If they're given that much time to polish this game, the shine better not fade away in a year.

Yup they polish up those burgers in the commercials waayyy too much, but I guess that's advertising for ya'. At least now most games rely on In-Game clips to sell their game rather then pre-rendered hunks of 3D junk.

Why is Atari giving beta testers, which supposedly haven't been notified yet, exclusive items/rewards? The way they phrased it leads me to believe that they have already notified the first batch of beta testers. The only way I as a company would feel liable to give the beta testers something extra, is if I told or gave them something which they are unable to use yet such as a beta key. Now that they've pushed the release date back further it's basically making them wait and stand idle. Other than that, I see no reason to give beta testers better incentive then testing a game that isn't even released to the general public yet or will be for quite some time.

I was kind of expecting this. There was an information drought for such a long time, and then the release date inching ever so closer, the possibility of having a productive beta was almost impossible. I was expecting more or a 1-2 month delay but shifting it all the way to Q1 is going to give them an enormous amount of time to polish it up not to mention, an enormous amount of beta play time. :twisted:

I've been using it with backwards compatibility and I can run all of my games totally fine. I use 1680x1050 and have maxxed all my games out without a hitch. That includes: NFS:Shift COD: MW2 BF 2 Rfactor TDU :P None of them seem to be laggy. I say seem because I haven't checked how many frames per second I get. I don't know if my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU though. I might run a 3dMark test soon but just look at my specs, do you think there is any bottlenecking at all? I want to know so I know what to upgrade first, my motherboard or my CPU. Hint: To check my PC specs, simply click the green reactor-looking button under my Avatar!

Starts at around 0:54. They discuss the sequel and the differences between the first and the second, not really anything new but it is a good watch for sure. Not that long though. They are more of a sim-based review site so they prominently focused on that and things such as steering wheels etc, and they announced it will be released September 21st. Don't know if that's new information or not... * Didn't know where to put it sorry...

This game is being released in Fall, most companies would have many teasers released by now. Eden/Atari is trying to make up for that. :P Most of the information has already been exposed by us, I guess they can't tell us anything new, so they're just releasing trailers/teasers. :)

That's because we're blood hounds, out for TDU info. The trailer was good though, to give us a feel of the game and an estimate of what kind of look they're going for.

My guess would be yes, but the PC requirements have not yet been released yet so don't quote me on that. -- I agree with carboy. At 0:23, the car looks barely rendered. I guess the Viper model is just not finished yet. Usually you expect to see up to the detail of being able to see that a paint job is metallic. But it just wasn't there. Maybe they used a crappy recorder, or a crappy resolution, either way, that's definitely not the final product.

Now it's the waiting game to see which gaming website paid off Atari to get the video posted on their site first.

TDU, turn flight simulator. Sounds like a great concept. Too bad there's not that much of a demand for that type of game.

Just curious. This tweet was "tweeted" before the one saying "Trailer tomorrow". Your attacks against Atari PR's would have been valid if it was the other way around. (Tomorrow tweet, before end of week) Then again, Europe is slightly ahead of North America in time. About 5 hours from Canada to England. Could be the 29th there already for all we know.

I wonder how big TDU2 will be on the PC. With all the added extras, it'll probably run 10 gigs. But that's pretty much the norm for computer games now-a-days. -- I thought that we already knew Oahu was going to be in the game?
