  1. I'm not a modder but I think it would be something of editing the light texture used. And just running a black gradient/screen over it in PS. But as I said, I'm not a modder, this is just theory. So basically extracting the .bnk and re-packing it would be the biggest issue.
  2. I think the only pickup that would fit with the "exotic" theme, while still keeping 4x4 capabilities would be the Ford Raptor. It has an amazing 0-60 and rocks the wilderness. That's just my opinion.
  3. Will there be a proper automatic gearbox? One that shifts depending upon the pressure applied to the accelerator, not just shifting at the rev-limiter.
  4. Now all we need is the video of the beta that Pelaaja magazine got to see, and our lives would be complete.
  5. Until many mainstream games start to implement them, then I doubt we'll see Logitech make a move any time soon. Many games already had support for clutch such as the hardcore sim racers, which is why Logitech then released the G25 with H-Shifter and Clutch. I just use the paddles, but I would gladly use a steering wheel with turning signals. But this is only a dream as people these days only look for racing games, and what is the use of turn signals in racing... The last game I remember with turn signals was from Need For Speed, with Porsche's Unleashed, which was a great game.
  6. Some companies do use internal code-names when referring to unreleased games. This is most commonly used in the names of NEW games, which companies don't want to announce yet, and they usually don't explain the game very well. Most game names have meaning for example, Test Drive Unlimited. Test Drive relates to what you would do before purchasing a car, test driving it. Unlimited means there are no bounds, the sky is the limit. But being that TDU is already released, TDU: High-life wouldn't be much of an internal code-name.
  7. 772, Why did you dig this up? This was from 2009.... when I didn't know what was posted here. Seems the link is dead now though.
  8. If it was changed today, it seems that we're being monitored by the Big Wigs at Atari, or at least that dude. :-x --- It seems as though many other gaming websites have dug up this story, and with a swift google of "test drive high life" many news results come to light. :) thanks whichever mod edited this for me. --- Seems a bit fishy that testdrivehighlife.com was registered as soon as this information was released? Maybe Fabien is just fuelling our rumours? Is this a hoax? Maybe I'm just too much of a skeptic.
  9. Use a steering wheel. Aha. Or an analog stick.
  10. Merry Christmas Diablo! What I've retrieved from this article is...: (Mostly for those lazy to read it) - TDU2 is STILL set in Hawaii - There WILL be an off-road portion to it. Story: - Both games are being developed for the PC and XBOX 360, being that they have the best online communities - Intern talks about constraints, being that this is an online game, allowing for the end-suer to be able to run this game properly online with many vehicles simultaneously - Hawaii will be pretty much unchanged except for the ability to drive offroad in different weather conditions. And they are moving away from fully duplicating Hawaii (The intern better explains it) - A new island will be added which is totally fictitious (fake). - Treasure Island is mostly off-road - Eight Zones were described by the developers and the intern and his friend had to create some concept images, those eight zones required.. * Images were in the quote, but were taken down according to Diablo. :) - Examples of areas, 4 of the 8. More to the Story: (The little island being the offroad island, Treasure Island) - The island was inspired by an old Mexico (desert-like/poor) - Starting house? - Explanation of the carbon Lambo, turning into a buggy. :) - In-depth explanation of the video's meaning I've kept out some things to those who have read it, most of it explained his eperience and what he did, etc. But about the pictures, I'm pretty sure we have most of them upped here. This thread specifically http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=8787 I don't know if it's all the pictures explained though. Well, I have to get ready for the Christmas Party now, Merry Christmas everyone!
  11. The LF-A is a truly amazing piece of art. Toyota has exceeded my expectations. This is a bit of an old video, but it's what made me truly appreciate the LF-A.
  12. I find when I first start up TDU, and start playing, my pedals are extremely sensitive (small taps rev the car to max). Then after a bit, it goes back to normal. Am I the only one having this problem? Also I have another problem which may be steering wheel related, and not the game, where sometimes I have to press the brake and then the gas to accelerate, but this happens on rare occasions. Any input would be appreciated.
  13. I currently have an ATI 5770, but not enough monitors. aha. But TDU looks beautiful maxxed out.
  14. Personally I feel bad for Atari, nothing can be kept a secret. Maybe that's their fault for having that information publicly available , but one way or the other, we are going to find out.
  15. I've tried to find a video on youtube showcasing it but I was unable, is there a video you know that shows the transmission in various scenarios?
  16. I love that idea, maybe you should be the marketing manager at Atari/Eden Games
  17. The video could quite possibly be a very raw render of a teaser or commercial for TDU2? It surely fits the quota. We've been seeing off-road concept images, and TDU being a mostly exotic car game? Though, if it is, it won't be as exciting as not knowing if that's the real teaser.
  18. It should be about $10. 50% of 19.95 is 9.975. 19.95 - 9.975 = 9.975.
  19. Smoother hills... Not choppy.
  20. If Tool DOES get his hands on the new update coming to Need For Speed : Shift, then there will definitely be an upgrade to this model as well, being that the Toyota Supra is coming in the form of a free DLC to Need For Speed : Shift
  21. There's a new muscle carpack coming to NFS Shift. Do you expect to convert all those cars too?
  22. It would be a fun car to see. I would like to see more cars that people will be able to purchase, rather than exotics. I usually just cruise in TDU, and find that I have more fun cruising in a car that I would be able to see everyday. Anyways, here's basically the model for it. http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/preview.aspx?ModelCode=3500 Great car, pretty fast.
  23. http://www.testdriveunlimited2.fr/en/index.php?option=com_oziogallery&Itemid=25 Look at the top left picture. It seems like there is going to be a driving school, where maybe you gain your license! It's just a gallery I found in one of the directories. Sorry if posted already.
