  1. Porsche are on a long term deal like before so don't expect to see them in games for the forseeable future except those that have had them recently.
  2. Look it up, the Scots hate saying New Years Eve. It's Hogmanay! :D

  3. Well 'What the frank/fudge/feck/funk/fighting-fish' can also be said to mean "WTF" and a big part of whether a word should be used is easily shown via the context it's being put in. WTF??!?! / WTF?!?! That is brilliant = Jokey fun/Confused state WTF are you talking about! / WTF are you going to do about it! / WTF idiot? = Argumentative
  4. I think 3 Veyrons (16.4, Grand Sport & SS) would have been alright then throw the Centenaire in as a Casino prize car later on. Not really, however later in the year I believe the license becomes somewhat attainable to those who may want it.
  5. BMW may be available later on next year.
  6. The Mainichi Shimbun paper's Mantan Web site reports that the Tokyo Big Sight event center will again host Comic Market (Comiket), the world's largest dōjinshi convention, next summer. Comic Market 80 will take place August 12-14, after the recently passed amendment to the Tokyo Youth Healthy Development Ordinance goes into effect. The current Comic Market 79 event is running from Wednesday to Friday, and 160,000 came on the first day. The amendment will expand the number of manga and anime that fall under "harmful publications," the legal category of works that must not be sold or rented to people under the age of 18. 10 manga publishers announced earlier this month that they would boycott next year's Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF), which is also slated to be held in Tokyo Big Sight, because of the amendment. Eight media companies are holding a new event called Anime Contents Expo on the same March weekend that TAF scheduled its two public days. Comic Market first ran in 1975, and it moved to its current Tokyo Big Sight home in 1996. Comic Market reported a turnstile attendance of 560,000 during its last two summer events. 510,000 are expected at the ongoing Comic Market 80. 35,000 circles sell works that they published themselves over the three days of the event. One of Comic Market's several previous homes was Makuhari Messe, the complex just east of Tokyo that will host Anime Contents Expo in March. Besides Comic Market, Tokyo Big Sight also hosts the Tokyo Toy Show and other events. Makuhari Messe hosts the Tokyo Game Show and Shueisha's Jump Festa. Update: Mantan Web reports that the Comic Market organizers will distribute a pamphlet detailing the important points of the amended ordinance to the dōjinshi circle sellers. The staff members will take other steps to ensure that they can run the event after the amendment takes effect Source:ANN
  7. The anime studio Gonzo revealed on Monday that it earned 74 million yen (about US$900,000) in operating profit or 28 million yen (US$340,000) in ordinary profit during the first half of the fiscal year ending in March 2011. The first half ran from March to September of 2010. Gonzo's reported net profit did drop from 82 million yen (US$1 million) in the same period last year to 47 million yen (US$570,000). However, Gonzo was only able to report a net profit in that period last year because 339 million yen (US$4.12 million) in debt was forgiven, so the actual profit was greater this year. In the past year, Gonzo was involved in several animated sequences for games, such as Crackdown 2 (Riot Act 2) and Arcadia Saga. Gonzo told ANN during March's Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) that it was developing a potential Spring 2011 project that would take advantage of the new stereoscopic 3D televisions now entering the marketplace. Gonzo then confirmed in September that Range Murata (Blue Submarine No. 6, Last Exile, Solty Rei, Shangri-La) worked on character designs for a new anime scheduled to air next year. Gonzo announced in August that it was recruiting new animation staff members. Gonzo is working with the Malaysian animation studio Funcel and Malaysia's National Film Development Corporation to produce an adventure animation series called Satria - The Warriors of the 7 Elements for Fall 2012. Hiroyuki Kitakubo (Blood: The Last Vampire) is involved, although he states that he is only an advisor. Gonzo is also looking to work on a collaborative project with a major Chinese media firm. Gonzo was established in 1992 when anime producer Shouji Murahama left Gainax to start his own company. Gonzo merged with Shinichiro Ishikawa's Digimation company in 2000 and a new parent company was formed, GDH (Gonzo Digimation Holdings). The Nihon Keizai Shimbun paper reported last year that GDH was restructuring its anime production operations after GDH asked 20% of its workforce to "voluntarily retire" in 2008. GDH has since absorbed Gonzo and adopted the Gonzo name for itself. Source:ANN
