  1. Hmm, debatable :cheeky: I'm for a certain amount of censorship because I think children are maturing at too early an age now to the point they won't have that big a difference between the memories of pre-teen years and the actual teen years. I think if you can slow this maturing process from the age of 10-14 slightly it'd benefit the child in question, though there are always exceptions to this.
  2. Being too controlling means they might go looking for things like it elsewhere, and in a more secretive manner. I think being lenient (to a point) but observant will have a similar result to what you want. Though I agree it isn't suitable for 12 year olds.
  3. GTA is similar to comedians like Frankie Boyle though, they're always trying to push the boundaries of what jokes are acceptable, and what jokes are just far enough over the line to be shocking but not get them in too deep a hole. This constant search for more risqué jokes with every release is what makes me think it'd depend on the game, I'd have to release (and play it myself :p) before deciding what age my child should play it at. I agree about every person being different though, but it does come down to the fact games ratings are completely ignored. If there was an improved advisory rating you'd say 12ish? I'd probably go for 14 personally. Though I agree they've already been exposed to games like COD and definitely by 14 a fair amount of both xxx and non-xxx 18+ films- It won't do too much harm to try and slow this rather than throwing more at them.
  4. Too long, cba reading the paragraph below? -> What age would you let your (future) children play GTA? With the next-gen GTAV releases coming soon, I've been discussing with parents at work the whole 'would you let your children play GTA' question which has been discussed since GTA was released. Due to the the main audience on this forum being 16-25, and everyone knowing and almost everyone ignoring the 18+ age limit the game has, I think it'd be interesting to ask those that were brought up with GTA what age they'd allow their child to play GTA from. My parents were always very lenient with it to be honest, I remember playing Doom on the N64. The years GTA were released: - Vice City (2002) - San Andreas (2004) - IV (2008) - V (2013) I can't remember if I got Vice City at the same time as San Andreas, as I'd have been 8-9 when Vice City was released which seems way too young tbh. This isn't necessarily about the games being a bad example, keep in mind the whole 'kids should be kids' and the fact games like GTA can open a child's eyes to maturity long before they need to be. You don't really have to stick to GTA as the main game example either, I remember my mum taking Resident Evil off of me and putting in a draw until 'i was older' Even though I was playing GTA at the time.
  5. I hope the plot doesn't involve any planes, or else it'd be a very bumpy ride with all the turbulence around here.
  6. Hmmm that result is a bit off, totally not an accurate test, I had you down as a papaya factor of 3393C%, making this quiz absolute rubbish.
  7. Yeah but I'd still get the X6 for the whole 'it's pointless but i STILL bought it' stigma it has
  8. So what you're saying is your favourite car is the Cayenne Hybrid S? :cheeky:
  9. He has a point in that if they were in a relationship they'd share cars anyway... don't make it into something it isn't milli haha :p I went the opposite way, I gave my partner (almost said GF ) a car i'd love to drive and steal off of them rather than the other way around :p
  10. Giving yourself a GT3 and your imaginary GF a 1.4 A3 is :fp: Very male, and you're more than alright in doing so, it's just funny is all :p Good list, if a tad German :p You got the GT3 you wanted. That E class is  Amazing colour/spec.
  11. 'My daddy was NOT nice to me' Best part. I'll admit even though I'm very much on the fence regarding this whole next-gen GTA thing, as I think it's a bit too little too late for GTAV, the trailers always work in getting me to want to play the game, though that trailer didn't make me necessarily care with version I was playing, it's just more of the same really.
  12. Would Char's insurance still cost the most d'ya think?, or should it?, would probably be a better question  Love the DBS but don't like the light silver colour, on almost any cars tbh, it's a bit dull, even on a gorgeous aston.
  13. The S63 would be a bit of an odd choice for a track car :p Power ain't everything. As a car you'd drive everyday and once in a while to a circuit to hoon, sure, but as a dedicated track car :susp:
  14. True, but at the same time this is the case on almost every brand new car nowadays, in Britain anyway. Doesn't matter how big or luxurious, unless there's a really amazing finance deal on a brand new car or something along those lines, people are quite silly if they buy a brand new car. That CL you just posted is SO MUCH BETTER, worlds ahead of the other one.
  15. The RRS has that whole 'if you were in a Rolls royce ghost at traffic lights and a RR phantom pulled up you'd feel envious' thing about it. The full fat RR is the RR to be in imo. That and other than the SVR RRS, I don't like the rear bumper of the RRS, it just looks... unfinished, like most evoque bumpers other than the top spec ones, but you'll see many more top spec evoques around than you do top spec RRS' and that's why I don't mark the evoque down for it. And i'd have chosen the boxter s if I could in my budget, but If I went for a boxter S i could afford it would have been one before the facelift, and i'd rather sacrifice the power for the more modern car... stupid I know.
  16. All that CL needs is darker windows and nicer rims and it'd look like a 60-70k car, not a 40k car. That colour silver doesn't do it much justice though.
  17. Abarth link fixed, the h was missing off of Http. :) I like the rims of the RR and I don't usually like anything that is remotely aftermarket in its appearance (the irony and the hypocrisy of saying that after choosing an abarth 500, i know). I think they go well with the range rover in that colour but wouldn't with most other colour schemes. I didn't like the RR rims when I first started seeing them on the road but now I love them.
  18. Exactly. I probably but too much thought into it though  I chose the SUV as a day to day as it's more luxurious than the rest, more modern, and I'd do a lot of long distances if I had a car. I chose the Estate as well, the RS6 should only come in avant form really  The little hot hatch compliments the rest great I think, something not very pretentious even if it is quite 'look at me'. The convertible was chosen because of how much I love hot weather :p If I lived somewhere that didn't see much sun I'd probably have chosen the cayman as a weekend car (though i'd have had to have had the previous gen for that price i reckon).
  19. My Car: 2013 Range Rover TDV6 Vogue = £64,895 My Partner's Car: 2008 Audi RS6 Avant V10 = £36,950 My Weekend Car: 2012 Porsche Boxster = £34,500 My Trackday Car: 2009 Fiat 500 ABARTH = £8,495 = £145,840. The spare money would almost immediately go on whatever breaks on the RR before I get home. I think i got a fair amount of car for my money. --- Post Updated --- M5, AMG Merc, Ferrari. I gave you way too much money :cheeky: Awesome list!
  20. Yah that was the intention, to get a good level of car but not some ferrari enzo or 2015 mercedes AMG, so some thought has to be put into it. I like your cheaper versions, but it's a pity you've done them now as I had planned on doing this next week with a different price bracket :p
  21. Nice Jag but they're my least favourite rims for the F-type, i'd probably spend the 15k swapping them for some other jag manufacturer rims, you all know my views on aftermarket parts :p, but you'd be able to sell the current ones and get a fair bit too. An F-Type R and an M4 and people are complaining I didn't give them enough to play around with :susp: One is not amused.
  22. Much better choice imo, so much want for that, though after spotting the Jenson in the background of the pics, I'd rather have that haha I'll wait for (hopefully) others to post their lists before I post mine.
