Hello! All was fine with my sound.. UNTIL.. some time ago i get NO sound from the front left and right speakers. If i plug them into the REAR jack they give sound, so speakers work. They are correctly wired, so thats not the problem. On the 5.1 Windows sound test, the sound frmo left and right speaker comes from centre, and if i deactivatre centre it comes from rear speakers, if i deactivatet hem comes from subwoofer, if i deactivate it, it doesnt sound :| Whats wrong? Reinstalling drivers now EDIT: NVM, re installing drivers sorted it out?

Finished building this pc :) Ended up with 1600mhz DDR3 RAM 8GB and a cooler master V6 GT Nvidia Geforce GT440 DDR5

Could be, or not. :P The new Wheel is not on the Porsche Wheel Line. Fanatec has released Porsche Wheels while EA had the license. The new Wheels and pedals belong to a new line, called the CSR Its intermediate Porsche wheel < CSR < Clubsport the CSR Elite will have a new engine, some say its better than FREXX and eliminates all mechanical feelings and its the best blabla, and it might boost itself into 700$, not sure if that includes CSR pedals or Elite CSR Pedals CSR pedals are like reduced clubsports and withOUT magnetic contactless for clutch and throttle, but still a load cell brake. not sure if that is the CSR elite pedals or CSR Pedals or whats the difference between them. CSR pedals dont need any modding and switching to invert. the CSR wheel (not elite) has same motor as the GT2. And if i remember correctly, the CSR shifter is a modified normal shifter and there is also a clubsport shifter in dev and a clubsport handbrake, which will both be epic. And also, if im not wrong again, a clubsport wheel is being developed, not sure if its F1 style or how it is though. I doubt its because EA holds the license for porsche in videogames that fanatec cant make new porsche wheels. I mean, EA only holds its license for video game production, right? xD

Its possible :P but things here are cheaper. from that list i have the motherboard, the case and the wireless PCI card and the DVD burner. and i changed the graphics card to Asus EAH6670 1GB GDDR5 Next month i shall buy the RAM's. And maybe some neon's..

That graphics card is compatible with the motherboard and i had decided the hardware before buying :P But now i thought id buy something more powerfull as graphics card. Think im going for that 6670

Thanks for all the replies ;) I also dialed the store and they also said it can be due to the lack of CPU. Before turning it on without CPU, sometime ago, when i bought the PSU, just to check Panel connections and fans, the dude on the store told me there is no problem at all just powering it up with no CPU/RAM, to test the panel connections etc. Anyways thankies :)

Hello When i open my DVD burner tray, on the computer im building, ( i have the case, motherboard, dvd drive and W-Lan card only, for now ) It goes isntantly back in. I took it to the shop where i bought it and it worked fine there, just plugged to teh PSU, and both to the PSU and the motherboard. I noticed at home that when i connect it only to the PSU its fine. But if i connect it to the motherboard and the PSU, it comes back in as soon as it opens. I tried another SATA cable and SATA port on the motherboard. Could it be due to the lack of CPU? ( i doubt, but i hope so) Or could it be a damaged motherboard? Please help me on that one lol thanks The motherboard is the Asus M4A78LT-M

I used Prime95 to get it under load and it was under load for around 10 mins

Im not gona do it on that pc :P Its for my dad's company so il leave it stock. but the one im building has same motherboard, same CPU, same RAM, same PSU, same case, same DVD burner, same cooler, only thing that differs is the graphics card. dad's company has a Asus GeForce GT440 while im prefering for me ( correct me and explain why ) for gaming purposes the Gigabyte HD5570 OC 1GB DDR3 HDMI, and yea the asus geforce gt440 is GDDR5. Should i go for the GT440? Anyways on mine, i WILL overclock, but il let 1 month pass to see if its stable. Anyways i've only got the case, mobo and dvd burner yet so....yea xD

If you read carefully you'l notice that i did NOT overclock it xD the cpu is quad core 3.10ghz. and with the cooler i chose for it, Cooler Master Vortex Plus, under a torture test, all cores 100% load it did NOT go over 51ºC. Which got me in an overclocking mode, but i did NOT :p

Hope so too. Thanks :) the Computer is on, did a CPU torture test, the quad core AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.10ghz did not go over 51ºC with the cooler Master vortex Plus, which got me in an overclocking mood^^ but i didnt overclock it

Thanks to everyone who replied ;) The Fault was detected and resolved. At the store he could not seem to find faulty hardware, so i reminded myself.. Wait maybe there is a short circuit with the board, on the case, as i forgot those things to make the board higher so its contact-less with the case, and i said that and he then said i was right. So i went to my dad's company, re assembled the PC but out of the case and it worked, woop GG Asus, you made a motherboard which survived short circuits on a lot of spots on the motherboard and which made a LOT of smoke. Works very well, its not burnt on any spot, the motherboard.

@ozzcom if the PSU was not powerfull enough it would not smoke/produce smell. Me n my dad are 99% Sure the smoke came from teh PSU ,so did the smell. With my PSU there was no smoke, but there was smell. And it smelled liked the PSU :| We checked the CPU and its not burnt. @Ryzza Motherboard is not shorting on the case, but il double check that today. i trid with HDD disconnected both from power and data cable. only things that i suspect most are RAM or Motherboard. Before me n my dad take it to the shop, we'll see if the mobo is shorting.

Hey there im building a pc for myself, but i have not got all of the hardware, yet. Anyways my dad bought hardware to build a pc for his company, and im building it. So i connected and mounted everything and i triple checked, everything was well mounted and connected. I turned it on..no USB keyboard/Mouse Signal, and no VGA signal. Unplugged the GFX and tried the onboard.. nothing not to mention that i noticed a lot of bad smell and smoke coming from the PSU ( i think it was teh PSU ;) semt like it) So i tried my PSU which is the same one. it gives a weird smell on that computer, yet after that, trying on my motherboard, it doesnt give any smell. we checked the CPU and it was NOT burnt, was just normal. Has a Cooler Master cooler and dissipator on top of it. Its not the GFX cause we tried without it. Doubt its the PSU tho on that pc it produces a weird smell. Could be RAM or motherboard :/ Every piece of hardware was bought yesterday. I did not touch the RAM contacts btw, cose of static electricity. What could it be :S Tomorrow going to the shop with the pc, built, so they can analise it and test the hardware on their test pc.
