  1. [James May voice:] Hello,

one thing i would really *love* to have in TDU2 is the possibility to do the single player races with cars of a lower class. E.g. do a A1 race, with class A2 or lower. The same way it was possible (for most of the races) in TDU1.

Anyway, my thanks to Xarlith and the whole TDU2:UP Team for this wonderful mod. I appreciate your work.

  2. tomsolo,

thanks for all these, well, features.

Question: Is it possible to change the avatar's appearance (e.g. by using the "Clothe Pack") ? I'd like to replace my avatar's head from MAN_HEAD_ASIAN to MAN_HEAD_OCC. I tried, but i could not get it working. Is it basically possible?

    Thank you in advance.

  3. OK, found the template for the RUF RGT on your site. It does not have a 4x4 pixel coloured square. To check whether there is actually a spot that controls the colour of the rear wing, i created a single-colored DDS file and used TexMod to apply it to the car. The car was colored all over (as expected), but the rear wing still remained black.

It seems the rear wing of the RUF RGT can't be painted. At least not without unbinning TDU2.

However, as far i could see in your templates it is possible with, for example, the Tricolore. I may use that some day. Again, thanks Nobby, for the still very useful insight.

Also thanks for making all those templates. Must have been some work.

  4. Thanks for the extensive reply. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but i think you misunderstood my question. This is not about painting/stickering the unpaintable cars. I know how to do that.

It is about painting/stickering certain car parts which normally can't be painted or stickered. For example the rear wing on the RUF RGT. Or some of the parts on the Tricolore or Cinque.

  5. - Improved handling/Hardcore mode 2.0 option

    - Improved sound effects (more precise: the engine sounds)

    - More cars and bikes etc.

    - Proper Wheel/Clutch support (more precise: proper force feedback)

    - Strike cheaters/hackers hard

    Additionally:

    - Option "Collision off" for club races

    - Fix multiple profile casino bug

    - Option to paint/sticker ALL cars

  6. ... Biggest is the fact that I have to turn the wheel on my momo racing setup nearly a quarter turn before the car starts turning. I tried changing the sensitivity setting and that made no difference. ...

Sensitivity is increased by moving the slider to the LEFT (as in: NOT to the right). And yes, this behaviour is wrong, inapprehensible, irritating, stupid, ridiculous ... whatever. ;)

  7. In the TDU2 clubs, "Vorstand" is the german word for "Executive". Have no idea why it is sent to you in German, though.

Anyway, i often get "delayed" messages form my club. Get promoted or demoted and receive the corresponding message sometimes hours or even days later. Might be the same in your case.

  8. If this mod works, it has great potential. Next step, sometime in the future maybe, would be to drive somewhere, get out of the car and walk around.

Good job and +rep just for trying to mod this.

One does not simplely walk in to Ibiza.

Now, what's that supposed to mean?

  9. Same here.

I think it happens when the game joins players into sessions. And, i THINK it might be a necessary measure to synchronize the environment of the concerned players.

If this were a real MOOR (in a sense of "massive"), this wouldn't be necessary. But it simply isn't.

Anyway, not a big deal to me. As we all know there are other known issues, worse than that.

  10. Same thing happened to me and others a few times in TDU1. Probably just the servers being confused or something. Nothing to worry about.

Confirmed. Happened to me too several times in TDU1. In TDU2 it's even worse: Saw an avatar recently, wearing exactly the same clothes as mine. Coincidence?

  11. I was hunting the last roads In Tdu(1) ... when a couple shorter in-between roads (2-3?) around me suddenly got filled up and I got 100%.

This lead me to believe there's an island-wide fill-up of small missed parts within a certain tolerance in the finish, and I recall thinking "I should have been less thorough because of it".

(I'd really like for someone to confirm a likewise event).

Confirmed. That's exactly identical to my experience in TDU1. I have four TDU1 profiles with almost all achievements, meaning i discovered all roads four times. In TDU1 i think you only had to come very close to 100% to achieve the 100%, whereas in TDU2 you really need to discover them all.
