  1. I don't think you can judge difficulty with precision in less than 1 hour. I have same reaction years ago, so I understand you.;) But don't forget to reconsider your position about modelization when you'll be ready. It is hard because it is long, but it is not too hard. Every body can make it. You just need time(1-2months) to learn the tools and to let your brain make modifications "to see on 3D"(same way that learn to read but easier).
  2. Hello, I'll be very happy to give you some advices on making models with Zmodeler2. First, you must found a tutorial like the one on http://www.zmodeler2.com if you speak english http://www.zmodeler2.com/index.php?mode=docs or, if you speak french, my own tutorial: http://tdumodshop.forumactif.net/3d-modelling-f3/tutoriel-zmodeler2-pour-debutant-t80.htm plus this one for zmodeler1 that gives good principles: http://damscoq.free.fr/vice_city/tutoriaux/zmodeler.html An other very important advice is to be patient. That is the first quality of a good modeler, because a good model takes between 1 month and 1 year of work, and tdu need accurate interior modelization without any print. Make a model that you really like, because it is the source of motivation, and show the WIP in forums to found some help and take new source of motivation in messages of members. I hope you really try this challenge, when you pass the first weeks of difficulty, it's very cool to think that you can modelize anything you want and put it in game. So good luck and read you soon(I hope so):)

The converter is too present. Okay the convertion to TDU is harder than convertion for other games, but the creators are only in "Model", "installer". And the Edited mention is just ridiculous, it's the main part of convertion work. So don't cry that authors don't want to release their work on TDu with this kind of egocentric use. The presentation causes confusion. I know who are real authors of main mods in TDUc they named Juiced2, EAGames, IceKid, Tonn, 2CVSuperGT, Krazymond, Mike_sg, Squir, KennyBZH... and so on. Thanks guys
  4. Hello, I am modeler, originally from GTA community... As 2CVSuperGT began to convert my models to TDU in 2008, the car modding was completely new and converters were very thanked for this. But the peole that thanks the 3d modeler were very rare, and most of them believe that all this work was made by 2CVSuperGT himself. We were very disapointed by this, but it comes at a moment when new cars are very rare. But today there is more people that can see the work but that is still very rare. It's only because me and 2CVSuperGT are friends that I continue to allow him to convert my work for TDU. When we play online in TDU a lot of players stop to thank him, but nobody don't remind my name as more than 50% of 2CVSuperGT's release are based to my work. I think that this problem is specific to TDU community and it's very dangerous for it if you want that modding continue for a long time on this game and next. In GTA community, it is forbidden to post a mod whitout a clear mention in the title of the origin of 3D model. You can read in title some letters like SCR for scratch made or CONV for convertion. This kind of little things make all the difference but that not the only way. On respectable community you can found different categories for authors and there is rarely one author of the mod but if he made it from A to Z (like 2CVSuperGT's Bugatti) -> Original author gives credit to the guy that made the car Converters gives credit to converters Maybe the format of "TDUC's release" must be updated to allow new modelers to give their works to this community whithout the sensation of violation. By this way I hope all players can easily understand the work of all the guys that work on it, and thanks all these people.
  5. First bike mod... and what a mod!!!! Vote for Suzuki GSXR of course:excited: But this month we saw works of some talented modelers as Tonn or IceKid. I hope we see more of them.
  6. 1. 2CVSuperGT makes all these old and pretty cars with his own and small little hands. It's an impressive work when you know how it's hard and long too make only one car. 2. By this mod we will have cars with the right scale compare to the player's cars, and as the car will be known, it will grow the immersion feeling. Thank you
  7. As we choose to make models conform as "factory output", we can't put perpex lights on a spyder. Sorry. As you can see it on this page: http://www.ferrari365gtbdaytona.com/spyder/ It's a conversion of a GTB/4 '70. A real spyder named GTS/4 and came between 1971 and 1973
  8. Thank you borny to see the small details as we take lot of time to make these.
  9. Yes, of course it's technically possible. To make it with the right way, you must ask permission of original author to do it. Most of them grant your project if you cedit them as the author of 3d Mesh and textures. If you are lucky, he can send you original sources(better quality of textures and no conversions bugs), and if you are very lucky he can help you to convert(it's what happen when 2CVSuperGT contacted me to convert my models from GTA... now I modelize first for TDU). That's why converters should always beg permission to convert a model, it's mainly a better way for everybody(author-converter-player). The model you can found on NFSCARS.NET can be converted to TDU, but some of them comes from other game(conversion+conversion+conversion...= bad choice...prefer the original files) or must to be remade due to lower constraint from NFS(no door panels, bad quality interior...) But you can found some very accurate model too, that are completely ready to convert to TDU. That's mainly some cars that you can't found in video game and are made with a lot of passion by their author... By example, some dacia and so on... The same models as the best models with the best interiors at the begining of modding on TDU(Sure that was the same guys).
