  1. Why are they only getting hold of it now, or is this a marketing thing whereby Atari have acquired the service of these promoting the game now that the carlist is out.
  2. Yeah that's why I never mentioned it in the 3 I mentioned. You know? :D
  3. Wait what is this and what's an E7?
  4. That's not right, I mean come on; an F430 Scuderia and the F430 Scuderia Spider 16M are 2 different cars. You can't label them 1 model just because they share the same sort of design. The Veyron's apart from the 16.4, Grand Sport and Super Sport are 3 definite different model types even if they do share similarities with each other. Pick definite examples sure like the 599GTB and the China Edition but don't try and blur others that definitely are of their own.
  5. To circuit based racers yes not to freeroam, street racing titles especially with civilian traffic that can be hit. Perhaps the Ferrari license only goes so far or you have to pick and mix, who knows but yeah seeing the F355 in a game would be sweet as it's such a beautiful car.
  6. If they don't have them in real life they don't have them in the game iirc. I'll pose the question if I get the chance or a certain meerkat shows himself.
  7. Yeah I know I was just saying that when people say "GT5 has 1000 cars", it isn't actually true.
  8. GT doesn't have 1000 cars though, it has 231(+/-) I think that are actual GT5 cars. Going to add a poll see what people think of this.
  9. I would think they would be hating what they would be reading if so. And not just here, all over, the community isn't exactly ecstatic with this list as it stands, neither are comments on the game sites and such. I imagine twitter messages aren't exactly flattering and complimentary either. I just can't fathom the decisions that are made sometimes, and of course I know it's business and the aim is to make money but how can you make money when the decisions being made are horribly received and are more than likely to lose sales than create them. Is there something in the business handbook that says to keep your business going have great ideas but make horrible decisions?
  10. Wow today is just full of great news. Despite what I had to do today I figured hey at least the list may come and even though there are some great cars amongst it, I'm disappointed with it slightly. Of course the lack of Lamborghini should be a given being it's my ultimate favourite, but also in that (and I hope I'm wrong here) perhaps the suits at Atari are still the same suits that have been screwing Atari titles for a while now. They seem to think for some reason that possibly selling a million and then milking with DLC afterwards where say 10-20% will buy is better than packaging a superbly filled day 1 package which could sell 2,3million+ and then work on DLC afterwards showing dedicated support for the title and also a little bit of respect to the community and the playerbase. Will I still buy it? Yeah to support Eden mainly and note that I'm not blaming Atari as a whole for my opinion (and I may edit this when I'm in a cheerier mood) as those from Atari who have a presence that can be seen are brilliant and so are Eden but it's just a shame that even 5-6 years later we are still seeing the same things occurring and even though lessons have learned and god have they been learned, there is still that dense lacking of understanding from those who actually make the main decisions in the end. Play nice.

  16. The wraparound jacket band on the fifth volume of Yû Tachibana and Toshihiko Tsukiji's Kämpfer manga has announced that a new anime will air on the Japanese television station TBS in March of 2011. The jacket band's text does not specify if the new anime is a series or not. A "new Kämpfer project launch" had been announced at the TBS Anime Festa event in Tokyo in August. The official blog and Twitter account of the editorial staff at Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine had then revealed that details of the new project would be announced in the fifth manga volume. The booth of the companies involved in the project will present a promotional video at the Winter Comic Market event (December 29-31) at the Tokyo Big Sight event complex. Source:ANN
