  1. The Zagato ran me into 4.2 million to get it untuned. But it is in the garage, waiting to race. See ya in 53 minutes.
  2. I gotta scratch out 3 mill for a Zagato. Forgot the one I had was stage 3 tuned. Hehe. Colors.... what to choose....?
  3. As in monday? I dunno. How about 20 gmt? That'd be 21 for us euros.
  4. Tomorrow night seems popular. I voted for Tues, but I am flexible. Go go go
  5. Friend of mine pointed out, that my signature on the Atari-boards have been deleted. The signature read: "I have little use for a forum, where what I am told is either lies, half-truths, post-poned or changed time and time again. Goodbye!" They saw fit to completely ignore the problems surrounding the Hardcore-lies and then they bury it further by deleting posts they don't like and change people's signatures. I am beginning to think, that people like Paven and RichMR2 may have met an untimely end with an overenthusiastic fascistic set of rules regarding their forums which is sad in the year 2007, where consumers are more critical than ever. So take care of your posts, be alert, that stuff posted on the Atari forums may not be the whole truth and some unfortunates, like myself, may have had perfect legitimate posts deleted through no fault of my own, without having broken any rules on the forums, besides pointing out the uncomfortable truths regard Atari and their pardon my french half-bottomed way of doing business. I am disgusted and have lost all respect for Atari and the way they conduct business on those forums. As I have said previously, it is a comfort to know that Diablo isn't a mindless drone, and doesn't feel that Atari needs to be protected at all costs. I have no intentions of going back to the Atari forums, as I am more comfortable here. *bow*
  6. What happened is, I think, that they wanted to make it realistic, and overdid the whole "brake-lock" thing. Same as when you accelerate and want to turn. Even the F cars does an entire donut. Hope Hardcore changes this.
  7. I think it is worth remembering, that this game is developed by Eden Entertainment and published by Atari. Let's give credit, where credit is due: Eden did a fabulous job with this game. Eden is continually giving the game life. Atari is the middleman, and as such, should be eliminated from the process altogether. Diablo. You have taken on one of the most thankless jobs in the world. I'm (As most of you know) a journalist by education. This means I have some training in Public Relations, and to be the person that has to explain why the company they work for has screwed something up through no fault of yours, is about as bad as it gets. But, as someone once said, it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it. There are a lot of things, that can be excused, and which has to be excused. This last Hardcore thing cannot and should not be excused. They are breaking marketing laws by saying one thing and doing another. And with the track-record they have for going back on what has been said, I think this is one of the things that seriously makes people doubt what the intentions are from Atari's side. Don't get me wrong. I am not a fool. I know they are in it to make money. But this is just too dirty. First they claim you need the Xmas-pack, then they change their mind and let you get it, even if you don't ahve the pack, then they charge you for it. And 510 MS points. Please... This screams to high heavens. I was shocked when I saw the following replies from the Mods on the boards: Tenebra stopped by to wrinkle her nose at the people who are actually pointing out that laws are being broken: " All this for 80p??? Never damn happy, are you? First complaints for the mode being restricted, then complaints for the mode being open. Please." Understudy made it perfectly clear what he thinks of Atari's customers: HappySpaceInvdr..... lolblue: Oh! The Irony.... And my favourite: Bye then.. :salut2: I can understand, that being an unpaid moderator for a company that has the track-record of the one of Atari can be a hard battle at times. However there is no excuse to belittle the people and abuse your status of moderator. In fact the behaviour of Understudy would most likely get him fired from most PR-jobs I know of and Tenebras comment would most likely get her a warning. It's difficult not to let it get to you. You are in a position, where you feel you have to defend the company you work for. I think it is impressive, that Diablo at least takes the time to think about these things. My hat off to you sir. Also my hat off to Mole, who seems to understand that what has happened is in fact not the cleverest of moves, and that some sort of compensation is due. Let's see what will happen. But at least now, we have this little piece of heaven, where we can discuss the wonder that is Eden's product: Test Drive Unlimited. Cheers Eden.
  8. Regardless of the mood on the atari-boards, and to be honest I am apalled at the reactions from the mods (Not you Diablo) on some of the stuff I and others have posted, I am not going to buy the Hardcore Pack. I have sent mail to the Atari Nordic offices, and I ran through marketing laws with a colleague on the paper I work for, who is in the Cosumer-editorial, and we took it to our lawyer, and guess what: It IS a breach of marketing laws that they posted that you need the X-mas pack in order to get the Hardcore Mode and then later making it available for everyone. I will pay the 160 points for the HC mode and resume normal consumerism, only if I get some form om compensation for the december-pack, which I now have a certified lawyers word on, is in fact a gross example of false advertising. I'll keep ya'll posted :)
  9. This is indeed a greatlooking place. Should fill in nicely. Good job mate.
  10. I'll take the Zagato, but let's try and see if we can get the connection to work first sometime this week :)
