  1. Yup, sure. I still have to figure out what everything is though so it could take a day or two.
  2. You can't rename the Edonis. Or the Ascari. These problems have been around since the dawn of modding. You can change the performance, (and the brand) but not the name. Kind of. I will write a guide containing all the information on all the values tomorrow. Below are extremely simple explanations. Gearbox Inertia The higher this is, the higher the revs required to get off the line. Engine Inertia Higher = More wheelspin off the line.
  3. My mistake. The Ctrl button on my keyboard's sticky. Mustn't have copied correctly. I'll get to an updated version in an hour or so. For the Lexus, make sure a drive type is set. For the others, please double check that there are no blank values. Else it is an error on my part - no idea what exception is going unhandled though and why it would only affect some cars. I'll have a look tomorrow. EDIT: Car Data Database 1.2 http://tdupe.com/downloads.htm. Download carData.mdb from above link and replace the one in your TDUPE directory. The current download version of TDUPE also includes this fix.
  4. Won't do anything since it's modifing DB_LANGUAGE.bnk and not any actual physics data. Keep in mind though, editing model/submodel is like Djey's old name editor. When you replace say..."coupe" all other "coupe"s get replaced. This will be fixed in the next version, but for the moment, if you want to change a submodel without affecting the rest - use model id.
  5. Is it possible that you could send me a copy of the contents of the config file. Thanks. Oh, and since you are using XP it might be a .NET error. I forgot to limit .NET to 2.0, so until next release if you use XP can you make sure this is installed: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en
  6. Thanks all for your feedback. Can you post a screenshot or something? Make sure you haven't left any empty boxes or dropdowns. All is working here. Car Data Database 1.1 http://tdupe.com/downloads.htm. Download carData.mdb from above link and replace the one in your TDUPE directory. The current download version of TDUPE also includes this fix.
  7. !!!For Offline Use Only!!! Dredgy's TDU Performance Editor TDUPE is a basic performance editor for Test Drive Unlimited. You can use it to edit performance of cars, as well as other completely random values like price and the type of seatbelt your car has. Credits: Djey - Framework, help with framework Tool831 - Bug testing, feedback, help with data Minime891 - Bug testing, feedback. Dredgy - Some light code writing TDUPE Version 2.5 Released Features Added Improved Stability .NET 2.0 compatibility. Car Data Database Version 2.1 Released Bugs Fixed New brands added. Bugs (please read) Due to testing on my machine, the default language file loaded is Chinese. Please go to "Settings->Locality" and change to your language on first run. Apology I am truly sorry about the quality of TDUPE 2.0. The code is bloated and most of the features I wanted to get into it I couldn't get working in time. The whole thing was rushed for released due to lack of time for further development and to compensate I added the shiny eye candy and a half-assed dealership editor (I had a full-assed one, but it broke). I cannot express my extreme personal disappointment with 2.0 enough, it is not to my standards and I don't believe the tool or the database should be 1MB in size. Performance Packs Performance packs are packets of data that can be exported and imported to your game onto any car. These do not work online, but for offline users they include everything you need - including camera swap. As of writing, there are just 2 available, with one being written by tool. They are available on the TDUPE website. If anyone could write accurate physics for the Bugatti Veyron it'd be sweet, cause I can't get it. Download And what I know you've all been waiting for: http://tdupe.com/downloads.htm However, you can use it online if you click this first. That is a list of values that are safe for online use. Extra Important Stuff I would also advise reading this. If you are a modder and would like to include custom physics in your mod, read this. Love, Dredgy This tool is designed for offline use only, therefore should not be used online. If you do use it online, you do so at your own risk. TDU Central can not be held responsible for any damage caused by the use of this software.
  8. Mods, could you please close/delete this thread. The time for development discussion has ended. Creating release thread now.
  9. Good to hear. Release in an hour or two. Gotta actually make some performance packs to download ;)
  10. Yeah same. There's any extra quote in the URL, on the illegal url page, copy the address and remove the quote after http://. Anyway, I vote for the Reventon. The Messerschmit would be my second choice. Good to see someone doing something unique.
  11. Well, and DB_US.bnk if you start renaming cars. Well no one has complained to me yet, so I assume it's just getting kicked.
  12. Thanks for all your feedback. I've got the space, but I'd rather just have the physics sent to me so I can try them out and make any necessary changes before I upload them. Maybe for next version. You don't have to, you can just back up the whole DB.bnk file so you don't have to bother with extracting. You assume correctly. There are guides on my site about what can be changed online. I'll post a link when I release it later today.
  13. Yup. I haven't got any made yet, but I'll try to set some up by tomorrow. The editor allows you to export the perfrormance of a car, as well as import it back in. The webste also has a download section for them. http://i49.tinypic.com/fvir8y.jpg And I am aware of the spelling issue on that page. Lol, sorry mate :P
  14. I'm not. Cause there's gonna be something they don't like and I'm gonna get bugged for new features :p Making a website...easy and done. Buying hosting and a domain...easy and done. Writing all the necessary guides....not so easy. Lot's of guides to be written by tomorrow.
  15. I went for cars we don't have. The Maserati or the Koenigsegg would be my vote. Both are the overglorified, insane, exclusive hypercars I love so much.
  16. Right, had a good day at the beach and I just got back and am starting work on a website now, which should hopefully be up and running tomorrow, with a download link provided Tuesday. There is one bug to still sort out, but it's neither major nor relevant to the end user. And about the online thing. I will be completely honest and say I do not give a flying rat's butt about what you can and can't go online with. The tool is designed for offline use. The only realy benefit to online users is what Djey's tool can already do, plus an integrated name editor.
  17. I can always delay it 2 weeks :p I'm still awaiting some feedback from testers from the last beta I put out and I gave myself the week off work, I'm just working from home till next Sunday so I can get it finished and out there, make a website for it and then go to sleep. So that partially answers your next question - I will be putting the download and guides and all that crap on an external site, but I would like to be able to link to that site here :p
  18. Not too sure about price, since I don't have an online account. I may create one later tonight. I'll see if Minime can answer that one for now. And yes, you can edit rarity, I was playing around with that today. When set to 1, it is always in stock, and when set to 0 it is never in stock. Likewise 0.5 is in stock half the time.
  19. This is easily implementable into my editor. All you have to do is change the id corresponding to the hud file. Fiddly and easy to get wrong without a GUI, but not overally difficult with one. As Djey said, if you're not sure, don't do it. You'll have to wait for a couple of days, but it's no problem for me to implement it.
  20. And it just got even nicer. I'm on release candidate stuff now. Interface cleaned up and the option to create an instruction for Djey's autoinstaller so performance values can be included in mods. Release is still fine for Dec 1 unless testing of the new version reveals any more major bugs.
  21. Aye, speed is a bit of an issue. I've had trouble getting my Veyron to stop accelerating when it hits 410kph. I could get it to 492 when it was tuned, so I am going to have to do something with tuning packs - this is getting bloody complicated.
  22. Yes. But when I say you have to be really good, I mean it, cause it's not in Google or any other search engines that I am aware of. Anyway video is being published as we speak, it's a little choppy but it demonstrates the general idea. Yup, Atari's done a good job on that. So no unfair advantages to people :) Oh, and video now embedded in first post.
  23. I'll try and get a video in the next few hours, but everytime I record with fraps my framerate drops from 75fps to 2fps.
