  1. Well, I felt the same ,so I've done something about it! Now it's real fun(and realistic too)! Enjoy!
  2. I'm glad you understood what I was on about:),in my view transitions are maybe the most important part, even if the quality of samples isn't great if it all sounds believable from 0 to top rpm's it's much better than 3 great samples that don't fit one after the other! You aren't playing with the steering wheel?? omg you don't know what you're missing! I ONLY play the hard core mod with my trusty old MOMO wheel and it's awesome(that is if you close one eye to the ridiculous "moon gravity" and heavy understeer)!:D p.s. Viper is a handful with the wheel too,so don't worry!;) p.p.s. I've seen that commercial,it's great! LOL at the Japanese women and the frightened guy in gray sweater!!!
  3. Thank you man "who's ridden in M3"!:D;):D Real samples worked like charm,so it sounds:drool:!
  4. Well for the moment I'm using those from the TDUBOVMODv4.2 which are amped up original files with added bov(for those with the turbo), but I have some samples laying around;) ,so I think there will be some new sounds around here soon!:D:cheeky: As for transitions, I wouldn't call them smooth because from low to mid and from mid to high there's too much difference in sound characteristics,so it sounds unnatural, like steps if you know what mean...;) p.s. :ill::crying: arghhh man, you gotta start eating healthier, luckily I've got my trusty gas mask by my side at all times!:nanananana::monkeydance:
  5. Nice to hear from someone who's actually ridden in it! And as for other cars, the latest mod of Lexus IS-F fits the bill nicely as you can hear here(video)...although with the stock exhaust it sounds a bit Audi-ish(it drones), with tuned one it's much more open and more M3-like...i think;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D86feQwfqLU
  6. THX guyz!:) As for your request shark,I tried it,but that sound lacks some frequncies so it sounds odd compared to the rest of it ,and I as a musician know, if you haven't got 'em, you can't make 'em up(freq).;) Anyway, in the second video by that guy ,somewhere in the middle, as his friend is filming from within the car as they stop at the junction, you can hear that the idling sound from the cockpit sounds almost exactly as mine does in V1.1!:D
  7. I'll keep it simple, since the original sound was too tame(but essentially good),I took it apart, beefed it up,threw some new samples in and now you don't have to be ashamed anymore to drive your favorite serpent monster! Enjoy! file: http://files.filefront.com/Viperzip/;13360527;/fileinfo.html suicide run::D (available in high quality:excited:) My custom rims: http://files.filefront.com/Viper+Cpe+F+01bnk/;13614386;/fileinfo.html ********************************************************************** Here's the new, more realistic, sound I just made for the SRT10. Enjoy!:) p.s. I know someone is going to ask for these rims too,so they're in the zip file already.;) sound@ http://files.filefront.com/ViperSRT10+sound+and+rimszip/;13715837;/fileinfo.html mirror@ http://rapidshare.com/files/229648123/ViperSRT10_sound_and_rims.zip A bit of oval racing...sideways!
  8. I'm sorry man, but that isn't really a good sound...samples are of poor quality and distorted, transitions are more than noticeable(bad;)) and what's most important...it doesn't really resemble the car it's for!:o
  9. You rule and thx for listening to our friendly advices! Just a little more work and it'll be perfect!:excited: In the mean time I've found a better idle sound for the eleanor, it's nothing big,but it's closer to the real thing, so here it is updated to V1.1!:)(same old thread) http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=8541 p.s. You should really think about it,when you finish the model,to make it available for the shelby daytona also, because of it's performance(in the movie, the car is faaaast!:D)and fun to drive factor!;) I don't know how complicated it is,but compared to what you've done, moving two camera positions and making shure the car sits normaly on it's wheels doesn't seem like a big problem does it? pleeeeeeaseeee?:nuts: (normal bodyswap doesn't work well obviously)
  10. Well you just rename this file to skygtr_audio.bnk and overwrite it,or rename your current file to something else and this one to skygtr_audio.bnk. Simple as that.:) p.s. I hope that "thumb down" is a mistake!;)
  11. Well, that certainly isn't a stock supra, but it sounds ! ...and very very similar to what I've done, cuz that's the kind of sound(prrrrRRRRrrrr:D)I was going for!
  12. Just a little word of advice, while it's great that you try hard and try to cover as much cars as possible,It would be better if you'd concentrate more on quality than quantity! What I'm saying is, people would appreciate more a few really good sounds(which they will USE) than a flood of mediocre ones(that end up in the recycle bin)...;) In practice, try to get samples of better quality, look out for glitches/pauses in the sound loops and pay attention to the transitions, you can't follow one sound with ANY other sound,it must be similar and the pitch has to be correct for a transition to appear smooth! My 2 cents.