  10. Well... A little historic point. The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 was preseented on 1968 in Paris. The car was called by tiffosi as "Daytona" in memory of the victory on the american track some month ago. The original car has no pop up lights, and the light are hidden behind a "perpex" glass. The wood steering wheel was available on the first GTB/4 only. In 1969, Ferrari present the 365 GTS/4 - the spyder . It's yellow with black stripes on the side. It's the only spyder with perpex glass. In 1969 PininFarina exposes a alternative version of the spyder that Ferrari refused... It's a spyder turned as a targa version(the one you identified as "California"). This car was dark blue with specific white interior. In 1970, the USA voted a law that forbid the glass over the lights. That's why Ferrari change the front of the daytona to adapt it to the US Exportations (same thing for the citroen SM(USSpec)) So Ferrari put pop up lights on the daytonas in 1971... To remind the style of the perpex car, the really first models have the front panel painted in gray. The next version were normal painted. So the Spyder that comes in 1971/1972 till 1974 has pop up light too. 1350 Ferrari 365GTB/4 were build between 1968 and 1974 136 Ferrari 365GTS/4 between 1971 and 1974 Today many owner of GTB/4 turn an "ordinary" GTB/4 to GTS/4 to earn money... But these works are not good and have some errors like front perpex lights... There is some replica of Spyder based mainly on Corvette C3 like you can see it in the TVShow "Miami Vice"
  11. Some videos of Facel Vega Facel2 in TDU: by holecsko[???]: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGO7VJfvehc and by angrab(Strefa Test Drive Unlimited) : Nice, isn't it?
  12. Nice shots oahu! Have you found the "secret" paints ?(Some paints are hidden in the car painter)
  13. A nice movie by angrab from Strefa Test Drive Unlimited
  14. Hello Leadfoot Where can I found the COTM : December 09 Topic ? It seems it moved Thank you, and happy new year ;)

    1. Why not setting the mirror color as the second color. By this way you can have body color, black or orange mirrors independently of the color of the car. It's always the way choose by 2CVSuperGT on my models, in these cases
    2. It's the model of IceKid84. I remember the thread on SMCars.net on 2008 It's a very good model from a very good modeler, near 30k polys with a very acurate placement. But I don't remember the quality interior, I just remember some shot of final exterior. This car was available on NFS2SE(1997)...What a funny game. Anyway, very good choice Tool831:) Oups... same answer as ShyGuy... Sorry
    3. Well, no Ferrari planned for the mods in progress, but the next Ferrari for me will be BB365 GT4 or BB512. Current 3d project are: Citroen DS, peugeot 504 coupe and cabriolet, matra 530 LX I'd like to make alfa romeo montreal and a BMW 635 CSI too. As you can see, we probably have more project than the time of tdu modding will give us. And I prefer LP400 and I've ever think about the 350GT ;)... So If I have enough time...
    4. Thank you Stefan for the interest you give to the mod Just some precision about the sounds: there are not original sounds game. the sounds are made by christophe31fr, and come mainly from a real daytona and a ferrari 400i (approximatively the same motor as the daytona) In game, this work is really impressive and give to this mod its own personnality Particularly the start engine sound, and the sound of motor depression when you release the gaz pedal. The E-Type comes with a 3.8l 6 in line engine when the daytona comes with a 4.4l V12. It's not exactly the same motor ;) For the sounds of doors, I don't know what choice is made by christophe, but I remain confident in the team to deliver a realistic and coherent content
    5. @Stefan: As you can see on the video, the work on these models are just coming to stop. It's time now for conversion by 2CVSUPERGT. The GTB/4 '68 is a 80% new model... a real v2.0 of the previous release, and on a different slot to race against the 250 GTO.
    6. -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
    7. Wanna ride ? -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) ---- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- 3 totally new models of Ferrari 365 GTB/4 and GTS/4(aka daytona), soon available on http://www.oahucars-unlimited.com 3D: xiorxorn conversion: 2CVSuperGT Tools: Djey Stay tuned, and see you soon
    8. Hello, the model present on first post was my first model, made in 2006 and for GTASA. Three caracteristics that are today three handicaps for a good conversion on TDU. Particularly the interior that has too many squares and angles. So I redo some details: dash and steering wheel -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- new rims(under construction) -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) ---- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- new seat -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- And there's others features, but that's a surprise... So stay tuned, and visit http://www.oahucars-unlimited.com. Some news very very soon ;) bye
    9. Why these cars? Because we make the 3D and we don't just pick the mesh from a other game to put it in tdu. But to make the 3D quickly, we need to be passionate by the car we modelize. By the way, the new BMW6(not the model of 70's), Cadillac sixteen, and so on, are boring to us. Newest and fastest cars are good cars, but we make legendary cars, sorry if it's too high for you But you always can modelize cars by yourself instead of denigrate our hard work made for the part of this community that appreciate it. PS: Prepare you to see some others "NewLife(Hun)'s disapproval" cars on oahucars-unlimited.com, because we have a lot of models like this under construction, high quality interior and exterior... sorry
