    If you already have XP then it's good, works faster with 2gb RAM, and there's no point spending the huge amount of money on Vista. But if you are having to buy a new copy anyway then get Vista, because it's hard to buy XP, and Vista will be supported for longer.

    Ah okay. They copied it from DEC Alpha anyway, not AMD :p And while DEC Alpha chips were innovative, optimisation of code for their architecture was the cause of a number of troubles during my PhD so I don't think of them very kindly :p

    Oh yay, another console vs PC war thread :D Yes, piracy occurs on console too, but it isn't a major problem - console games are still market viable. PC games are not really because the piracy is so much more of a problem. Anyway, there's no real need to have one be better than the other - they both have their uses and you just pick the one that's right for your needs.

    Actually, it is still really fast. You have to have a servers workload to even notice the difference slightly. Yes, but AMDs one was really slow. What's the point of being 'true' quad core (actually, native is more accurate) if you're so much slower than the non-native ones?

    But only in some tasks. You can't really go wrong whatever you choose - since Phenom II AMD now have a chip/system that's perfectly competitive at the same price points. So whoever called me an Intel fanboy can take that back :p Right now, at the right price points, I'd go with Phenom II, at least until Intel drop penryn prices.

    It beats the i7 920 in some tasks, certainly. But overall it's a bit slower, albeit a lot cheaper.

    The jews are a people. But they're not better or worse than other people, so when everyone agreed that they should have their own homeland (in sympathy for the holocaust) then they should stick with that gift, not try and expand and deny other people their rightful lands as well. Ultimately both jews and palestinians need to respect each other and each others right to land. Israel isn't doing that, and neither are the palestinians. But Israel has the choice - they can lead by example and show that they are above petty violence, but they chose instead to go down to the level of militants rather than be a civilised nation. It's all very sad.

    I would change the graphics card - the 9600GT will run TDU fine, but you'll struggle at higher resolutions or if you want to turn on some of the fancy effects or image quality enhancers. Something like an ATI HD4850 would be a better choice.

    I disagree! My first car was also my dream - a mk2 golf GTI :D (It was very cheap!) But I agree with the comments that a body kit Cappucino is a terrible choice of 'dream car' in the first place - in a car that under-powered you need to save as much weight as possible. A non-modded one would be fine, though an MX5 is probably better all-round, and mk1s are really really cheap.

    This. Might just be overheating, so check the fan is clear of dust and still turns etc. but it looks like the damage to your video card might already have been done.

    Bethesda don't do demo's for games these days as they prefer to put the work into making the proper game even better. There are plenty of thorough reviews for fallout 3 if you need to get some information about it before playing it though.
