If it's on the official tdu2 site it will more than likely be Atari that's posted that than Lee or NBP. I wonder why it's such a legal issue though as there are no prizes involved and it's not as if you would have to worry about the entrant having any claim to anything of value or royalty due to a clause in terms saying that the name is their name to use as free and recklessly as they want. Then again the US does have a tendency to sue for anything so perhaps this kind of stuff does need to be done now. Over here a simple send in your ideas for a track name in TDU2 and your entry will be chosen for use within the actual game. There is no physical prize for this apart from the name you have entered being used in the actual game itself. Entrants must be X years or older and you also agree that Eden Games and Atari can use your entry name as they so wish and that you have no claim to how or in what way the name you entered is used or utilised within the game Test Drive Unlimited 2.

We need to get B back in here and clear up if he can the situation with BMW and Porsche in general. BMW is no longer exclusive to anyone I'm sure but Porsche may be back under the covers with EA. A member at GTPlanet emailed Porsche and actually got a decent reply: So if EA do still have it then TDU2 has no chance!

Well that trailer was for something else, Lee mentions a couple so I would imagine the one we saw at Eden was new compared to these ones he has seen.

You know something, on my playtest I zoomed past a white van going the opposite way and I double looked it but you know what I think it could have been one and I'm not joking. It would be amazing if it was or if there was just some standard ones scattered about on beaches or something. lol

You are indeed correct that you more than likely aren't the only 1 who doesn't play offline, however I would best that a good 98% do. PC would be different due to all the pirates who are easy to see on youtube and whatnot but for the actual consumer buying the game, they would have an idea from all the media and interviews that the game is Multiplayer first and foremost and then Single Player is the means to accumulate your funds and collection, this was especially evident in TDU as think of the money you could only win online. $10,000 max instant challenge win and winning only the reward amount if you beat the Diner Challenge. Now with TDU2 they are wanting to blend in the Multi and Single Players though to me this equates more to being able to Challenges and such with your mates and thus gather the large amount of funds that you could only do in the Single Player in the previous game. Again I'm not trying to put down those who don't play online but they should go into the game knowing that it is best played and experienced online rather than simply playing it offline. :)

Some people tend to forget that TDU/2 is built along the whole MOOR aspect; this being Massively Open Online Racer. See the key word in their Online. Anyone who has played TDU knows that TDU comes into it's own online and when you play online you meet up and make a ton of mates within this. Is the club thing a good idea, yes and no, is it unfair that some things are only given out online no as that is what the game is all about. TDU/2 is an MMO Racer/Driving/Social Game. It's in it's own league, nothing else comes close to what it provides as of this time. So like it or not TDU/2 is a Multiplayer game with Single Player elements rather than the typical Single Player game with the Multiplayer elements. Other titles that are like this are the Battlefield series, Single Player is crap but the online is the meat of the game experience. [+] To add, I guess it's unfortunate you have an Xbox as getting online is via Live Gold whereas PC and PS3 is free because it's clear you have an internet connection just by being online here. :)

Don't start talking about DLC cars without knowing what the carlist will contain or the game even being out, there's no point.

It does sometimes, you will never see it in effect though because they don't respond to the claimee.

Yes, yesterday was just too hot to do anything to be honest. Much cooler today and will get the final section up during one of the support races on today BTCC raceday.

Originally the list was mentioned to be 18 cars so not sure what's going on there, especially with Mercedes as the Stirling Moss and SLR were confirmed in a mag and BADNED has sort of confirmed another.
