Well everyone, my PC is finally done! It's been an interesting 8 or so weeks (damn, been a very long time) but she's running good!! Had a bit of a scare this morning with the ASUS BIOS saying that my 2500k was running at 80C which turned out to be a false alarm but it did lead me to re-applying my thermal paste because I did a crappy job the first time. I thank you all so much for you help and I look forward to playing PC games with you all! Pics coming soon. :) WooT!! It runs TDU2 at max settings!!

New trailer is out. I might as well add, DICE confirmed that the destruction in BF3 will be nerfed. No more D2.0's unless the building is scripted to collapse. If you've watched some of the trailers, the facades on the front of the buildings have come off leaving rubble on the ground below. This can still kill people as you see in the video. Enjoy. There are also tons of leaked videos on youtube of the Alpha multiplayer many unlisted so DICE doesn't find them as easy as a public one. Do the searching yourself, I'm not gonna post them here lol.

Yeah. IMO, this goes both ways. Activision has no right to get legal with that website and DICE really don't need to take it this far. Anyway, my 2c, these are the lowest settings yet it will still blow CoD right out of the water.

Despite everyone knowing 'Alpha' means early stages and understandably low detail for a game, DICE aren't very happy about the leak. In fact, they're so unhappy, they might be taking legal action. The furtherest back we can track the following information is to this forum post. Since it's quite spurious information, be aware that this could be fake: The screens where taken by a journalist who sadly is part of the CoD vs BF hate fest (this one being a CoD fanboy). He set the resolution low as well as the graphics then initiated negative comments in the ingame chat (as seen in one of the screens) to try and "prove" that CoD is the superior title. Dice/EA have contacted the idiot who forgot to remove his ID from a screen with the APC and he is being threatened with a £175k lawsuit. All in all, yet another sad day in the never ending battle that is fanboys arguing with each other. £175,000? That's a ridiculous amount of money, but 'CrazyCanuck', a moderator on the Official Battlefield 3 UK forums, had seems to think it's fair: If you sign an NDA its as good as a contract and Just as enforceable in any court. Its called "non-disclosure agreement" for a reason. There was the threat of penalties and Im glad to see them take the hardline against breaking an NDA no matter who it was. If the moderator does have ties with DICE or EA, the above could be taken as confirmation of 'the threat of penalties', i.e. a possible £175k fine. However, since it's very hard to find an original source for this information, take this all with a hefty pinch of salt. Source

Newegg wouldn't take it back due to "physcial damage." I assume they think I messed up overclocking or something like that. They told me to contact ASUS so I rang them only to basically hear the same thing. I sent pictures to a 3rd party telecom company guy and he said "hopefully they will exchange it for you." I just bought another P8P67 and some Arctic Thermal Paste tonight. I'm gonna go ahead and send this burnt one to ASUS anyway so we'll see how that goes lol. The amazing part is, this is a known yet somewhat rare problem with these P8P67's. I've got 3 forums bookmarked with other folks with burn marks in the same place as mine. :lol: You'll be happy with the 2500k. Such a breeze to overclock.
