  2. They really need to fix many things in the show. This last season had some nice moments but in terms of cars you always feel they are outdated. They're bringing the same cars over and over and when they finally get their hands in something "new" all the other car media sources have already reviewed them. Hope they fix this mess with Clarkson soon and create a position for Sabine Schmitz in the show somehow. Not as a host but doing something else.

  3. Well, I might be a little late but it seems that even the guys making Forza Horizon 2 understood precisely what I was pointing out in my last post (they even used the same words):

    "The Southern European setting seems like such a logical choice; a no-brainer that really taps into the fantasy of threading absurdly-expensive supercars through the French and Italian countryside. It’s the sort of thing you might see the hosts of the BBC’s Top Gear doing every other week..."

    We wanted to go somewhere a little bit exotic, somewhere that felt like the greatest summer road trip,” says Fulton. “I think that necessitates coming away from America. Not because that it isn’t a very fertile place for games; I think because we just thought we’ve been driving around North America in open-world games quite a lot over the last couple of years. Southern Europe just felt fresh, it felt different, it felt new, and it was a gimme for us.”

    Source: IGN (just go to the "Forza Horizon 2 Announced" thread to see the link for the article)

    After all it seems that Forza Horizon 2 will be the true "spiritual scucessor" of TDU, which isn't a surprise as the first Horizon "borrowed", copied and tried to reproduce TDU's philosophy in many ways, at the time a lot of people made that comparison. The game philosophy, location, even the radio stuff they go through in this article is based on the TDU concept. Unfortunately this won't be released on the PC.

    P.S. How do you like someone's post? (I'm new around here, only see the +rep button)

  4. But you know Hawaii is 50th state of USA? And it might not be a spiritual succesor but the map is a lot larger than Hawaii and it features different localisations from big aglomerations through deserts to snowy mountains, whats not to like?

    Yes, of course I know that but I was talking about the scenery in itself. E.g. Hawaii and Ibiza have this exotic, tropical and mediterranic feeling to them, they are "charismatic" locations, the kind of places that we usually associate with "good life", they have their own "personality" in the same way each country has its own specific vibe or atmosphere.

    I'm not saying that the US doesn't have beautiful landmarks, but have you seen how many open world games with a real or fictional world map have been released in the last few years based on the generic US scenery type? (Forza Horizon, NFS The Run, NFS Rivals, NFS Hot Pursuit 2010, NFS Most Wanted 2012, Driver San Francisco etc). I mean, enough already... TDU was a breath of fresh air in the genre because of its world map, location and "spirit". Even the first NFS's before the 2005 Most Wanted were attractive because of the locations they tried to portray in their closed tracks.

    Diablo: to me a "spiritual sucessor" is something that shares the same principles, "spirit" and "charisma" of the previous installments. And a TDU set on the US doesn't feel exotic at all, feels more like a NFS really, something which I've been hearing quite a lot. Anyway, to each his own, this is only my opinion.

    BTW, I would like to hear people's opinions/suggestions about where TDU3 should be set. ;) To me don't know why but any surf paradise spot seems to fit TDU, Galápagos Islands, Easter island, Micronesia Islands etc.

  5. Honestly, I personally don't see The Crew as a legitimate successor or even a "spiritual" successor of TDU just because some of the guys who worked on the first TDU are working on it.

    TDU was about the luxurious lifestyle with real world map based on real world dream locations, so TDU in USA... no thanks. I'm tired of open world games with fictional maps with US scenery type. If there's going to be any TDU3 I hope they consider some islands like Corsica, New Zealand, Australia or even some beautiful places in European countries like Italy, Switzerland, Austria etc. (e.g. look up the Top Gear episode on their youtube channel where they looked for "driving heaven" or best roads in the world.) Add that to a realistic physics engine and handling, no more overdone Sims type avatar customization, a modern carlist and we have a winner.

  6. You can modify it in the gamepc.cpr.

    I found Knyazev's video on how to decrypt .cpr files, nevertheless I must have done something wrong... :confused:

    I did everything in Knyazev's video concerning the decryption process, in the end I was left with a GamePC.cpr_dec and GamePC_enc.cpr, same thing with the SystemPC.cpr. Since Knyazev doesn't show what to do next in his video I just copy/pasted all these files to the TDU2 directory.

    I found the motion blur parameter in the GamePC.cpr_dec and set it to "0" and I even set the "PostFX" to "0" as well.

    Like this:

    [PostFX]

    PostFXEnabled = 0

    ENABLEMOTIONVECTOR = 0

    MV_FPS_RESCALE = 1.0

    MV_FPS_RESCALE_MIN_STRENGTH = 0.0

    MV_FPS_RESCALE_MAX_STRENGTH = 5.0

    MV_RADIAL_BLUR = 0

    I edited it with Notepad++ but Motion blur is still enabled anyway, in Notepad++ there was an option to insert "off" but didn't seem right because 1= enabled and 0 should disable them...

  7. StarGT or someone else: could you please reupload this file again? Mediafire would be the best. I have tried to download it several times through the depositfiles link mentioned above but it's so slow that even the transfer bar in my browser (Firefox) doesn't move at all (I always get less than 20kb/sec. of download speed in that link) :(

  8. Hey guys, incoming noobie lol Years ago I lurked a lot around TDUCentral and the last time I checked this site the graphic interface was still a WIP, anyway, it's nice to see this has become a nice place for the TDU modders community & players to hangout. Despite all the bugs I actually like TDU2, though I only use the SP mode, MP is not my thing. I'm from the same country as jorgemodek ;) Hope to see you guys around.

    P.S. It's been quite a while since I haven't played TDU2, a question for all the TDU pros here: the last savegame I made was from the exploration pack version, will that savegame work with the last TDU2 update, the DLC2 v034 b16?
