  1. Couple of flaws with your argument there: I haven't read that article, but I'm pretty sure they like the CTS-V more than the other two because it's a better performance car, and it's more value for money, not because it was better built. Also, while the Phantom uses some BMW running gear (mainly the engine), that bit about it being a re-dressed BMW is stretching it. As far as I know, the Phantom rides on a bespoke chassis, handmade at their factory in Goodwood, West Sussex, England
  2. Now why hasn't anyone done something like this before?
  3. Yeah, the '90s were pretty good... Dodge Viper GTS Vauxhall Lotus Carlton Jaguar XJ220 BMW M5 E34 and E39 McLaren F1 Lambo Diablo SV Ferrari F50 Nissan Skyline GT-R R23, R33, R34 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Mazda MX-5
  4. With all due respect, YES, or i'll shove it down your throat! :p
  5. Well the engineering is one thing, but where on earth do they fit in BMW's model line-up?? The 5GT is basically a cross between the 5-series estate and X5 and X6, but with neither the practicality of the estate or perceived off-road ability of the X models. What point does it serve?
  6. Ah, so this is the final result of that Toyobaru sports car Autocar were banging on about... http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/Subaru-Concepts/232133/ Looks alright I guess. I don't quite like the rear bootlid area (they should've just made it a fastback), and the rear bumper bulges out too much. But I do love all those creases and angles, particularly that slash just below the headlights. Also, is it just me, or does that front end have hints of Nissan 370Z about it?
  7. Same. What's not to like about a sports car engine and chassis with huge load areas? Besides, pickup-trucks are manly...
  8. Plus, not everyone can stretch to an M5...
  9. Same... Plus, I think i'm gonna fail econs :(
  10. I'm actually quite surprised at the extent of your injuries, considering the time, as well as how mild the damage on the cars looked... Anyway, I've been involved in a car crash before, but thankfully a minor one. Basically, there'd been another minor fender-bender on the expressway on the way to school, and, as is usually the case, traffic was slow moving due to rubber-neckers. Anyway, that accident occured on lane 1 (the fast lane), and most people were filtering out of that lane to go around the cars. Unfortunately though, we were in a rush, and my dad, not knowing there was an accident, took advantage of the (momentary) break in traffic and accelerated, realising too late that the car in front wasn't moving... Ironically, the car we hit (a Volvo S80), was waiting just behind the cars involved in the previous accident, and thus there were two separate fender-benders just behind each other <facepalm> Our Mazda 323: http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Dad.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Image000.jpg The Volvo we hit: http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Image002.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Image003.jpg Happily, the car was still driveable (albeit with a broken turning indicator), so we continued to use it until we checked it in to a body-shop
  11. Ouch. Glad you're out of danger now. This really is a big deterrent to all us young hot-shots about to get our licences... Let this be a reminder to us all to drive safely on the roads, and do our speeding only on the track! :)
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5xww15ywsE I personally laughed till I cried and my throat went sore :rofl2: (I think this smiley basically sums up what I was like when I saw it)
  13. Answers 1, 2, 4 and 7 answered correctly 3. Just a stab, but Simon Cowell? 5. Perry McCarthy 6. Can't rmb
  14. Oh that bit? Yeah I did manage to find that little gap in the fences, but what I meant was that there's fencing all around the rest of the track...
  15. No, next to the Picanto. And no, it's not an Abarth, just a regular Punto with Abarth decals. Sadly we don't have any of the Abarth models over here yet. I'm not even sure if they're coming at all...
  16. You, sir, would appear to be wrong... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Hammond#Vampire_dragster_crash ^_^
  17. Like I said, I do question the plausibility of some of them...
  18. What a completely stupid and pointless law. This is very, very unfair to all owners involved. Not all of them would have known that the car they're driving was imported illegally, particularly in the case of 2nd-hand owners. Now that they confiscate the cars, what next? You can't just take things worth five-figures from people. And don't the feds have better things to do, like taking down wanted criminal gangs and syndicates, instead of taking away the public's cars?
  19. You missed out a comma. It's "I was being sarcastic, people!"
  20. My dad used to play IL2 Sturmovik, and still has it. As I recall it was pretty good. Graphics were decent, and gameplay was fairly realistic. The only criticism was that it was pretty repetitive. Get it only if you're really into flying sims
  21. Some Porsche Carrera Cup shots: http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Singapore%20F1%202009/_MG_1942edit.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Singapore%20F1%202009/_MG_1943edit1.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Singapore%20F1%202009/_MG_1980edit.jpg
