  1. yeh i dont find that it uses too much petrol. the alternative is to get a falcon and put it on gas which amounts to same cost as a corolla on petrol. But you have to remember that you will have more money by then providing you have a job and dont waste too much money. When i was your age, i really wanted to buy a car but i thought i would only get something like a sigma, so i was looking for sigma's but i never got one, i waited until i was 18 so i could afford a better car, and i suggest you do the same as you will get a car that wont be a headache, as my magna was. my second car was a million times better.
  2. Mate you really should go a modern-ish common car, and your best getting a holden or ford. I totally understand you wanting something out of the ordinary, and you should get that in due time but not as your first car. When i was 18 i got a perfect condition magna through the family, which cost me 3 grand in maintenance in just one year, and then died i sold it for $100 to wreckers. Then i got a vt commodore wagon at 19 with 440,000kms and has been almost perfect the whole time. It is still my main car and now has 494,000kms and is running as strong as ever even though i thrash it every single day at every corner and race off at every traffic light. I wont be bothered getting another car until the engine dies but the engine has been bullet proof. And bullet proof is exactly what you want in a first car, then down the track if you happen to have extra money, go and buy an alpha or whatever as a second car. I have a second car which is a perfect 1966 HR holden. But it truly is just a weekend car. My girlfriend has a wonderful 1988 red e30 bmw, she bought it when she was 16, and we both love it, but the servicing and parts costs were astronomical, she grew sick of the bottomless pit of money and is now looking for a holden adventra because she is jealous of the low severing costs and reliability of my car. By the time you're 18 you will have more money. and will earn a lot more when that time comes, so if you are working for a couple of years on a decent wage you will be able to get a car you really want. My next car will probably a renault clio sport or a v8 holden because i can now afford it hope that helps
  3. maybe we should meet at the pontiac dealer since our "monaro" is there. As for the name, might be cheesy but i like it "The Kangaroos" or "The Aussie Drunk Divers", ah i dunno
  4. i knew an aussie would get this one. For those who dont know. This is originally was a holden premier which was sent to japan for mazda, which put in a 13b rotary and a few of their own things. There were around 800 in existance. But they were particularly expensive and the rotary in a big car caused 27litres per 100kms. which is twice as much a current holden hsv 317kw GTS
  5. well yes you are both well on your way but not right answers, i will give a clue in a couple of hours. however the constantia while being a similar car, it is not exactly a twin. notice how it is longer, it is also more luxurious. In a similar way that 7 series bmw is different to a 5 series. Also i would like to know off scar, how did you come across the brewster in the first place, anyone old i have talked has never heard of it. And im still intrigued by the car.
  6. and i thought my tdu experiences were rough with red rings etc, but gtr has had the worst luck, im glad your happy now. I am close to being happy with it too, just need to work out onlineness and i will be set
  7. oh and do you play online crysis if so what was your name in it? i used to play it
  8. i'll be up for it. I had tdu on xbox before red ring of death so i am playing through it again. but i will need to learn how online multiplayer works, because it seems weird, sometimes i have like 8 people on the map, and other times i am the only one. Does that seem right? and how would we find each other in the right server, or whatever happens?
  9. 1934-1936 brewster convertible. Only 5 made I believe. http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii231/soopafast/brewster.jpg http://www.geocities.com/dons_neatstuff/needed.htm http://blog.modernmechanix.com/category/transportation/automotive/page/8/ some of the studebakers looked very similar, so that through me off, but i got there in the end! i actually want a brewster convertible now, i love it. Try this one: http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii231/soopafast/bugatti-veyron-2.jpg
  10. Im guessing its a 1930's batmobile. haha but my best guess is an american car 1935-1939. how am i going so far?
  11. i didnt know there were cars in NYC unless they were a cab, i'd hate to live there from what i gather you cant do much driving there.
  12. i think i will have to pull out. I am not connecting with anyone else on the server, eg im the only one on the map. Any suggestions?
  13. is it even a mazda perhaps made outside of japan, but keeping the name? If it is my guess is mazda 1000
  14. it is left hand drive, so maybe that can narrow the country of origin down
  15. is it a YLN? probably not but just throwing it in the mix
  16. he's right, nice work, i spent over 3 hours on it and still couldnt find it
  17. When i fist got test drive there were other people in the server like it would shoot up to 8 people and then would go down to just me then back up again, is this normal? But now i play test drive and no one else in on, is something wrong?
  18. i have now been searching for nearly 3 hours and this was the closest i got http://www.google.com.au/search?rlz=1C1CHMG_enAU300AU303&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=matra+rancho
  19. i have spent wayyyy too long trying to find this one, even with the clues, i will try again at the next clue
  20. the gtsr wasn't on NFS3, it was this one http://www.supercars.net/carpics/784/1998_HSV_VTGTS220i2_small.jpg a 1998 vt gts, Totally different car shape, but does have almost identical engine. That 4wd is giving me the sh##s, i really cant find it. And yeh i understood what outlaw was talking about, after reading it 6 or 7 times. talking about 2 different topics in the same sentence, is bound to play tricks on anyone reading it!
  21. nice find outlaw, yeah that gtsr has been my love since i first saw one on the road in 1996, you dont see them anymore because they are so collectable. can go for the price of a house these days. btw i have a picture of that silver lambo in my callander on my wall. And believe it or not, i found out about that UMM by the number plate which is portuguese, so i figured it was a portuguese 4wd, typed that into google and i was right! I like this game. I will try the next one tommorow, to late to play Mr detective right now.
  22. I want more details than that. But good work so far!
  23. Sorry about my noobness before. I didnt notice the rules, im sure you can forgive me. And yeah it was pretty dumb to have the name of the car on the bottom of the picuture, well im here to pick up my standards, with the answer below. It's the UMM Alter, Made in portugal. http://www.google.com.au/search?rlz=1C1CHMG_enAU300AU303&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=umm+alter Now i think its my turn, right? http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii231/soopafast/the-clue-is1996.jpg
