  1. Hmmm, why didn't you buy the console first may I ask? :p
  2. I agree with Evo's Catchpole about the Lambo probably looking a lot better in the flesh as you can see the proportions a bit better. It certainly looks better in the video than in the pictures, the hexagons are a cool idea. Thanks for adding to the thread Merc! :D The more technical the C63 gets the less cool it gets imo, the old brutish V8 was supercool due to its thug like muscle behaviour, I hope some of this carries through.
  3. I agree about things being released prior to a Car show. It invalidates the whole point for those that aren't actually going to the show. People use the argument that we only ever really see renders before a car show, but if the real thing is worth seeing that much over a render then the render is misleading surely? This is a habit i'm hating at the moment. I hope people use this thread >.< I've done some in the past that went down well, though I guess like you said, car shows aren't as exciting anymore.
  4. Hola! Thought I'd make a thread for the Paris Motor Show as I'm sure we'll have some good talking points between now and Friday. I was originally going to label this thread PMS 2014, but that would imply I either have bladder issues or pre menstrual tension (which many of you would agree with). K. So here is what we've had so far, feel free too add in a similar format as cars get released as I'm not home from work till late: VW XL1 Sport: 0-60: 5-6 seconds Top speed: 168mph POWAAHHH: 200hp Ducati engine MPG: still lightweight so should be fairly good, though I haven't seen a figure yet If it were on the TG coolwall: Perhaps just over the line into cool simply due to it having a ducati engine and revving to 11,000rpm. My opinion of the original XL1 was that it seemed like an amazing piece of technology when it was first thought of, but as soon as vehicles such as the Tesla Model S came out, it's importance faded somewhat. However at least its part of VW so the technology will be passed down to a number of tediously boring cars. Lamborghini Asterion LP910-4: 0-60: 3ish Seconds Top speed: 198mph POWAAHHH: 610hp V10  + 300hp electric motor MPG: 57mph If it were on the TG coolwall: To me, probably just a bit uncool, because it's a dull looking lambo. They've gone a bit of a different way to the other 3 hypercars by the looks of it, more of a Jalpa replacement and Grand Tourer than outright track beast. Which kind of makes it fairly different to the others, its cabin looks comfortable. Audi TT Sportback Concept : 0-60: 3.9 seconds Top speed: Dunno POWAAHHH: 2.0-liter TFSI, 400 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. MPG: Dunno If it were on the TG coolwall: Uncool. Another VW niche filled, next to the A3 Sedan, A5 Sportback, A6, A7 Sportback, A8, A9 Sportback, A10, A11 Sportback, A12, A13 Sportback. I think this is one sedan too many, hence the uncool. The Audi TT has always been a bit more brokeback than sportback, but it appears that has changed. The performance figures are great, but to me it just screams VW being a bit boring and expanding their line-up unnecessarily in boring ways, nothing to get excited about imo. Kia Sorento 0-60: 9 seconds Top speed: 125mph POWAAHHH: 200hp CRDI MPG: To be announced If it were on the TG coolwall: Seriously Uncool. I'd say the previous Sorento might have been better, but this one is just too boring. The issue I think is that Kia have improved their designs a fair amount, however so have Hyundai etc, meaning they still all look similar and a bit boring because of that. I do like the brave colour for such a family car. I hope to see more colours like this on the road. Jaguar XE I'm giving the figures for the base version as thats the one being unveiled, we've seen the XE-S for months if not almost a year now I think. 0-60: 8.2 seconds POWAAHHH: 161hp diesel Price: £29,775 MPG: 75 If it were on the TG coolwall: Unsure. I'd verge on saying cool as it's a good alternative the usual boring german exec saloons. That level MPG figure on a british (i guess) made engine is quite surprising as british companies are quite small and it takes a lot of funding to make such progress. I hope it works out well for Jag as I always have a soft spot for them. This bottom spec car does seem quite dull looking though, but as does a bottom spec 3-series etc. I'll update this tomorrow as I expect much more news than today. 5. Those photos tend to give it a more Alfa 4C/Elise kind of proportion, but some people have tried to get it from a better perspective and it probably has the space for the hypercar kind of engine maybe. The issue for Lambo is that they often rely on their looks and craziness to overlook any shortcomings performance wise in comparison to the competition. Its potential competition for the hypercar market already have insane looking cars and the leaked picture looks a bit toned down, especially for lambo.
