That's just the point, they are swearing aren't they and when you then show it you're doing so publicly for all to see? We're not flagged about it by the board automatically, it's upto you in that respect to inform us then we can see who sent you it and take action if needed. Rep is negative as well as positive so it's quite easy for someone to say something derogatory or insulting and because it won't show who sent it then there's no real fear for them in doing so. However inform us and we can see who exactly sent that rep and caution or suspend them for doing so. Basically we don't automatically know who is swearing via PM or Rep comments unless we are informed about it OR we perform a check looking for such indiscretions and if you're found to be doing so, be assured action will be taken.

Thanks baldy, I have a few car mags and design mags around so inspiration wasn't hard to find, images on the other hand were. :) I'll also see about starting my review in the proposed format stated above.

OCT 07 mag proposal This is what I have ended up with, original was 1200x1000 so that aligning of images (original sized) and text etc can be done easily and then the one you see below is resized to 750x900. 750 wide means those with resolutions of 800x600 (why though who knows!) won't have any issues with scrolling and will be able to read it fine. I do like the idea of 1119x750 also as it gives it an almost Calendar/Annual like look to it. Anyway let me know what you think, was about in total 90mins work. Thanks!

You really need to choose one or the other buddy and stick to that size and that size only. Get some ideas put in and have people test them and see what they think about it then those who wish to work on the mag have their dimensions set and can get to work on their reviews or features. I started work on a mag cover idea last week and will be showing it later tonight, it's not the sizes you've depicted but it can be changed as I'm just playing with ideas right now.

I love my LM, the colour of it can't be reproduced so I wouldn't recommend painting it or if you want to buy 2. :) It's a good car, sounds good with the straight cut gearbox and handles well. Likes to peel out above 5000rpm in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear and will swap ends on you if driven with no aids over a crest or dip at high speed. Fun car, looks amazing and is exclusive, what more could you want. Here's a nice lil image for you. I think it would be a good idea to have a uniformed design for the magazine thus the pages will flow better and it will take you less by surprise when turning pages. Also stick to black text, don't go all colour coded and such, pick a font and stick to it, continuity is always a good thing with publications. :) Just some suggestions is all. I'd like to do a review also but I'm not sure of what, McLaren F1 maybe! :D

Thanks mate, I was planning on adding the winner of the POTW to the header but I'll see what people think about it. Also I was going to have the winning pics rotate so the header would change between the different winners. The old carbon fibre effect background was with the old forum style, may test it and see how it looks but I'm happy with how it's looking so far. I did mention to baldred earlier today that I was going to grayscale the header and have the car the only thing that was in colour and yes it looked really good but I thought seeing as it's the winning picture after all, maybe it should stay that way! If you want to see the grayscale version let me know and I will edit the header so you can have a quick gander. :)

Noticed some image paths were pointing to the wrong place meaning they weren't showing plus the header has changed now to whoever wins the Picture of the Week competition in the PC section. Note you may need to force a refresh (CTRL + F5) to see these new additions.

Sorry to see you go buddy but I have a niggling feeling you will return to TDU in the future as other games seem very limited compared to it, I love Forza 2 but man it got boring quick. I respect the fact you're leaving to try new things out though, variety is good and so is change and of course we'll be here if and when you come back to Hawaii. Hope you do stick around, there's more to do here than just discuss TDU. lol

Myself personally; * The reflections on the front of a Gallardo when in bonnet/hood view, other cars including players, road markings etc are shown very clearly. You can even see the headlights of cars coming towards you. * Driving in a group with road rules and looking behind you and seeing a sight that could easily be out of the Gumball. * Driving through the middle of traffic in a car or bike with only inches to spare at crazy speeds. * Actual dials for the cars/bikes in all views as well as an actual rear view plus amazingly detailed interiors and engines (usually). * While in convertibles, being able to look up at an overhead plane or just look up while driving, very surreal experience when on a long stretch of road and all you see is trees and road signs. * Being blinded by the sunlight when looking behind you then in front again or like myself and baldy had last night, going along a long stretch of road and the sunlight acting almost like a strobelight due to be constantly hidden and reappearing by trees. * The driver views on bikes, amazing sense of speed. * The ability to drive anywhere when you want. There's more I'm sure but these are the main things for me and always make me smile especially. +rep on the thread idea !

Nope, I hate Halo, doesn't interest me at all, all that fantasy shoot em up crap bores me. Plus I've seen the ending and know what happens right at the end of Halo 3 so I don't have to go near it thankfully.

Yep the SSC did it, 257mph and 254mph runs to give a 255mph top speed thus a new record. Typical US design though, no originality and take from everyone else though massive kudos on the speed. Makes me wonder if Bugatti will let the Veyron run to 257 which it has been said to be able to do but limited to 253mph due to the tyres.
