  1. My word ring rings true, and i guess that we shall be 1.000 by the 24th of september. I got it right once ;)
  2. Yeah Pheralas. One track and 24 cars. No customization. I had expected nothing from the AI cars. We got a little more.
  3. Damage is only cosmetical. No changes in feel or performance no matter how dinged up the car gets. AI cars are somewhat intelligent. They will try to avoid a collision, but they will also fight for the line in tight corners.
  4. Track. Mugello as has already been listed here. Course is a bit short, with few variations in turns. Nicely done with a bit of elevation difference and a nice long straight. Could have hoped for something else, since the faster cars get around it in 45ish seconds. Car selection. Three classes. C A and R2. Eight cars in both. Still no inside car view, but more options on where you want rather than fake interior, bumper or chase. Nice sensation of speeds. It's a teaser demo by miles. Luckily the level of competition is higher than I had feared. It takes more than a monkey throwing feces to get past the finish line in first position. I'm optimistic for the finished game, but the demo could have used either some sort of customization bit or even a split-screen two player mode for longevity. But hey. Less than a month and we'll all meet up XBL.
  5. It was when they built it, but back then it was only being raced periodically. Today you get all sorts racing on the track. Either organized racing or open race-day. Would be no end of crashes and fatalities if it was still part of normal the normal roads down there.
  6. No. The track is no longer used as publically accessible roads. The Nurburg city council owns the track and charges people to pay for the upkeep. However, it is not part of the normal road-grid down there. When you see people wearing helmets, it is because no insurance covers any potential damage, unless you distinctly order and pay for it. Also, a lof of the people driving, are doing so in semi-racing modified cars with rollcages etc. And anyone who has ever sat in a car with a Rollcage, you'll know how much difference a helmet can do. Especially if you're as tall as me. (188 cm) Been away this weekend. Nice to see that I can come here and be updated. :)
  7. Why not take the full step and call it:
  8. Porsche delivers in whatever colour you like, when you buy the topline of cars. You go buy a boxter the range is somewhat smaller.
  9. The car in itself is ugly. Painting it orange and mounting skirts and stuff doesn't improve it at all.
  10. Last time I went to the ring, this guy was there roaring all over the tracks. That car is INSANE!
  11. If memory serves, the 24 Hour Nurburgring is sometime around mid-june. The 1000 km Nurburgring is in september. Meanwhile this is suicidal:
  12. Insane amounts of sillyness going on. Allow me to be the partypooper and point towards the little guy getting chewed up by wolves over there by the sheep. ;)
  13. Packs 1 and 3. the 250 GTO is awesome and the Countach is a classic. Only reason I got the second pack was because Atari lied to us.
  14. Some nice catches out there. Loving the Murcielago. That is one sweet ride. The 599 is not my taste (Never was a huge Ferrari-fan) but it's a good catch. You don't see many of them around. Good to see a lot of Porsches and those Land Rovers crack me up. Wobbly.... Now I need a little help. The included shot has an orange car on approach. Any ideas on what it is?
  15. That one only updates every 10 minutes. The other one does it every minute!
  16. MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!!! WONT SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!! Whoever thought that thing would be a good idea, should be taken out behind the wood-shed and shot.
  17. Wheee. BMW's galore! Celt86. It is free to go there, and if you think there are some sweet cars doing the 'ring, then you really should treat yourself to a trip there, just to see the Parking, which is left of the camera. Man.... There are some sweet cars there.
  18. Nope. Or well... you can choose not to use your box online..... again..... ever
  19. Gotta say, the when Raikkonen managed to overtake Hamilton on the third lap, but overshot the apex and Hamilton took 2nd back by going inside. That literally got me out of my seat. Shouting and everything. What a great race.
  20. may 7th should be interesting. Live MSN would be a huge bonus for them.
  21. Yeah Max. Couldn't be bothered with doing conversions. Will keep it in mind for later.