  8. The YouTube website began streaming a 94-second promotional movie for the Spring 2011 television anime adaptation of the Steins;Gate "scientific adventure game" from 5pb. and Nitroplus this week. The same video is also being shown at this week's Comic Market 79 event in Tokyo. The anime will premiere in Japan next spring. [smg id=324 type=av] The official website for the television anime adaptation of Mitsuba and Ichijinsha's 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku (Health and Physical Education for 30-Year-Olds) also began streaming a 112-second promotional video off YouTube on Tuesday. 9. As mellors said it doesn't matter if you did this or whether the forum did it, it's against the rules either way.
  10. The game maker Sammy announced via a promotional video at its Comic Market booth this week that it is planning new anime projects for its Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel magical girl slot machine game franchise in 2011. The promotional video revealed that the web anime adaptation that was announced a year ago will now be an original video anime (OVA) project. The promotional video then revealed that a "[__] anime adaptation has been green-lit!!" (The video deliberately obscures the first part of the announcement.) J.C. Staff will be producing the animation. The video also announced that a new game and manga is in the works for next year. The game from the developer Alchemist and writer/director Kiichi Kanō will feature an all-new story with previously seen characters and new characters. Kumi Horii (Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka, Student Council's Discretion) is designing the characters, and Studio Gokumi (A Channel, Koe de Oshigoto!) is producing the in-game footage. The musical artist group "ave;new project" is handling the theme song. The artist Koari will launch the franchise's second manga in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Comp Ace magazine this spring. Kaitō Tenshi Twin Angel began as a pachisuro (pachinko-parlor slot machine) game with Yukari Tamura and Mamiko Noto as Haruka "Red Angel" Minazuki and Aoi "Blue Angel" Kannazuki. It already spawned a manga in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine in 2007 and a two-volume video anime series in 2008. [smg id=323 type=av] Source:ANN
  11. You are misreading what I have said though I can see how a non-native English speaker could see it that way. 1) You get a free code for the car 2) Enter code and the car appears in a showroom 3) You can view and test drive this car 4) You can buy this car with ingame currency compared to 1) You purchase a DLC 2) The car(s) are put in their showrooms 3) You can view and test drive these cars 4) You can buy these cars with ingame currency The FREE part I was talking about was in getting the car into your game, not getting the car from the showroom to your garage.
  12. Well those who pre-order get access to the car(s) and the ability to buy them ingame for free compared to those who don't. If you didn't pre-order then you may get the chance to gain access to them via a free or premium DLC after at least 60 days. The Casino pre-order gives you the Casino DLC for free, however whether you got it for free or paid for it doesn't matter, you will still be able to win the 2 cars within the Casino. (Audi and Spyker)
  13. Well if you count the non-preorder cars we know of then there's over 90 albeit including the 2 cop variants of the Charger and Viper. Not knowing exactly which of the Veyrons are pre-order or are actually included also makes the 91 probable but again this probably includes the 2 cop variants being counted as separate vehicles.
  14. Haha that's nice; We won't be found at downmarket retailers, oh no not us we only like our publications to be displayed and sold by upper market elite establishments. Keeps the riff raff and their grubby fingers off our pages you see. Note: Read in a pure toff nosed accent for best effect :D
  15. No you have it correct and just to reiterate, the plan is for the pre-order cars to be available at some point after at least 60 days post release.
  16. You've just asked him the question he has asked. You wanna drive cars? Drive real cars! I win!* :nnnn: *maybe
  17. Baldy will know that one Mellors as he listened to at least 1 checking out some cracking tunes in the process.
  18. I wish. :( Hogmanay is a'coming though!

  19. Oh man that second pic is stunning. Thanks!

  20. Perhaps this is done for the preview build so that those playing can experience the full cycles as you know what some reviewers are like, 1-2 hours and they're done. You do get some decent ones sure but they are usually the minority. As for the handling without knowing what control system they were using and also any tweaks to the settings it's hard to gauge how crap or horrid the handling is from vids. I can't see this game being screwed up in the core areas but then hey these things happen and whoever makes the decision for it needs kicked in the shins repeatedly if it turns out to be the case.
