  1. It might change depending on which car slot you put it on, that can happen with mods meant for a certain slot but not put there. It happens most with Koenigsegg slots and their weird door opening sequence.
  2. You'd have to change quite a bit more than just the bodywork settings to get the car not to work anymore.....
  3. It does recognize mods, it just doesn't recognize THAT mod because that mod gets installed to a slot that isn't used by the game itself. Just reserve it and go run some races or drive around for a while, it's a little thing called PATIENCE, try acquiring some. The installer for that mod sets the rarity to the lowest possible level.
  4. When I used the files that came with it, I could no longer open that car in TDUMT, it would pop an error and refuse to open the car. But when I used dredgy's tools, I could still use TDUMT perfectly. I still haven't been able to change the rim size on the AC289 though, it crashes the game if I change the rim size.
  5. Since you can use mods, you could try changing the cash value of a car in TDUPE and just go buy the car instead of renting one from VRent.
  6. Keep in mind that if you use that tutorial, use Dredgy's decrypter and encrypter to maintain TDU Modding Tools functionality. If you use the decrypter recommended in the tutorial links, it breaks TDUMT functions. I've been using dredgy's tools and it works fine, with the exception of the cars that had different diameter rims in the front and rear, that I can't fix for whatever reason.
  7. There's only one Rolls Royce mod that I know of, and it's not worth having IMHO, it's a really bad mod. And I've never seen any Audi A8L with a police siren, especially since any police siren sound isn't actually part of the car itself, that could be any of the three A8L's that I know of.
  8. Interior is MUCH better, thank you. The exterior carbon fiber is still mega-dark though. F40 Cockpit Cad16 Cockpit_Back Zonda Rst Hood Farboud Hood_Back Zonda IK
  9. I don't remember the older version having any "special abilities" that the most current version doesn't have, as a matter of fact, it would be greatly behind the curve. Maybe you should update your TDU patch version instead of looking for out of date tools.
  10. It's great that you're releasing mods, but these texture gamma problems can't be ignored. Your textures are still WAY TOO DARK. You seriously need to reset ALL of your videocard settings and your TDU brightness setting back to defaults and try your own mods to see how dark they really are. This pic is with the sun to your back while driving, this is as bright as it gets..... This pic is with the sun to the front..... My videocard brightness and gamma and color saturation controls are all set to default in the videocard's dedicated control panel. My TDU brightness settings are at the default middle position. Oh and there's a couple realism errors......First with that scoop, on the real car, the scoop is lower than the top of the windshield, not towering above it. The scoop isn't more than an inch higher than the top of the seats. Second, the exterior carbon fiber is also not supposed to be matte finish, it's supposed to be polished and shiny just like the paintjob.
  11. There's a whole huge topic for blackened rims already here on TDUC, start searching.
  12. There's multiple Audi Q7 TDI versions done already, there's 25+ Veyrons out there pick one, there's 2 or 3 different '68 Mustang Fastbacks done, paint it pink yourself. No camera in the game will ever fit a Hummer H3 properly, the Land Rover is already done, with a tuned variant to boot, and the Lotus Evora was already converted from Forza 3. The SLR 722 Roadster was already done if I remember correctly, just not with a "no roof" version. There's 2 or 3 different Mercedes ML-63's out there, a batch of 370-Z's were just released not too long ago from Forza 3, with various tuning parts to boot. The Zonda F was done ages ago, and the Touareg also has multiple versions, none of which have viable cameras. That's the problem with SUV's in TDU-1, very very few of them ever get made by modders who know how to set the interior the right way.
  13. Take a look at the rearview mirrors, they're cameras, that's why the rearview is in the dash, it's a screen. And this car has 718 horsepower total with 2 electric motors and a 500hp V8, it's faster than an Enzo, and gets 78 miles per gallon to boot. Now if I could only find the real gear ratios for this car......
  14. Transparent Carbon Fiber was done by StarGT with the Veyron SS, paintable in any color, the same could be done with a stainless steel texture.
  15. In every game modding community there's always one vehicle/weapon/item that's done over and over again. In all versions of CounterStrike it's been Glocks, Desert Eagles, M4's, MP5's, and AK's in that order, with at least 75 to 100 of each weapon. In Day of Defeat and DoD Source, it was the sniper rifles, then the Thompsons, then the BARs that were overdone. In GTA-3, Vice City, and San Andreas it was Nissan Skylines, mostly R34's that were overdone. In TDU unfortunately it's Veyrons, I've got 26 different veyron files in my Bugatti folder, and I think I'm missing a few of the older ones. The bar is set fairly high at this point. The best thing I can think of to beat the current "best Veyron" is the convertible Veyron from TDU-2, and link the windows to the removable hardtop. Drop the windows while driving, and the removable top retracts backwards and shrinks into the body. Make sure the interior colors work, both paint colors and the stroke color works, the front and rear wheels are the same size, and the textures aren't mega-dark and you've got the number one Veyron spot locked up. And that's just an IDEA, not a request, so don't get your panties in a twist over it. I just don't see the point of a 13000 poly shadow model when the exact same shadow could be obtained with a 3000 poly model, maybe even less than that. The CPU is the ONLY thing that sees the shadow model, and a 13K shadow is going to run at a slower framerate in the game than a sub-3K shadow. The best and easiest thing any modder can do to see what they do and don't need in a shadow model is to find a plastic model car, or even a hotwheels or matchbox car will work, and a flashlight. Turn the lights off and shine that flashlight down onto the model at angles that match the sunlight in TDU. Pay attention to the details you see, and the details you DON'T see. Things like sunken gascaps, ridges on the hood, details inside the grill, flush headlights, detailed window trim, those kinds of things are NOT going to cast a shadow, especially in TDU's limited shadow engine.
  16. If modders would listen to people and fix their own bugs, that kind of thing could be eliminated. But instead they release one version, deny any bugs, and never bother to fix things. It's a really bad precedent started by a previous modder, and it's one that I wish would die out. There's nothing wrong with going back and fixing bugs and releasing a new version.
  17. This one is going to be a problem car, it's going to be one of those mods that forces the camera seat sliders to be all the way down to have any viable camera at all. Exterior cameras are no problem, but finding working interior cameras is going to be problematic at best, especially the cockpit_back cam.
  18. Interior color support would have been nice, but at least I can SEE the interior in this version. Cameras are the same for this mod as the other Huayra, but the IK is going to be different, I'm going to try to find something that works with a 4 point seatbelt without flying the belt out of the car. If you don't use a 4 point belt, just use the Saleen S7 IK.
  19. It needs to actually be finished. It makes no sense for the front and rear bumpers to be grey but the rest of the body white, with no TDU paintshop option at all. To be honest I don't really care if the real DeLorean was made from Stainless Steel and weren't painted from the factory, they CAN be painted. Just put "painted DeLorean" in Google images for proof.
  20. You guys from V8Motors need to start providing outside download links like GameFront or RapidShare until you can get rid of that blackhole exploit kit your site is infected with. So far you're the ONLY Russian TDU site that's infected.
  21. Why do the brake discs change colors as the wheels rotate?