  17. The Nippon Academy-Sho Association, a Japanese group roughly comparable to America's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Oscars fame, has announced the recipients of the Awards of Excellence in the 34th Japan Academy Prizes in Tokyo on Friday. The awards honor excellence in motion pictures that premiered in 2010, and will be presented in a ceremony on February 18, 2011. Keiichi Hara and Asention's Colorful, Hiromasa Yonebayashi and Studio Ghibli's Karigurashi no Arrietty, Kôzô Kuzuha and Shinei Animation's Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Ningyo Daikaisen, Yasuichiro Yamamoto and TMS Entertainment's Detective Conan: The Lost Ship in The Sky, and Munehisa Sakai and Toei Animation's One Piece Film Strong World will all receive Awards of Excellence in the Animation category. These five films will next compete to be the sole winner of the Animation of the Year award. Grand Funk Inc. was also honored for its music in Yukihiko Tsutsumi's live-action film adaptation of Harold Sakuishi's Beck manga. Actress Riisa Naka (Zebraman: Zebra City no Gyakshū, animated and live-action The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) and actor Shōhei Miura (The Last Message: Umizaru) received nods in the New Actor category. The Chairman's Special Awards will honor five people in the film industry who passed away in the past year: director Umetsugu Inoue, actress Tanie Kitabayashi, art director Takeo Kimura, actor Keiju Kobayashi, and director Katsumi Nishikawa. The Animation of the Year category was created only four years ago; The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Tekkonkinkreet, Ponyo, and Summer Wars were the previous winners. Before that, Studio Ghibli won the overall Picture of the Year Award for Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. Source:ANN
  18. The Japanese publisher Kodansha began streaming a 45-second promotional video for the special edition of the 26th Fairy Tail manga volume on its YouTube channel on Friday. This special edition will bundle an original anime DVD, which will recreate the manga side story "Yōkoso Fairy Hills!!" (Welcome to Fairy Hills!) In this side story, the Fairy Tail mage guild member Lucy visits the female dormitory Fairy Hills to find a "shining treasure." The volume will ship in Japan on April 15, 2011. [smg id=277 type=av] A new 94-second promotional video for the Dragon Crisis! anime began streaming on Thursday on YouTube . The anime adapts Kaya Kizaki's original light novel series, in which a high school boy named Ryūji is dragged by his cousin Eriko to rescue a girl from black-market dealers. The blue-eyed "girl" turns out to be a dragon who is inexplicably fixated on Ryūji — following him even when he is bathing and sleeping. Ryūji has to protect the girl from the black-market dealers and others. The television series will premiere in Japan this coming January. [smg id=278 type=av] The official website for the anime film trilogy based on the late Osamu Tezuka's Buddha manga is now streaming a full trailer. (In the linked page, select the "映像 -movie-" icon in the top left.) Warner Brothers will release the first film, Tezuka Osamu no Buddha -Akai Sabaku yo! Utsukushiku-, in Japan on May 28, 2011. X Japan performs the ballad "Scarlet Love Song" heard in the trailer. Director Kozo Morishita, screenwriter Reiko Yoshida, and Toei Animation are adapting the life of the young prince Siddhartha, the founder of Buddhism. Sayuri Yoshinaga will voice the mother of a slave boy named Chapra and provide the narration for the work. Masato Sakai and Junko Takeuchi will play Chapra himself in different stages of his life, and Hidetaka Yoshioka and Ai Orikasa will also jointly play Siddhartha. The first film alone has a production budget of 1 billion yen (about US$11 million). The official website for the Doraemon anime films relaunched on Friday with the second trailer for next year's Doraemon: Shin Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan - Habatake Tenshi-tachi film. The new film remakes the 1986 film Doraemon: Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan (Doraemon: Nobita and the Platoon of Iron Men), in which Doraemon's human owner Nobita comes across a giant robot. Yukiyo Teramoto (Doraemon: Nobita no Shin Makai Daibōken - Shichinin no Mahōtsukai, Boku wa Imōto ni Koi o Suru: Secret Sweethearts - Kono Koi wa Himitsu) is directing off a screenplay written by Higashi Shimizu (Crying Freeman, Futari wa Pretty Cure, Kaidan Restaurant). The film will open in Japan on March 5, 2011. --- On Friday, the media company Shogakukan Shueisha Production launched the Gagaga Channel site to stream promotional videos for the light novels in Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint. In particular, the channel is streaming a rudimentarily animated promotional video for Koroku Inumura's 2009 light novel Toaru Hikūshi e no Koiuta and another video for Romeo Tanaka's 2007 light novel Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita. Toaru Hikūshi e no Koiuta is the sequel to Inumura's To Aru Hikūshi e no Tsuioku, a light novel with an anime film in the works from MADHOUSE and TMS Entertainment. [smg id=279 type=av] Source:ANN