  13. In my humble:) opinion,I still came closest to that awesome tuned supra sound! check it: http://forum.tdu-central.com/showthread.php?t=8569
  14. oh yeah, keep it comin'!:D nice job you're doing! can't wait 'till it's all done!:)
  15. You've tried my awesome V8 sounds right? :thumbsup::cheeky: :lol: http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=8541
  16. Coming along nicely man!:D Stick with it! Oh yes...one last thing, can you make rims a bit bigger and tires low profile, cuz that's how they really(hollywood;)) are! THX!:p
  17. Time to wipe the dust off your Beemer and let it rip! I've spent half a day fiddling with this one and I think you'll be satisfied with the results!:) (there is a small detail I want to eventually iron out,but nevermind that for now) ENJOY!:D sound file: http://files.filefront.com/S281E+Cpe+audiobnk/;13312659;/fileinfo.html *I've bodyswaped with saleen's extreme coupe for it's performance,RPM(soundwise) and bonnet view! *if sound goes too high(over 6500rpm!),it doesn't sound right I think for what it's meant...btw it goes up to 8500 if you need it...;) video: I was going for something like this. Inside the real thing it sounds a bit syntetic and quiet and from the back,it's too raspy...so my sound I hope is somewhere in the middle!:D(end of the movie is best for comparison) **************************************************************************** NEW REALISTIC SOUND! Hello again my fellow gear heads, I was generally satisfied with the M3 sound I made, but I stumbled:cheeky: across some real M3 samples, so in the interest of greater accuracy, I had to do another, more realistic one!:D In the mean time, I've also found a "more finished" model http://mod-dealers.blogspot.com/than Tool's, so that's the one in the new video, and because it's a new model, it had different camera positions so I had to find another car to bodyswap. As it happens, DB9 was a great match since the performance is similar(let's say slightly tuned M3;)),camera view(bonnet) is even better and most importantly for this thread, it revs up to 6800rpm, which in the game sounds just like when the real thing redlines @ 8300:thumbsup:...oh, and it drifts nicely!:excited: p.s. this model doesn't have interior but CLK55's matches! File: http://files.filefront.com/BMW+M3+E92zip/;13324670;/fileinfo.html New sound video:
  18. That's all I wanted to hear! ...and I know I'm breaking your nuts here, but if it was crap to begin with,I wouldn't have bothered, but it's really good, so I'd like it to be perfect:nuts: and I'm glad to see you share my view!:excited: THX again and keep up the good work!:D
  19. Happy & friendly constructive criticism post! First of all I want to thank you again for making this car and secondly for sticking with it 'till is perfect,RESPECT! So let my extremely clumsy pics speak for them selves...:D +when are we going to see an update(with pics) please? http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii67/markonious/STUFFTOCHANGE.jpghttp://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii67/markonious/STUFFTOCHANGE2.jpghttp://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii67/markonious/STUFFTOCHANGE3.jpg:bump:
  20. I stand corrected!:o As I was writing that I had a feeling I should check my "morphing facts" crappy memory!:stinks: ...anyway,you must admit they do sound alike!:D;):cheeky:
  21. I've tried lot's of cars with this new model(since farboud doesn't look right no more) and I've found it fits perfectly on Jaguar XJ220,wheels,height,performance,turbo,bonnet view(maybe a bit too high, but otherways perfect)...so that's my choice!:) +my GT-R sound fits nicely also, revving up to 7200rpm's!:D
  22. Maplecars & Shy Guy: Well,350Z/GT-R have practically the same V6 engine,so they also sound similar!(and supra's inline-6 also sounds really close!) ...and btw as I've said, I wasn't going for the stock sounds of these cars, but that cat-back tuned sound which you can hear if you follow the links on my post few posts up!;) (as for the dyno run sound, that's with the open bonnet and the camera is right by it,so that's not the sound you really hear when you're driving it!:cheeky: rdmracer: what do you mean?
  23. TheScottishSpotter & RB26DETT: YEah It's one of the hardest sounds to make, but bear in mind it doesn't sound like that from the inside while you're driving it! (hihihi gay 'talians:D;)) Anyway,I'm trying to make a higher pitched version(with real idle too),but the damn thing glitches now so I'm dealing with that right now...if I manage to make it sound right,I'll post it...
