1. Beautiful and detailed work, top mod as usual. Thanks a lot Minime!
2. That's not very practical as you have to close the game, open TDU2VPE, load the car, import the BIN file, apply changes and get back to the game. Now imagine doing this over and over again... I don't think miktop would delete all that he has done just because he's going to stop anyway. BTW I actually bought the game like a year or two after it was released and I never finished it. I got to Hawaii last championships and got lazy
3. @miktop81: I agree with you and I know what you're talking about as I've been making some custom tunes in my own game. My conclusion so far is that semi-realistic performance works well, totally realistic not really... Just an example: I installed the AMG GTR and did a "realistic performance" for it with TDU2VPE (not totally realistic because I can't get the info on some values so I just leave them with the values of the replaced car). With real gear ratios and stats the car is slow (1:36.24 lap in Ibiza's track, even the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera is faster), so I replaced the bhp and torque figures (as well as top speed, 0-100 times etc.) with the values of the real life Renntech Stage II upgrade (which includes replaced turbos and ECU tune). I'll have to test it but just looking to the graph in the gear ratio section of TDU2VPE it made a big difference. I think the developers of the game overpowered some cars on purpose because the roads don't allow them to perform as they could, due to the bumps, corners etc.
4. You keep improving the joy and experience of TDU2 players with these mods of yours. Great job as usual, acan't wait to see what you're coming up with in the next months. P.S. Is that Audi R8 in the video the default one from the game or is it a mod? Looks much better than usual.
5. @miktop81 I found something that I think is a bug and I want to report it and know if I'm the only one with this problem or not, I also have two questions. First, when I start a race or challenge with the Porsche 918 Spyder the car sound is fine, but if I pause the game and retry the challenge the car sound is gone and it only comes back if I quit the challenge completely, go back to the map and and enter it again. Oh, and in the database this same car is named as "918 GT" instead of "918 Spyder". Here are my questions though: I noticed in your videos that to test your realistic performance pack you created a time attack challenge in a section of Hawaii's highway but in Ibiza the game won't let me create any type of challenge in the highway except if it's a solo speed run. Any explanation for this? Also, why are there two "Ferrari 458 Italia's" in the database? One is the Coupé and the other is the Spider right? I noticed that their performance is linked and if one changes anything in one of them it changes in the other as well.
6. Yes, I already voted. About the camera I remembered it should be on facebook as well but after I posted, anyway thanks MicroMachine
7. @miktop81: I also noticed that in your latest videos, so I changed my mind and as obvious my vote is also NO to real performance.
8. My opinion is keep the changes to the cars that you've already made. Waiting for other people's comments.
9. @StarGT Kiborg-dva is your friend and has also helped with some stuff in Autopack right? Maybe you can ask him to give you his Noble M600 mod and you can add it to Autopack? Here's a link of the mod: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFQXxZK5mXM
10. Project Cars is hardly a free roam racing game. TDU2 physics are worse than TDU but with "CTR physics mod" it's not that bad either. Still better than FH3 in some aspects. I love this game, way far ahead of its time, I'm one of the people who would like just a little bit more realism as I mentioned earlier, but if it's that much work and time consuming I think it's better to forget about it and leave everything as you wanted. Those who want it can do that by themselves. Personally, I'm trying to do realistic performance files for some car mods that I'm using but I'm having some issues with TDU2 VPE (as you may see in the support section), I don't have that much time as well. Thanks a LOT both to you and StarGT for your hard work. :notworthy:
11. @Ramon1991cobra You did such a great job with the renewed Hawaii and Ibiza environment mods, seeing that pic with the sunflowers makes me wonder, have you thought about doing season retextures? (spring, summer, autumn... winter there's already one mod) Now that Forza Horizon 4 has been announced with dynamic seasons and copying a lot of features from the TDU series it would be a nice idea.
12. I could swear I had some sort of tire or rim megapack that I downloaded from you before lol Great job! Concerning what MagicV8 said, can you maybe add some of the Pirelli P-Zero Color Edition tires? Something like this:
13. @miktop81: Saw the videos you posted, they look good to me, the FXXK top speed in real life is listed at 349,2 km/h or 217 mph but I understand what you said before and the car can surely do more than that (specially with tuning), despite the drag forces and being a car built for downforce, so I'm fine with it. The Veyron SS has a top speed world record of 431.072 km/h (267.856 mph), in your table you have the "top speed" set as 415 km/h and "top speed ingame" as 427 km/h, which is close enough. Thanks for the work.
14.
OK @TDU3FTW. ... But and the fact is that All Bugatti's are limited!!!! Veyron's - 16/4. Grand sport and custom versions of grand sport are limited to 360km/h. Even Super Sport and Chiron are limited to 380km/h. That is at real life man not what they can get.... P.S: Your posts start make me angry. If you can do it better then go on!!! Everyone is free to do what he want at his game. But that is my vision of the cars and i try to do everything to get much realism...
