I am aiming for this month but probably closer to the end, depends how my time pans out to be honest. I seem be a tech support monkey for the family lately. I want it to be this month though so we will see what happens.

Yep I'm in the process of coding a script that will monitor downloads and bandwidth so that I don't get flogged by my host.

That is a good question, I will see how the board pans out over the coming few weeks or months and apply for Google adsense. No popups or annoying flash banners as I hate them myself and don't want to subject anyone to that kind of pain. lol Some people have also suggested a Donate button or link but I wouldn't feel right with that so I guess we'll see. A few people know how much this is costing me and I ask them to remain silent as we will just see what happens.

Yeah I only put it Live at 12PM GMT. After getting the "ready to go" finishing touches done I posted the Rules and Welcome threads then locked the board and went to sleep. lol There has been someone watching me though, I have seen them as a Guest the past few days I have been doing this, also Google have already been here and Spidered the board it appears.

Well it's not done yet, I need to change and add smilies and also redo the buttons and icons to make them look better and also remove the white matting (the noise). So many icons to make and change it's a wonder people do this for a living. So far it has taken about 3 days but that's at like 10 hours a time so a fair amount of work and it's still ongoing.

Yeah the new additions to vBulletin are very user friendly and also it makes moderating easy too as there's an infraction system that will if the number is reached automatically ban or suspend.

If you don't have a sig at the time of posting it will default to not showing your signature, if you goto your previous posts you will see Show signature is not checked. You can change this in your User CP though.

Hey Lws, welcome to the board, thanks for signing up, my mum's from Wales and all her family is down there but not many actually speak Welsh, it's always good seeing the signs for places though, it's like where's the vowels gone?!

Yeah me too, I have the forum offline on my PC so I can mess around with styles, images, coding etc without crashing the actual board and as I said this is a constant Work In Progress and then I can get on with the main site also. I've wanted to create this place since I heard about TDU so I am determined to make it work.

Hi to everyone and welcome to Test Drive Unlimited Central (TDU Central) !! After so long of saying I'll do it and trying to get the time I decided to bite the bullet and just get the forum up and running with the main site coming afterwards sometime this month (time permitting). TDU Central is all about Test Drive Unlimited as well Games, Cars and of course Crap. Well you can't have the good without the bad so hey it's all good ...unless it's of course bad. Let's get the boring bit out of the way, first and foremost check the Rules, they are mainly common sense but hey it has to be done: Rules. Annnnyyywaaayy hopefully we can be a success and a community is only as good as it's members so that is what we will be focussing on. If you have a [suggestion or Comment] feel free to post in the relevant forum. If you're new to the board then come on in and [introduce Yourself] and get to know everyone. The board at the moment is a WIP hence the basic looking images in some places as well as the lack of smilies and the like but over the coming few days I aim to fix and improve on these. I'll tell you one thing it's murder to skin a forum, respect to the people that do this frequently, maybe I can be one of them someday about 10 years from now but for now I'll stick to baby-stepping my way through it.
