  1. Yep, we even have bronze taxis. Not really bronze. Salmon mixed with bronze. And yes, when it turned the corner it went for it. Didn't change up though, just a short squirt. :)
  2. Criss: Looks good! Can't wait for your star trails! :) Untitled by MARK1992-, on Flickr
  3. Quite a heavy crop - http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s286/MARKWONG_1992/_MG_7941e.jpg Pardon the rather poor composition, was standing on the edge of a busy street and had to use 18 millimeter. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s286/MARKWONG_1992/_MG_7955e.jpg
  4. Thank you Tom! :) The one I'm using is actually, rather crap. Gets the job done, but I dare not show it to other photographers. :p Thank you! :) I love them too. It's feels like a video game. Rather surreal. :) I'm particularly proud of this one. I'm usually against the "overdone HDR" look, and some said that it was. But I don't know why I just love it. :) HDR Attempt 3.0.0.2. by MARK1992-, on Flickr Thanks Tom! :D They aren't swallowed in shadow because it's a HDR of 9 bracketed shots :p Although it's a bit hard to tell when the barks of the trees are pitch black. :( Hehehe thank you and thanks for the rep! :) You're completely mistaken! New York has one of the best street shooting opportunities! One can imagine a businessman in a trench coat, with Starbucks in his right hand, talking on his cellphone on the other, with the daily newspaper tucked under his arm. Yellow taxis whizzing past behind him. I'd LOVE to be plonked right in the middle of Times Square, with a Leica M9 and a 50mm Summicron. :D Unless that's not your thing, then, I understand. --------------- Untitled by MARK1992-, on Flickr Untitled by MARK1992-, on Flickr
  5. Thank you! :) And yes, yours looked quite intentional, hence I asked. :)
  6. Lambo Llama: WOW. Simply spectacular! SBCriss: Very very nice too! Was the slanted horizon intended? :) Untitled by MARK1992-, on Flickr Untitled by MARK1992-, on Flickr
  7. I've gone from someone who just didn't believe in religion, to someone who hates that stuff and actively goes against it. I am in no way insulting Christianity and / or it's believers, but the Christians here, they way they force their ideology and beliefs down one's throat, it gets very annoying. Can you imagine you're strolling outside Harrods and, "Could I have a minute to tell you about our marvelous God?"
  8. Aston Martin DBS Volante and uhm, Insignia VXR?
  9. I do often think about it. Is that cat just waiting for his turn to be human? Am I just waiting to be something greater? Perhaps, lesser? Why does anything and everything exist? So many questions out there which I too, spend my time dwelling on.

  11. Hehehe I wish you did too. It's thoroughly lovely. :)
  12. While we're panning, http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s286/MARKWONG_1992/_MG_7641.jpg?t=1294877918
  13. Does look like he's going for a U-Turn actually.
  14. 250 quid for worse performance IMHO. Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens - Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens Comparison - ISO 12233 Resolution Chart Results Mouse-over for the 18-55 IS. Even stopped down to f/5.6, the 17-85 is so much softer than the 18-55. Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens - Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens Comparison - ISO 12233 Resolution Chart Results I love the 18-55 IS really. It's cheap and excellent. The only upgrade I'll make is either the Tamron 17-50 or the EF-S 17-55 IS USM or the EF-S 15-85 IS USM. I'll take a pass on the 17-85.
  15. I'd politely, but firmly disagree. The 17-85 is woefully soft. Only advantage it has over the 18-55 is its extended zoom range and USM for focusing. Optically, the 18-55 known to be superior.
  16. Rather lovely self-portrait Martijn. :) Welcome back! :D
  17. Take this as constructive and in a good hearted manner alright? :) I think you're using HDR imaging for the wrong reasons. Landscape photographers need to capture the extreme dynamic range between, for example, a cavern and the sky. Your pictures don't really require HDR processing in my opinion, they could use slightly more interesting perspective and perhaps slightly better colours. I think you were trying to achieve the psychedelic, surreal effect, which I understand. It might suit some, but like the others, it just isn't my cup of tea. If it isn't what your eye sees, it's probably overdone. That's what I keep reminding myself when I map HDR images. All the best with your next batch! :)
  18. Fair enough. I too, sometimes am curious to the point of ridiculousness. :D
  19. You really do have something for number plates, don't ya? :p I remember you asking me about our plates too. :D