As far as I know, in real life the limiter in some of the Veyrons and the Chiron can be unlocked with the top speed keys or whatever they call it, if I'm not mistaken? Anyway, yes of course, everyone is free to do whatever they want, that's why I started trying to do performance mods for some car mods I've installed that aren't part of the Autopack. I appreciate the job you guys are doing, like everyone else, just sharing my opinions and feedback, as other people did, guess you didn't notice that. And I wasn't the one bringing up the issue of some cars being "overpowered" either, I hadn't even noticed that quite frankly. You're the one doing this but don't forget this is a pack that you guys started doing for the community. You were talking in a selfish way a couple posts ago, and honestly I didn't like that, if that's the attitude better stop doing whatever you're doing. BTW Yes, I noticed in previous replies to me that you were rude for no reason whatsoever, even when in my lack of knowledge earlier I reported something as a bug that it wasn't. I haven't said or did anything to justify that attitude. If you don't know how to react to other people's opinions, which everyone is entitled to, or have misinterpreted any post of mine, that's not my fault.
15. Don't get me wrong but: 1. I can only speak for myself but personally, I like the stats to be as realistic as possible. 2. Answer me this: Why do you think the manufacturers themselves limit the cars to a certain speed? They don't win anything from that... There's a reason for everything. I'm not an expert at all, but as far as I know, there are no real life stats or proof of how the hybrid trio (P1, LAF, 918 Spyder) would perform if they could get to those sort of speeds. (420km/h or above) We don't know how they would behave, if the components would hold up together and for how long, how the cooling system, tires, engine etc. would cope with that. The Buggatis are designed and built for those speeds, as well as the Koenigseggs. Completely different ball game from 300-400 km/h and 400Km/h and above. 3. The track times between the hybrid trio depend on the tracks themselves, the climate conditions, the specific cars characteristics, how many corners, how long are the straights etc. There's a common occurrence though, the 918 Spyder usually is the fastest in most tracks, of course there are exceptions. If you watch Chris Harris video comparing the 3 of them at Portimão International Circuit, in Algarve, Portugal (exactly the same place and around the same date where they did the comparison in the Grand Tour, season 1, episode 1, but their professional driver had worse lap times than Chris Harris in all 3 cars...) the story is different though. In the same circuit, at the same time, with the same conditions, with each of them fitted with the tires they were developed with, the P1 was the fastest, not to mention when he tried it with the road legal and optional Pirelli Trofeo R's developed for the P1. The video is in Chris Harris old YouTube channel.
16. @binbow @Ramon1991cobra Hi guys, I'm trying to create some realistic performance files for some mod cars (for personal use) that I currently have installed in the game. The first one is the 2014 Audi R8 LMX by tduchicken. I'm using 2 of the best sources for info on vehicles in the net to get the stats, carfolio.com and automobile-catalog.com. The problem is the parameters in TDU2 VPE are so detailed that I can't get a lot of them, even on these sites, not even by doing a google search, besides I don't understand a LOT of these things. So far I just had to leave some fields with the default values of the car replaced and in others I will try to get the info from the closest thing, and even then the problems are the same. Right now I'm trying to get some basic info like the braking times (100-0, like in km/h or mph?) and can't find it. For instance where do I input the downforce figures of a vehicle in kg and at which speed they are achieved and the lateral g-forces when cornering? Any tips or help are appreciated. BTW I added the real gear ratios and other figures in the drivetrain section and the graph shows an estimated 0-100km/h and top speed lower than it is.
17. Ok, thanks for clearing that up and for the effort. I'm gonna stick with Autopack 1.73 for the time being until you guys fix those problems.
18. Now it sounds like a Porsche and no sync problems. Nice job!
19. @StarGT @Ramon1991cobra Like I just said in the Autopack thread, I changed my mind and would like the Ascari A10 to remain in the game as well since it's unique and there are still some models which are copy-paste versions, they could replace one of the Veyron's instead, the best choice in my opinion.
20. I know the normal F430 is an add-on, and since I haven't installed 1.8 I'll have to wait to see what you're talking about. You mean they really have added this one and replaced the normal F430 with it or they just changed the name of the normal F430 but the model is still the same: I find it strange since it's not mentioned in the changes list of 1.8. They were probably changing some things to prepare it for replacement. About the Vulcan it has to replace a car in the same class (A1) so Jaguar XKR etc. wouldn't do the trick, although replacing one of the Veyron's is not a bad idea. I'm up for that. :D
21.
We had F430 A3 class before (came in some patch before) and now its replaced with that 360 Stradale. Its same car, looks exactly same, only name was changed...so we still have an F430 in addition :p
I'm not sure about what you're saying... I'm playing with Autopack for the first time ever (1.73) and still haven't gone to Hawaii. As far as I've seen, in the game there are 3 Ferrari F430's: the normal one, the F430 Scuderia and the F430 Scuderia 16M Spider. The 360 Challenge Stradale is not a part of the Autopack yet. And despite the "normal" F430 and the 360 Challenge Stradale having some similarities in terms of design they are completely different models. @StarGT I agree with you about adding the Aston Martin Vulcan to replace the Ascari A10 in future releases of Autopack. BTW I found one "bug" in Autopack 1.73, the BMW M1 Pro Car rim is in the Ferrari folder instead of being in the BMW folder.
22. I agree, the normal F430 should be taken out and IMO the 458 Speciale should take its slot, but first it needs to be converted to TDU2. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone talking about that car yet and it's the last naturally aspirated engined Ferrari, very rare and expensive. I think Miktop meant the F430 Scuderia, there's no F430 Challenge Stradale in game, I didn't even knew such model existed, thought you were talking about the 360 Challenge Stradale (which was already converted by StarGT)
23. Will you fix the issue with the FXX Evo showing up as "FXXK" and with the wrong stats as well as the other problems that people have reported only in the next Autopack version or will you guys release a fix before?
