Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
The interior is all Murcielago/LP640 except for the gauges. Nobody ever answered it before, why did Eden/Atari disable digital gauges in the PC version of the game???- 99 replies

released Tool831: 2008 Lamborghini Reventon V1.0
Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
For everyone looking for a sound for this car, I highly recommend this one..... http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=9289 It's a real screamer V12 sound, an excellent fit for any high revving V-12 in the game. Also, since mostly everyone else is too googly-eyed to say something, I'll do it... This car should have went to Beta and not full release. And sorry but no, I'm not going to just "shut up and be happy" that there's a Reventon done like I've been told to do by someone who thinks he doesn't make mistakes, especially when there's so many problems with the car, and personally I think so many people would be far more appreciative of a quality release rather than a rushed release. Bugs... 1. The scale of the car isn't right ingame, it's too small. I put it right next to the LP-640 in the garage and the size difference is immense. The real Reventon is the same width as the LP-640, the wheelbases are exactly the same for both cars, but the Reventon is 4 inches longer than the LP-640. In the game, the Rev isn't as wide as it needs to be, it's not as long as it needs to be, and it's not tall enough. Scaling it up would fix these, and would also help with the different body swaps people are trying. 2. The rear wheels are way too small. It actually looks like the front rim is bigger than the rear. The real Reventon runs 1 inch bigger on the rear rims than it does on the front, just like the Murcielago and the LP-640. 3. The nose vents are still wrong, this is a 5 minute fix at the most, grab the verts and move them inward where they belong. CTRdesign modeled it wrong himself for whatever unfathomable reason and never bothered to fix it, but there's no reason that bug should be kept in every version of the car. It really takes away from the look of the front end. 4. The lower carbon "tail spoiler", whatever it's called sticks out just a bit too far, and also seems to be too far away from the body. Tuck it up in closer and it would look better. 5. Smoothing errors all over the car, most noticeably in the rear quarterpanels on both sides, on the roof where the doors connect, in the point of the nose, too many to list them all. This is mostly CTRdesigns' fault because the model is too low-poly, but the biggest ones could easily have been fixed.- 99 replies

The 512 TestaRossa does 195mph stock, just a little too fast for both cars.

If I could find some skidpad G ratings or slalom runs for both cars, I think you'd be surprised at how good the Saleen Mustangs really are. Mid 80's technology versus 2006 (or higher) technology. My money goes on the newer stuff. To be honest, the handling in this game isn't exactly the most realistic either. 90% of the cars understeer like crazy until you mess with the controller sensitivity settings, which instantly effects the turning radius of every car in the game. TDU is the only game where "controller sensitivity" changes vehicle turning radius. All the rest just make the controller react faster or slower. If you're curious about this, here's a test that you can do on your own game.....go into the settings and turn down the sensitivity, then go back into the game, rotate the camera view around your car until you can see the front wheels, now turn the steering wheel completely both ways. The wheels barely move. Now go back into the settings and max out the sensitivity and repeat the test. The wheels rotate well beyond realistic limits. And with the mods, how many times has a mid engine car been swapped into a front engined car's place with these mods??? The Audi R8 going into one of the Aston Martin slots is just one example, the Ariel Atom on the Caterham is another. Most people try to match the performance stats, to try to keep things realistic in that area. Unless they want an insanely fast "sleeper" (that only they'll see). I've done that myself, I put the Skyline R33 with the bodykit on the McLaren F1 GT (longtail), I even kept the GT's rims because they fit perfectly with the Skyline.
-
From the stats I could find, the Saleen S281 3 Valve Convertible matches the GT5-S almost perfectly in 0-60 and top speed. Handling is subjective due to the way this game handles the controller sensitivity settings. I'll never get rid of my 250 GTO ! ! ! That is the #1 Ferrari on my list, it will NEVER be replaced.

I used the search, couldn't find some of these, I figured it would be easier to combine them into a single topic.... 1984 Ferrari BB512i ----------------------- http://www.carsclassic.com/stock/1984%20FERRARI%20BOXER%20BB512I.htm http://www.fast-autos.net/vehicles/Ferrari/1981/512i_BB/ This is one of my favorite Ferrari's of all time, and rightfully should have been in TDU by default and would have been perfect sitting next to the Miura and the Countach. Make it to fit on the existing Ferrari 308 "Magnum PI" car and it would be perfect (I like the 288 GTO too much to overwrite it). 1985 DeTomaso Pantera GT5-S ------------------------------------ http://www.fast-autos.net/vehicles/Detomaso/1985/Pantera_GT5-S/ Ford 351 Windsor power Italian Style :D It would be a perfect fit on one of the Saleen Mustangs, buy the regular 'Stang GT, tune it and get the Pantera

Is the interior cam in TDU the same as GTASA ? Because they figured out how to do it there by moving the corresponding dummy "marker".
-
There's one already made for GTA-SA, looks like they combined parts from GRID and Juiced 2. http://gta-worldmods.t-n-network.de/phpkit/start/include.php?path=content/download.php&contentid=4271 Find someone to convert that, or do the same thing they did, use parts from other game models.

