kaido Battle" a.k.a. "Tokyo Xtreme Racer - Drift" which came out in 2003. IGCD.net: Vehicles/Cars list for Kaido Battle

Take a look at the tuned cars of this game, you won't find ricey vehicles in it, but track-day / time attack builds.

This because UG/UG2 shared the Ricer culture, not the real Tuning culture, the tuning with a purpose. That's the difference between UG and the nowadays NFS.

  10. Don't confuse ricey cars with proper builds guys. If you see huge wings or apparently flashy stuff like that on these cars in NFS, that doesn't mean these parts are useless. Tuning brands in this game are pro ones, this means you can build a race car with such components IRL, not something suitable for your local ricey meet.

And I'm not even talking about aestethics. Feel free to compare the ugliness of Underground 2 bodykits with these ones.

This is not UG2, this is on another level, because of the huge help by SpeedHunters.