  6. Rumours going around about exactly what cars this car is gunning for (P1/918/LaFiat) It'd be embarrassing if it fell short of the mark after they've had a fair bit of extra time to develop the car.
  7. There's something very Alfa 4C about it imo. If it is basically a lambo alfa 4C/elise kind of car, how awesome would that be, but alas with the rumoured.... ... we'll just have to wait (probably for more leaks) and see.
  8. Better quality scanned image of the lambo (supposedly) than the one tom posted:
  9. Sounds even better than it looks too. Even more of a head turner than a gallardo, I don't know how they keep doing it. I'd say this is more stunning than a Gallardo but a Gallardo is prettier.
  10. Agreed, and it was one of those games that you didn't want to pick up again after completing. So much potential though. The developers behind Assassins creed would have known exactly what to do with the game and plot imo.
  11. Yeah but at the same time, you could tell there were some talented people behind the scenes and the initial storyline and plot was there to be improved. I think a sequel would have ironed these issues, especially the repetitiveness, out.
  12. Also special mention to LA: Noire. Shame that it never had the chance to thrive as a series.
  13. To be honest I could have gone on a fair bit and included some older games. Super Mario 64, Star Fox and Goldeneye for the N64 were all up there but I only had 12 spaces.
  14. In no particular order, and probably not even 12 as I have an awful memory, doubt I'll remember 12 games: 1. GTA IV: Mainly due to how much I loved the online and even the offline world was just so immense that it kept me coming back so long after I'd completed the game, I don't find the same with GTA V as much. 2. The Sims 3: Was just an awesome game, and an easy way to waste school holidays doing absolutely nothing haha. 3. TDU: Groundbreaking game. Got introduced to it by a friend at school, he described the game and it sounded like what my perfect car game should be, I bought it and it was. It has some negatives though, it was the game that introduced me to you lot :leaves: 4. Forza Motorsport 2: I've never been a big fan of track based games, but FM2 just entertained me more than any GT or FM1 ever had. 5. Battlestations Midway: A bit of a small title, not very well known but I loved the game and spent hours redoing the missions. I was extremely good at the game online, probably the only game on which i could 'pwn noobs'. 6. Ace Combat: Fires of Liberation: I think this game should be looked at and be a legend in how to bring a storyline into a game but not let the storyline take up too much time or distract from where the enjoyment in playing the game is found. 7. GTA San Andreas: The huge map, and I also got the PS2 slimline just for the game  but still some great memories. 8. Mario Party for the wii: Some great drunken times spent playing this at house parties with friends, I get a bit competitive though. 9. Flight Sim X: I loved this game so much, but it was always a game that you needed to add to/modify and my computer at the time was too basic to put up with it. 10. Need for Speed Underground 2: I loved how much you could modify the cars on the game, I don't know if I'd be as amazed by the modification levels now as maybe things have moved on, but at the time it seemed groundbreaking. 11. The Fable series: Probably in my top 3, I loved the superhero power element they brought into the game. 12. Assassins Creed series: The amount of detail put into this game is spectacular, I'll admit the last few games haven't had the same feeling for me but they're still amazing games. The first few games just gave me a great feeling, like when you're in the Colosseum, the history along with the magic storyline is great. I definitely need to play the latest game as soon as possible. Special Mention: Star Wars Battlefront 2, Red Dead Redemption, The Godfather.
  15. I find it weird that it's the 12-C? The other car being the 458 Speciale, which is the 650S' main rival and the one that it gets compared to the most. And obviously the 650S being more modern than the 12-C too. :hmmm: It stinks of compromise, meh.
  16. 48" shouldn't be toooo big. Yeah the sound on them things is pretty good, flatscreens went through a stage of suffering sound-wise due to how thin they were getting. It seems to be on the up again though.
  17. I was thinking that too. It'd be great if there was an Alfa 4C size lambo :hmmm:
  18. Some top spec transporters can look pretty cool, but I think the 159 is definitely a good decision. Where abouts in france?
  19. Brit plates though tim? Are you back from the UAE now? Going to miss the Edge or is it already long gone?
  20. Me. It's not as of Evos were reknown for their interior design or build quality.