While quite a few of those look good, and I'll end up using them on other cars, they're still all just single files, not front and rear sets.
-
I need properly done custom rim sets for the RUF and Murcielago that have the rear rim dished inward, and larger than the front rim. All the sets I've found so far just have the front rim copied into the rear rim slot and it doesn't look right on those cars No black rims please, out of the 60+ cars in my garages only two are black, and IMHO the black rims only go with black cars.

Skepsis: NEW Ultimate Pagani Zonda F SOUND+gifts!
Kurgan777 replied to Skepsis's topic in Car Customization Mods
I just put this sound on the LP-640 (Murc_Cpe slot), and it's absolutely AWESOME ! ! ! I've been looking for an open exhaust sounding V-12 sound for that car for a while, now it's never getting changed:excited: Now I just need a good set of rims with the rear rim dished in and the LP-640 will be done. -
Excellent thanks, time to replace the ugly Lexus....

I did the same thing the other day, I usually back up the cars as I install them, but this one I forgot to do that. I was trying out different cars for the new Skyline R-33 with the bodykit, so I tried the VW W-12 Roadster, and forgot to back up the files before I installed the new ones. I found an exterior modded version for the W-12 Roadster, but was never able to find a replacement interior. So now I'm stuck with the VW W-12 Roadster with the interior of the W-12 Coupe with the rollcage sticking out above the windshield.

Any chance on a re-upload for this one?

ßeta BasBas2004: Bugatti Veyron [v1.6] (Interior Beta available!)
Kurgan777 replied to BasBas2004's topic in TDU - Support
So is this car mod now officially stopped or what? Because I didn't read through all 18 pages of stuff, and there's still some pretty big bugs. 1. The driver is invisible. This causes the camera to fly around like crazy during the mission cutscenes. 2. The passenger is sitting in the middle of the car, straddling the stick shift:eek2: 3. The inner door panels are just flat slabs with no texture. 4. The driver's view is obscured by the road surface reflection texture on the inside of the windows. The exterior of the model is great though. -
Not really a fan of the vinyl top on Chevelle's.

dead link Tool831: Nissan Skyline R33 V1.0 *Stock & Kit 1 Released*
Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
I wasn't editing your work, at this point I wouldn't even know how to, I was merely suggesting a simple fix for the backwards logo on the steering wheel. -

Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
That could be a simple photoshop fix, flop just the logo, then mirror the texture, that way it will appear the right way once it's in the car. -

Anybody else noticed that the Nissan logo on the steering wheel is backwards for both cars? -

Kurgan777 replied to Tool831's topic in Vehicle Mods
I was messing around trying out different high powered cars for the kitted version, and I accidentally over-wrote the VW W-12 Roadster before I backed it up :( I read in a post here somewhere that there's supposed to be an original model replacement topic around here? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/TopSecretR33_2.jpg The top is when I tried to replace the Saleen S7, and the bottom one is the VW W12 swap. I also tried swapping out the Enzo, which was my favorite of the three, the ride height was just a hair higher on the Enzo than it was on the W-12. I wanted it to be like this one.... Anybody got a sound file like that? -
Here's a funny little bug I just saw yesterday... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/20090402123429.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/Clipboard01.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/Kurgan777/20090402123334.jpg Not complaining at all, just thought it was funny to see the AI driver broken in half and stuffed through the hood :D I replaced the regular 350-Z, and my driver is fine, just the AI driver that gets folded in half like that.
-
If it's the car I'm thinking of, there's a good version of it done in stock and rally trim for GTA-San Andreas. Maybe someone could convert it.
-
For those who've read the book or watched the movie "Christine", that's the one. I've never seen a quality model of it done for any car game that's ever been moddable. There was a really REALLY BAD version of it attempted for GTA-SA, I think it had MAYBE 200 polygons in it and no texture at all..... If someone takes up the challenge, maybe make it fit the Chrysler 300-C, the Challenger, or the Charger, keep it in the MOPAR family :D

released Grin116: BMW M6 & AC Schnitzer M6 (E63)
Kurgan777 replied to Grin116's topic in Vehicle Mods
I replaced both the DB9 Volante and the Coupe with both versions of the model, and the same thing is happening, the driver is merged with the seat, it looks like the driver's seat is too far forward for some reason, and when the doors open, they're just floating in mid-air.
