Tool831: Mazda RX-7 [V2.0] [3 Versions] (No Spoiler Released)
Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
The Veilside is sitting off-center on the screen, the whole car is shifted left about 10 inches, this is effecting all of the view cameras, especially the hood and interior cameras. And you're not supposed to be locking the .3DG files anymore when you're converting someone else's work. For those looking for body swaps for the Vielside that have better performance, try the Ferrari 612, the Saleen S7, and the Noble cars. The 612 sits a bit high but the internal camera view is good (still shifted left). The S7 sits nice and low, with just a hint of fender rub on the front. I'll be trying the Alpha 8C and a couple other cars next. -
For lack of a better description term, it needs more "ricer buzz". I don't know any other way to describe it. The Evo has that raspy buzzing sound normally associated with high revving small displacement 4 bangers. 988HP Evo...:eek2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK4nxEBc5gw This sound also needs to be fixed to go to 7500 RPM if it's going to be in the RS4 slot, right now it's only going to 6500, after that the sound doesn't change anymore.

Maybe if it was a different color it would look better, but that mix of white and carbon fiber black makes it look like a wingtip shoe from the 1930's.....

Tool831: 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI [Stock & 6 Kits Released][v1.2]
Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
It IS because of TDU, every single car in the game goes darker when you drive into the shadows, this is not a bug, it's PART OF THE GAME. Those other mods that you downloaded that didn't go dark in the shadows, THOSE mods are bugged.... -

It's not a bug, it's part of the game itself, check on any of the cars that actually came with the game, they ALL go dark when you drive through shadows. Any mod that you downloaded that didn't go dark in the shadows, THAT is a bug. -
Tool831: 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI [Stock & 6 Kits Released][v1.2]
Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
It's not your model, you only converted it, so you have no right to claim dominion over it. Same polygon count, same polygon distribution, same UV Mapping, same textures, same smoothing groups, same smoothing errors. The car and it's textures came from Most Wanted, whether or not tool ripped them himself is irrelevant. I guess I wasn't the only one who thought the Japanese license plates were suspicious...... Semantics, the model should be credited to EA, period. Oh and I found quite a few instances of tool claiming direct credit on other NFS rips, claiming he created things himself when he didn't. Oh and point of fact, nobody else but you two seems to have any problem giving proper credit on the models they post here, you two are converting other people's work and claiming the credit as your own and that needs to change. -

Locking out the .3DG files didn't stop me from finding out where the model really came from . . . Car model, Interior model, and Textures, originally created by.....Electronic Arts. Converted to TDU by.....Tool831. Converting a car does NOT give someone the right to take credit for it or claim "infinite dominion" over it, which means we shouldn't have to ask tool for permission to edit the model because it isn't his to begin with. The same goes for all the other NFS rips as well..... -

Both download links lead to Rapidshare..... -
Is the 30 song limit for the 4 built in radio stations, or does that count for the self-made folders as well??? Because if it counts for both, I hate it. For whatever reason, I'm only allowed to make 4 extra folders in the Radio folder, any other folders get completely ignored by the game.

There's a few decent versions of the IROC made for San Andreas listed here... http://gta-worldmods.t-n-network.de/phpkit/start/include.php?path=GTA_SA/Downloadcars.php Check the Chevy section, one of those IROCs is really well made, I just can't remember which one.

Tool831: Honda S2000 (Version 1, 2, 3, 4 Released)
Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
You're jumping on people for NO REASON and it seriously needs to stop dude. You did the same thing to me just for suggesting a way to fix a bugged up texture, I never released anything I just made a simple suggestion but you tried to claim that I was "editing your work". You. Need. To. CHILL. OUT ! ! ! Nobody is releasing anything, if someone wants to make a change to a car you CONVERTED in their own personal game, there shouldn't be any problem with that as long as they don't release their changes. -
released big-t1991: Porsche 911 GT2 (997) -New Update- 21.04.09
Kurgan777 replied to big-t1991's topic in Vehicle Mods
I think I know what the problem is with the doors. It looks like the pivot points are swapped from left to right. The left door is assigned to the right side's pivot point, and the right door is assigned to the left side's pivot point. Swap them back around and it should be fine. -
That's a problem on ALL modding forums, and it only gets worse on those forums that lack any scratch building modelers. Being a "modder" doesn't necessarily mean that someone is a "modeler", they're two very different things. On all the counterstrike modding forums, people are only interested in creating yet ANOTHER clone of the AK-47, or M-16, or M4, or Glock, or whatever the most cloned weapons are, meanwhile the request forums are filled to the brim with excellent ideas. Oh look, we've got yet another AK-47 started today, that's going to end up looking exactly the same as the other 237 AK's already done...... On the car forums, everyone wants the FnF cars, or the Initial D or Wangan Midnight cars. All the other requests only get ignored because there's nobody with the skills enough to make those cars from scratch, they can only CONVERT what someone else already did.....
-
Search Function. There's already two other requests for Escort Cosworths, and one of them was in the top five topics when you made this......

Here's the Gemballa 5 spoke with center nut... And here's the one I'm working on with the 5 lug pattern... Looking at that picture now, I've got some changes to make to match the proper curves on the bolt lip and the outer rim itself.
-
New renders of the optimized rims, I took out just over 1700 polys and you can hardly tell the difference.
-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/NewModels/FrontRim.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/NewModels/RearRim.jpg I don't know what the polygon limit for rims in TDU is, but these are kinda heavy at 4800, plus I still need to add the bolt holes, or I could just add a center nut to keep it simple. I can still optimize a bit to bring the polycount down too, I added details that won't realistically be seen ingame. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/NewModels/FrontRimNew.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/NewModels/RearRimNew.jpg New polycount is 3072 and I still haven't made the lug nut holes, or a center racing lug nut. Which would people prefer, or just make both?

Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
I don't remember any gap problems with the interior on the LP-640, just a seatbelt sticking out of the car a very tiny bit, and the LP-640 is the proper scale.- 99 replies

Since the smoke and it's direction can be moved as has been proven by many mods, just point it out the bottom of the car into the ground, you'll never see it.

wip Porsche CGT|J/T Tuning: Gemballa Mirage GT [Ingame Pic´s]
Kurgan777 replied to Porsche Carrera GT's topic in TDU - Support
If you don't have the specific Gemballa rims already made for this one, I'm working on a set right now... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/NewModels/WIP_RIM_RENDER.jpg Very early WIP, and most likely way too high poly for TDU so they'll have to be heavily optimized. I plan on making a proper front and rear set, with the rear a bit bigger than the front, and dished inward as well. Good for the RUF's or any other car in the game with a dual rim set.- 61 replies
