  1. Being able to swap around some rims and sounds really does NOT make up for the lack of cars / any kind of after-sales support whatsoever from those spineless cut-n-run cheapskates.
  2. I know what rims those are carfreak! Caterham R500! :p Here you go KTF http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080209225404.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080209211842.jpg
  3. I got the Skyline sounds from there. They suck just as much as the original. Hell, I think they are the orignal.
  4. I found some nice Brabus wheels in the Mercedes folder itself. Called BRAB5, they're 398kb, so they fit on the SLR! I also replaced the AMG10 wheel with them, that means I have Brabus wheels on my SL 65 too, and my tuned SLK 55.:D I replaced the SLR's 2nd wheel (the 5-spoke one) with these. SLR with Brabus wheels, lovely. http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080220173117.jpg I also use the Spyker sounds on it, they suit it so well.
  5. Yes, but I think they look nice on the DB9... Anyway, lookie here. http://www.tdu-france.com/addons-mods-f17/tuning-car-center-t1567.htm They seem to have done some interesting stuff, I haven't put the page through a translator yet, but look! They've modified the wheel textures to make them black!
  6. I used to have Eleanor rims (AC 427) but I got bored of them. :p This is what I have now. Ford Must_GT_F_02 http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080209230048.jpg Also, for some strange reason the Aston V8 Vantage uses file number 2. File number 1 for the V8 Vantage fits on the DB9 nicely. http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080209224009.jpg
  7. Alright for some, eh? Well, I start a nice part time job tomorrow. Monies! Well, extra monies on top of the student loan!
  8. Randy, try the other Brabus rims, they work. It's only one that doesn't Anyway, in the Chevrolet folder I found a file called Corv_71. It's a bigger file than the Corv_69, so it doesn't fit on that, but I put them on the Camaro. They're much like the '69 'Vette's wheels, but the holes are modeled in, instead of just painted on. http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080211143526.jpg They're staying on my Camaro.:D Here's the '69 'Vette with the wheels from the Mclaren F1 GT (or LM) I can't remember, lol. I actually have the same wheels on my XJ220 too. http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080211173220.jpg
  9. I know I know, but it's only just audible, compared to most other cars. Maybe just a smidgen louder.
  10. Yeah, the skyline sounds are bugged between 5-6k rpm when accelerating. Also, could you make them a teeny bit louder please? They're just loud enough, better than the original anyway, because I can actually hear it, but even louder would be nice,
  11. The Camaro has the standard rims, but the GT500 has the Ford MUST_GT_F_02 wheels. But anyway, put the Corv_69 sounds on the Shelby GT500. It's so awesome. It sounds demonic, like it's about to rip your head off.
  12. I had a eureka moment earlier. I put the Corv_69 sounds onto the Shelby GT500. Pure sex. I spent nearly an hour driving round corners sideways while listening to White Zombie. :D Also took a couple of nice photos of my GT500 and my Camaro. I painted them both black while listening to White Zombie, too. :p http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080209214726.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080209212528.jpg http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/TDU%20Pics/20080209211842.jpg I know it's a discussion about sound, not pictures, but :p
  13. These sound mods are really good, I love caning the Gallardo through tunnels! Randy, with the V8 Vantage, I've put the Esprit sounds on it, they're the same sounds, but louder. At best a temporary solution, but... meh. Also, the SLR. I found the sounds which suit it best are the Spyker's. This makes it sound simply awesome, and it has the proper SLR / Spitfire sounds.
  14. I wasn't racing, but I saw something pretty funny today... An Audi TT overtook my stage 3 Saleen S7... I must've been doing about 220mph+ and this little red TT just sailed past me, most hilarious thing I've ever seen. I have instant challenges switched off too. His / Her / Its name was eeeeer (not sure if I got the right amount of e's lol).
  15. The sound switching is offline only, same as the rims. Well, clientside only, as in you'll be the only one who notices it. Also, with the sound switching, try to match the revs. If you put the 300C sounds on the RS4 (as I've tried) the sounds run out of revs before the engine does, so you end up with a flat note for about the last 2,000rpm of the rev range. Oh, and thanks for the warm welcomes.:D Also, another thing I've noticed with the rims is that the sizes of the rim/tyre on each car seem to be specified somewhere else. If you change the rim model, it just changes the style of the rim, but it doesn't change the size of the rim or the tyre.
  16. The compatibility of the rims is all to do with the file sizes, I mean in KB. You cannot replace a car's rims with a file which is bigger than the original, you can, however, replace it with a file smaller than or equal in size to the original. At the moment I have the Caterham R500's rims on the Corvette Stingray '69. Sounds like an odd choice I know, but they're just simple 8 spoke wheels which really suit the lines of the Stingray. The Caterham R500 isn't currently in the game, but its rims are there. The file-size theory also applies to the sounds. I've got the Audi A6 sounds replacing the Audi RS4's sounds, this just makes it sound a little beefier and a little louder. I also have the Noble M12's sounds on the Saleen S7, it sounds just the same, but it's considerably louder, so you can actually hear it. Well, it has a different horn now, lol. Hope this helped. EDIT: Here's a pic of my Stingray with the R500 wheels! http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z245/matt88sco/20070826194413.jpg
